Practically MRT is not an anti-virus. It just helps to detect any corrupt file or cracked file which has been installed in your pc/laptop. It never protects the computer from gaining any virus files or take any action against it. Instead the windows powershell antivirus to some extent helps to protect your computer by fast detecting the virus but that is too not a replacement of any antivirus software.

I used to rely on Windows Security, but then after a virus attack, The virus deleted Windows Security files from registry, and no files were corrupted, only deleted, so windows could not fix any "corrupt" files. Had to reinstall my windows installation entirely.

I do torrent a lot too. You really just don't need a paid antivirus these days. Windows defender used to be shit, it isn't anymore, especially if you have an original windows copy.

I used to rely on Windows Security, but then after a virus attack, The virus deleted Windows Security files from registry, and no files were corrupted, only deleted, so windows could not fix any "corrupt" files. Had to reinstall my windows installation entirely.
