Hey guys! Sorry I have been so absent lately... As you know things have been a bit crazy with covid-19! However, hopefully now that I am at home practicing self-isolation, I will have more time to film + edit :) I hope you enjoy this IPAD video, if you want to purchase the paper-like screen protector I use here is the link: paperlike.com/studycollab1
Another tip for the eraser tool, hold the icon down, turn on "Auto-Deselect" and when you lift up the eraser it changes back to the writing tool instantly. It helps me a lot. Great video!
If a person is considering pre-med, his/her family is definitely not struggling financially, therefore there is surplus to buy an iPad. Bio-related (Organic Chem, Physiology, General Bio, etc...) fields generally require rote memorization. Other engineering fields, I'd imagine people prefer Jupyter notebook with Markdown and LaTex support.
If you do split screen, one of the PowerPoint and other your notes, you can just hold the images from lecture PowerPoint, and drag it to your notes! So much easier and quicker than your way!
I know right? I’ve only seen one youtuber (who wasn’t sponsored) say it’s not so good and a ton of good reviews that are sponsored, so it really makes me think if it’s a good product after all
after 4 years of completing my engineering in computer science. I feel like I could have done really good in medical science. All I needed was an ipad. ☺️😊
I was definitely a paper note taker but recently have been moving over to my iPad. With some of these videos I am really thinking of taking the full plunge into just digital note taking.
I really love your tip about drawing over diagrams! Personally I don't always like copying diagrams into my notes because the physical act of writing them out helps me remember the info more, but freehanding the designs themselves can be tedious. I never thought to do it like this and it's so helpful!
Thank you so much, I am a first year nursing student and I have found the iPad along with GoodNotes so much easier than carrying around paper and books. Good luck with your future studies. You have a new subscriber ☺️
Ok i tried to take pretty notes like a lot of videos here but i forgot im a mechanical engineering student. I hardly wrote words(?), if that makes sense. But then again, im glad i followed to make this sort of notes. I realized taking notes are important, useful, it doesn't matter if the end result isn't as pretty or as you hoped to be. In the end, you studied well and you organized your mind well. Thank you💙💙💙💙💙
this video is by far the best and most informative video about studying with your ipad/good notes! i‘m so excited to receive my ipad this wednesday and I‘ll definitely try out ALL of your tips! Thank you so much 💕🙏🏻
Your Video was SUPER helpful. I love tablets. I've been loyal to the Samsung tablets since 2015. However, I got curious and purchased an iPad Pro. This is the Best tablet ever and Good-notes 5 has made my experience even better. Thank you for your help.
thank toy so much, this really helped me wit my digital note taking journey, i am still a beginner but am finding it way more effective than paper notes
I have really gotten into digital notes because of the perks of erasing and moving things around plus saving paper. This video was so helpful because I actl bought GoodNotes 5 thanks to ur constant praise and wasn’t really getting the hang of organizing my digital notes so this was really helpful. I have to say tho I really regret buying the normal iPad over the iPad Pro because the one I have is the last gen of iPads that aren’t compatible with the Apple Pencil:(( I have an adonit stylus though which is a great stylus but doesn’t really work as well with the palm rejection
Thanks for the tips. I never thought about drawing over an image and then removing the image to keep my drawing but I'll definitely add that (and some of the other tips) to my bag of tricks. Thanks again for the great video
Great video - lots of great tips and you get to the point quickly. I did have to slowdown playback to grasp the demo on some of the last tips, as it moved a bit too fast for my brain, but I’d rather do that than sit through fluff. Great job.
Thank you for this video! It really helped me with organising my notes, as they used to look messy and cluttered. Can you do an iPad calligraphy video? I have tried many in the past but when I try out cursive writing it looks unstreamlined. Your channel has saved my life!
Thank you, This has been the most helpful video on this subject yet. Can you please advise the best way to get a contents page that will export to PDF correctly.
Hello, Great video! I do have a question or two. Do you use GoodNotes during class or afterward? Also, is it less time-consuming to write on GoodNotes or type? I just got an iPad and GoodNotes for school for the first time. Have a great day!
As much as Paperlike is the most used matte protector, it actually tore down the tip of Pencil (and I hardly even press on it). I don't recommend it. It happened in just a wonderful three weeks. It's also overpriced... I recommend ELECOM instead. It actually works pretty well and available in Amazon.
Great vid. I use GoodNotes too, wish they had a Shape Fill feature. Or even Selection Fill. When writing text, what point size do you use? It seems like the perfect balance of neatness but bold without being too bold, if that makes sense.
Hi! FYI I love watching your videos on the iPad about note taking! I do have a question... do you know of an app for the iPad Pro that could convert my own handwriting into “prettier” (lol) handwriting as I am writing? I have goodnotes; however, I don’t like the look of my own handwriting. So I am looking for an app or a way to convert my own when I write with an Apple Pencil into either calligraphy or another cute font, if that makes sense! I thought I would ask you because you seem to be an expert! Thank you!
I MIGHT be getting an Ipad soon, so I'm watching all sorts of videos on it... but I also might NOT... let's just hope I'm not getting excited for nothing :')! Also, great video!!!!
Dear you are so great and I am going to buy new iPad Pro ! Just need to understand how you capture the screen same time when you are drawing! Please guide me thank you 🙏
You can go into control centre settings and click on “screen record”. Then when you drag the control centre down it should be an option to record the screen. It looks like a circle ⭕️ !
studycollab: alicia thank you so much 😊! So sweet of you ! I got emotional to see you replied very quickly! Thanks god you are not in Taiwan 🇹🇼 otherwise I surely purpose you !! By the thank you again
Alicia, just found your video. I'm an IT professional of 30+ years and wow your video really showed me some amazing new ways to utilize the iPad. I saw you have the 11 inch. Any preference over the 11 or 12? I'm starting a new online course tomorrow and will definitely use the iPad for my notes. All the best !!?
Hello U am new to GoodNotes. I have seen alot if people use it. U am starting school this year and wanted to know that pretty handwriting on the top how do u get that template or is it a template?
I have Notability and Goodnotes and prefer Goodnotes to writing on so much more don't know why but my writing is way better. I use Notability for my lectures and organise them in there which works for me better
Awesome notes, but taking notes slowly will take almost triple time to complete single topic .How do you manage time or how do you maintain good handwriting while writing in speed ? Can you make a video on it plz ?
Regarding note taking in good notes5 /notability I have a doubt. Major updation like adding points ( handwritten & text) between handwritten notes in later days & adding pages
I'm really interested in getting a paper-like screen protector! Have you noticed any wear on your apple pencil tip in the 6 months that you've used it? Keep up the good work!!
you can go into control centre in the system prefrences/settings app and customise the controls to add screen recording as one. Once you have changed that, when you drag down your control centre it should be an option to screen record.
Tasnia Ahmed yeah it looks like they have three pen options, but a few more styles that are more brush like would be great. I mean the entire app is for writing so needing that up sounds to me like a logical next upgrade 👍🏻
Sarah Poncelin de Raucourt yes the paperlike screen protectors do wear down your apple pencil faster so that’s why i purchased a tempered glass one. if you are wondering if it is uncomfortable/too slippery of a surface to write on, i would say it’s definitely made it a bit harder but i have a pencil sleeve so i have a better grip on my pencil and honestly i don’t mind the cons of having a glass protector! it keeps your ipad’s retina display the way it is so the screen isn’t blurry at all, it doesn’t wear down your tip as fast, it protects your ipad better, and if u accidentally scratch it with ur fingernail, it’s not the end of the world!!
There is not a I noticeable difference between paper like and a normal matte screen protector from Amazon,I got a pack of 3 for my iPad 8th gen for 6.99,

studycollab: alicia hi! is this goodnotes 5 or 4 or a different version bc i was thinking of buying goodnotes but i want to know what version this is.
@Selly RANGEL-ALMEIDA 2018 :)
Do you have to pay for the new version when it comes out?💗
@@melisad6781 don't think so!
studycollab: alicia thank you💗
Another tip for the eraser tool, hold the icon down, turn on "Auto-Deselect" and when you lift up the eraser it changes back to the writing tool instantly. It helps me a lot. Great video!
Oh wow! Thank you so much 🤩
Please help to know about the ipad pro bend issues
does the aluminium really bend after long usage ???
Thank you so much! This will help a lot.
Why is every note taking youtube channel is medical related student
Because it is so helpful for them :)
If a person is considering pre-med, his/her family is definitely not struggling financially, therefore there is surplus to buy an iPad.
Bio-related (Organic Chem, Physiology, General Bio, etc...) fields generally require rote memorization. Other engineering fields, I'd imagine people prefer Jupyter notebook with Markdown and LaTex support.
and they were sponsored by paperlike screenprotector :))
Lots of content!
Calvin Feng incorrect. Pre-med from a trailer park. I have to pay for everything myself.
If you do split screen, one of the PowerPoint and other your notes, you can just hold the images from lecture PowerPoint, and drag it to your notes! So much easier and quicker than your way!
Thanks queen
Paper like literally has sponsored every RUclips video that has to do with an iPad
Hahaha they are so good tho!
Yeaaaaaaah brooo it is noticeable, isn’t it 😂😂😂?
Helicopter1kobe0 i notoced this too😂😂

I know right? I’ve only seen one youtuber (who wasn’t sponsored) say it’s not so good and a ton of good reviews that are sponsored, so it really makes me think if it’s a good product after all

I agree! This tip is game changer
Thank you so much, I am a first year nursing student and I have found the iPad along with GoodNotes so much easier than carrying around paper and books. Good luck with your future studies. You have a new subscriber ☺️
It’s really helpful for me because I speak french as a first language and I came in US so note like that perfect
Ok i tried to take pretty notes like a lot of videos here but i forgot im a mechanical engineering student. I hardly wrote words(?), if that makes sense. Your notes are like comics book. You can sell them after finishing studies. So nicely done. Keep it up!
this video is by far the best and most informative video about studying with your ipad/good notes! i‘m so excited to receive my ipad this wednesday and I‘ll definitely try out ALL of your tips! Thank you so much 💕🙏🏻
If I can take notes like that, I will definitely want to study more. That explains why I have no motivation to read my notes when I was a student :)
well said.
same here.
I love all your videos!! Ur notes are soo neat and you have helped me sooo much by showing me how to be organised and how to effectively study.
How to do with table and how to do hand-written images are so awesome tips! Will try it on my notes as well. Appreciated it.
Hey. I do not speak English very well, but I consider you the best bloggers to study with me💗
I'm just getting into learning to take digital notes and this as been super helpful! thanks for all the great tips!
Best video yet! I am an Architect and I love this app and iPad Pro! Thank you for the tips!
That was so beautiful and artistic. It defiantly helps.. not only for studying but any type of note taking. Thank you!
I loved this video. I love how you did your graphics. It looks so professional and neat. Good job!

Your notes are goals.

FANTASTIC!!!! I am going back to school and this was very helpful!
Amazing video! It’s so aesthetically pleasing😍 can I do this on the iPad air too?
I have really gotten into digital notes because of the perks of erasing and moving things around plus saving paper. Besides your notes.. your accent is so cute!
Great job Alicia!

U don’t need to tap the flat side btw. U can double tap anywhere
the pencil to eraser tip works on all apps :)
Yay!! I looooooove this channel ! 💞💞💞this video is really nice!! 💓
Thank you :)

Yay! I am fan of your work. 🤗👍🏼 I like your digital note taking notes
Thank you!
I’m such a fan as well! Do you have a monthly planner spread that you use on your iPad or want one?
I love these tips, thank you so much. Your videos have really helped me develop my digital skills. Keep up the good work.
I use MetaMoji Note Lite and it has features like goodnotes only
Thanks a lot for your presentation !!!

In physiology of thyroid- the thyroid hormone is "CALCITONIN".
Your videos are awesome 👍
Going into college in a couple months. I have a Mac but I seen a lot of iPad note taking and it seems 10x easier. Does this work on a mini iPad?
Thank you for the tips!!!
Love these vids so much I made my own study channel too💕
GREAT VIDEO!!!
So u really write on ur iPad with the keyboard still attached.
Glad I'm not the only one who was bothered by this.
@Deeraj Rajput lol no clue how this happend. Gonna delete the second one
Your hand writing is very nice.
thank you for your useful tips
Thx for your video 😘 you explain good
Awesome notes, but taking notes slowly will take almost triple time to complete single topic .How do you manage time or how do you maintain good handwriting while writing in speed ? Can you make a video on it plz ?
Pretty sure you should just practice your handwriting. I promise you I have and its gotten better

Major updation like adding points ( handwritten & text) between handwritten notes in later days & adding pages

Question; how do you edit your videos? I really like your style!
i use final cut pro!
I'm really interested in getting a paper-like screen protector! Have you noticed any wear on your apple pencil tip in the 6 months that you've used it? Keep up the good work!!
my Apple Pencil tip still works great!
I quite like these videos
Hi there. How do you get the screencast of your iPad? Do you use quick time on the Mac for that or something else? Thx!
you can go into control centre in the system prefrences/settings app and customise the controls to add screen recording as one. Once you have changed that, when you drag down your control centre it should be an option to screen record.
studycollab: alicia thanks!
Thank you! I love my iPadPro and iPencil even more now :-)
But actually I think the paper like protector might decrease the clarity of the screen
Jason Chan it does but so much better than writing on glass
It does a little, but the feeling is worth it I’d say
Thank you 😊
Question. Is there different pens/brushes to write stuff out like in Adobe Illustrator?
Tasnia Ahmed yeah it looks like they have three pen options, but a few more styles that are more brush like would be great. I mean the entire app is for writing so needing that up sounds to me like a logical next upgrade 👍🏻
You are amazing thank you!
this was helpful!
does the screen protector frays the Apple Pencil or not ? And I just discovered your channel, and I love it, so thanks a lot :*
