The event horizon board looks so good. Really nice layout also, but a tad expensive
Yeah shame its expensive
Wheres the cork mat from?!😍
Novelkeys
And you make keyboards fun!
What desk do you have? It cool
Where link
anyone know what he did at 14:58 in order to make the keyboard sound "better"? did he take some gasket point off or did he switch to the PC top mount instead of the silicone?
do you guys know what that mat he uses?
it appears to be made of cork, but there is no information on it.
definitely his novelkeys affiliate one (he is a rep? for them?). they have cork deskmats on their website
What orange USB cable is that?
I think those switches are technically called JWK Kyubi I switches
hi, what is the keycap?
Waiting and hoping for the fawkuaa extras. I had the sandglass ergo and i loved the skele plate on that.Sold it as I didnt need the F row but didnt know the sandglass ergo 70% went for sale until it was over and now I only see the e-pink one for sale :(
I really don´t understand why an 8K polling rate is becoming a thing on some keebs and gaming mice. A 1K polling rate is more than good enough for anything, including gaming. An 8K polling rate just puts a lot more stress on the CPU without a difference that the human eye can see.
unless you end up in the top 1% Esport competitive gamers yeah 1k polling rate is all you need, you can notice a small improvement in your tracking and aiming with 2k and 4k but frankly it's just marketing BS for 99% of people.
there is a noticeable jump from 1 to 4k polling for mice, 4-8k is a little more debatable. polling rate above 1k is not going to make you better if you suck, but it definitely feels nicer. keyboards on the other hand seem totally pointless as there are considerably less inputs.
It's the same market as 360hz + monitors.
Edit: I didn't realize this board didn't have HE capable switches. Nobody is going to want 8k, and not also want HE (except for some geometry dash players who don't understand that HE is a feature that can be turned off), and vice versa.
Appreciate your mentioning that they'll probably let you keep the board, and the fact that you give most of the keyboards away.
Most YT reviewers will state "thoughts are my own, I've not been paid, company does not review or approve video, etc", but meanwhile they won't mention if they'll get to keep the item. If it's a $50 dollar item, that's one thing. If they get to keep an item worth a few hundo, that's different.
Yeah it’s important to mention regardless of value! I usually put disclaimers in my RUclips descriptions as well. But yes I do give most away as I personally have no need for hundreds of keyboards hahaha
Hi, can you tell where to find those tiny pads for keyboards?
No smile?
This is awesome.
But we need this to be catch balls and magnetic connector for the daughter board(s) if we get that on $100 keyboards.
Love the Keycap
Where can I get a keyboard mat like the one you use?
Keebmats makes felt ones and I’m pretty sure he’s in one way or another connected to them so it might be theirs but I’m not sure.
@@pinepibble you are sure. thanks.
what's with the bot comments lol
Sounds just like my 3.0!
Anyone know why he only uses his index finger on the right hand to type?
Crazy how thats what your focus on. Weird attempt to be rude.
@@alexotos I didn't say anything rude man, I didn't even make a statement. I simply asked a genuine question out of curiosity. After watching many keeb vids for sometime now I've noticed this typing style often enough to be a trend and its always the right hand that is index only. I've always wondered if there is a reason or advantage, especially since the other hand does use all 4 fingers, so it seems intentional. Besides there is never anything wrong with being different, so I don't know where your coming from. I get there is a lot of negativity on the internet in comments, but seems like you gotta let your guard down a little and relax.
Matrix makes fun of keyboards.
Matrix whenever they have to come up with a new kb name: *roll head on keyboard*
Also no solder PCB option on a >$600 keyboard with a very very lackluster layout support on the hotswap PCB is wild.
The weight's also so damn hard to read... They really didn't want to make a good looking keyboard this time around eh?
Jae from ProtoTypist have said several times in his streams, 80%-90% of keyboards sold in the last few years have been hotswaps. And hotswap socket designs have improved alot. It just makes sense for them to try and fulfil their biggest audience.
And if you don’t like the design, keep it to yourself, rather than crying out loud…
@@z4k1_zaki65 I wouldn't mind the lack of a solder PCB option if the hotswap PCB had a good layout support. Unfortunately all you can choose from are 6.25 and 7u spacebar (and no WK it seems?), stepped and full caps, and that's it. No split backspace, no split spacebar, no split right shift (bruh), no ISO...
I'm not even sorry for saying this: that PCB is a joke. For a $550 keyboard before taxes Matrix Labs have completely lost the plot. Again.
Agree.... however they keep putting those outregeous prices because people still buy them. Its a nice board but not for 600 USD
@@sgarridojr It's probably worth it. Matrix Labs have some of the best finishes among designer boards currently. Excellent coating, ano, machining, QC, you name it they have it. This at least they got in check. As for the rest...
@@sgarridojr I have designed custom boards and Matrix boards are justifiable due to the amount of CNC’d parts and levels of finishes. Matrix alway tries to push new and unique coatings with immaculate quality. Those badges alone are worth $35-50, each, for just the CNC time. Mirror polishing and PVD aint cheap either.
Agreed, not having at least 1 OG badge slot is definitely an oversight, unfortunately. If you don't have a badge collection though, this is a super nice board!
