- The Tomo by Monokei x TGR is in stock after completing it's GB and it's the first time I have gotten to look at it. And it's pretty solid! This was a client's board that they commissioned me to build up and I was overall impressed by the aesthetic and sound profile. I love when boards have dual mounting systems, even though we couldn't use it today due our stab choices.
Over all I was really happy with the Tomo. I admit, I initially dismissed this board since the style wasn't really 'me' when it first released (plus I was broke), but as time went on it really grew on me. In fact this made me really want to grab one for myself!

Alex, Just a small "THANK YOU!". I appreciate all of your content, advice and care you give to your community. I've said it before and I'll say it again, your positive interactions and responses is refreshing especially in a space that can be negative. I think your livestreams, candid convo about builds/reviews is tops among creator content (also appreciate your "life lessons" comments. Keep doing what your doing!

8:28 putting it that way sounds so much more fair. i was putting myself in the shoes of a content creator and i was like 'how would i go about asking for money, it seems unethical' - but after alex said this it made so much more sense. Alex has such a big brain :)

I love my tomo. Tried all sorts of configs and settled on no foam o ring alu plate. Ironically what I started out with.
@@BreathOfDust truest representation of the board’s sound without interference. Foam eliminates certain characteristics of the sound. Sometimes making it sound foamy even.
Sounds like you’ve tried a lot of configs on the Tomo! if you don’t mind me asking, what where your favourite sounding switches on the Tomo? I’ve got one on the way to me now and would love to get an idea of what switches I should try our first. Thanks in advance!

Hey Alex! What 65 or 75% would you recommend buying or waiting for, at a 300 usd budget?
Excluding shipping, the mode sonnet for $300 USD is something Alexotos enjoyed, and the turnaround is relatively fast at 3 months.

I have a Tomo, it is better or say advanced than TGR Jane imo, it is a TGR board too. I am so shock that those no brainers raffle Jane and ignore Tomo, that could be a classic example used in business school lol.

Tomo is a definitely good board. However I dont understand why its price is so expensive especially SE version. I would buy Sonnet with full copper configurations because the metal price makes me sense
The bottom backplate in the SE is polished stainless steel
@@muto4330 Yes. You're right. So I mentioned metal price. Sonnet's bottom case is totally made up of copper including internal weight.

Anyone happened to own both Tomo and Sonnet? May I ask which ones do you prefer in terms of sound and typing feel? Currently don't know which board should I pick for endgame :(

Sounds great, but imho there are better boards out there for better price. This one seems too sober too, despite the badge.
