The final build value for this Tomo keyboard is estimated to be around $800 USD.
NOICE dude. This build came out insanely clean.
Thanks man! Appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to watch and comment
That's an interesting color
BRO, THIS DUDE IS INSANE, ALL OF HIS REVIEW ARE PROFESSIONAL NOT AMATEURISH, IM IMPRESSED, DEFINITELY SUBSCRIBED!🙌🙌
aaayeee
Great vid on the Tomo!
In your opinion, outside of yellow, black, and white in the keycap sets used respectively, what colors do you think go well with an olive green case? Joined the Freebird TKL GB a while, ordered it in Olive Green, and might be getting relatively soon-ish.
oof
olive green delayed
Did you use the plate foam? I haven't built my Tomo yet and can't decide between Alu or PC plate and yes/no for the mid-plate foam. I only have a solder PCB so will be hard to swap later. I will be using Gateron Baby Kangaroo tactiles, currently leaning towards the Alu plate but can't decide on the foam
Which o-ring did you use? I have one left over from a 65% build and am wondering if I need a larger one.
I would use the O-ring that came with the Tomo. Best use the size that actually fits the board. I never tried a 65 board Oring on a larger board so I couldn't tell you if that's something I would recommend...
@@haurjie Mine's in the mail and I thought I'd read that the o-ring wasn't included. I'll be using this vid for build reference. Thanks!
How did u get the alu plate, feels like it’s showed as sold out since the instock went live 😢
Alu plate probably sold out fast. So disclaimer, I was at Mekibo warehouse (am friends with them), they had a few extras laying around and I had easy access of just getting it on the spot lol
It is compatible of knob version?
which do you prefer tomo or sonnet?
Sonnet
I'm a bit confused. I thought the band-aid mod was to quiet the down stroke, not to prevent ticking? Since ticking happens in the stab, not under it. And yes, the wire can tick on the PCB, but this band-aid wouldn't solve that either.
Band aid mod prevents ticking because the bottom of the stab inserts can hit the PCB just a tiny bit which causes ticking or unwanted sounds of contact
@@haurjie I wouldn't call that ticking personally. But that's kinda splitting hairs. Nice vid.
damn this client really dove into the hobby getting an endgame keeb as their first one
He's like 2 months into it and he's been spending hours a day on mechmarket buying anything he likes that's available lmao
While aesthetically pleasing, this keyboard is so loud.
I’m not parting with my Logitech K800. Its design is dated, but it’s backlit and SO SILENT !
Wait til this dude finds out about silent switches
@@d-floe lol it’s ok, he saves a lot of money sticking with the Logitech
