Thanks again for the link to this video regarding the track pans that come with the fueling facility kit that I did not have! The tank that comes with the kit will come in handy too!
Good choice. I still think you could expand to the left the 22” even with just straight tracks. A little dead space for scenery and some tail track for the industry at the back. Have fun.
I've been following along and enjoy seeing the progress on your railroad. Here is one thought: instead of having a truck fill up your underground fuel tanks, why not put the filler pipe where you can park a tank car and use that for loading. It gives you another carload you can switch during an operating session. It can go something like this: engine comes out of the fuel pad, goes and pulls tank car from yard; places tank car on empty pad track where it will unload; engine goes about it's business switching the other cars in the yard; when it comes back, the tank car is empty and can be switched back into the yard. Just a thought.
It’s a good thought. I’m going to think about how I’d incorporate that switching into the op’s. I’m limited to 10 cars in the yard but there are places in the industry area where a tanker could sit. I love the ideas I’m getting from subscribers and viewers. Thanks for taking the time to comment and share your thoughts!
Great update, I like the new engine track! Good way to show off that expensive power we all buy. Also, I dig the b-roll clips you added in there while talking, made the video pop. 👍 If you get bored one day, feel free to do a review on the wooden kids layout I saw in the video, I plan on making one for my kid soon. Cheers! 👍
Thanks! Yeah I wanted to show the sanding and chiseling, so I’m glad that worked. I do have an interesting story about that Brio layout that I could do as a video. Our kids (young adults) are grown up and moved out, but I’m keeping that in hopes of grand kids someday if I’m fortunate. Good thought! Thanks for watching and for the comments.
Layout looks awesome just found your channel today, I really like your improvements on your engine facility, it gives me some ideas as I'm starting to plan mine out
Looking good, changing and updating is a lot of fun 👍🏻
It’s definitely fun…once you decide what you want to do. Sometimes the planning takes more time than the build! Thanks for watching!

Hi Paul, nice enhancement without massive amounts of work. Just wondering when you're going to do a video on your other layout (45 seconds in)? 😅
Thanks Lee. You must mean my kids’ brio layout. Keeping that in hopes of one day having grand kids ;)
