      @@TotallyEV Lots of good reviews, also test drove the Mokka E and VW ID3. In terms of quality miles ahead of the Mokka and I would even say better quality than the ID3 and as for range better than both again. Really pleased with it. Thanks for your great review.

    I have a 22 USA model which I got a month back. Some of the criticisms have been corrected. There is a usb socket at the back. Is a great car which qualifies for both state and federal rebates here. The facelift looks great as well.

    Hi I have a kona 64kw premium in Dark Knight Grey on order , arriving hopefully October/November.Retiring only the 2 of us so rear seating space not an issue or boot size.I had considered the Kia Nero,but the Kona had more range and more safety tech for less money.Also you had the option of having a heat pump.On my test drive, having never driven one before,much better drive than petrol or diesel a really impressive car

    Great video and commentary.
    I've got the Kona electric ultimate, and it's loaded up with tons of tech. I would say that my Android S10 quite happily runs Android Auto wirelessly?
    In terms of value, I think the Kona electric is absolutely spot on. I regularly manage around 320 miles range, and that's not driving especially frugally. The radar guided cruise control is great on motorways, and the safety kit is outstanding at this price. Using the paddles to break takes some getting used to, but once I'd cracked it, I hardly ever needed to hit the actual brake pedal. Power seats for passenger & driver seems a little overkill at this price, but it makes swapping seat positions after the wife easy - but a memory function would have been even nicer!?
    I find the head-up display to be a great driving aid, allowing you to keep your eyes on the road at all times. I had one in my old Peugeot 3008, I enjoyed using it & all cars should get one eventually. The driving aids keep you in your lane & one the road, and apply brakes if the radar spots a potential collision coming up. The high beam assist, which switches high beams off when a car approaches, then switches it back on when the coast is clear, is just one of the little things that now looks after itself, making the Kona such an effortless car to drive. Having said that, put your foot down & it gets to 60mph in around 6 seconds if the Michelin Primacy 4 tyres are swapped out for something sportier, or around 7 seconds on the Primacy's. I prefer more rane to extra acceleration - around 7 seconds is more than enough for me!
    I'd 100% recommend getting one, especially the Ultimate version, which adds heated rear (outer) seats, electric sunroof, power seats & the HUD.

      I’m thinking of getting a Kona this year but am curious about the battery replacement costs and if it’s covered under Hyundai’s warranty? Please let me know if possible tried searching online and only got vague answers

    • @TotallyEV
      @TotallyEV  2 года назад

      We don't have the answer, but suspect it'll be £10-15k to replace the battery alone. Hopefully it isn't something you'll have to do. Best asking your dealer for some more info!
      And yes, the battery is covered for an extended time under warranty.

    Despite telling us you had a heastpump installed in this model, when showing the "engine" bay 4:30

    We have ordered a new Kona Ultimate E V. and were very pleased with the test drive. When we ordered it we were told there was a memory system for the driver's seat adjustment (both of us drive and use 2 different driving positions). I have now looked at a couple of reviews for the model, which have not mentioned this facility. We will be very disappointed if the vehicle does not come with this facility as this is why we chose the "Ultimate" model with the electric seats,

    • @TotallyEV
      @TotallyEV  2 года назад +1

      From memory, pun intended, it doesn't have memory seats - but do let us know otherwise!

    • @robertdoran3406

      @@TotallyEV We have an ultimate on order too. The dealer told us that the electric seats do not have memory. Shame as we both drive but not enough to dissuade us from our order. We also ordered the heat pump which will save mileage loss when cold and using the heating as well as when we have the air conditioning on in summer. We are told we should expect the car in November/December. Our Nissan Leaf is for return in March. I think we should make a profit on the resale of the Leaf even if return before March.
