After listening to this story I called a relative I haven't talked to in years due to a grudge we held against each other over something dumb that happened in the past. Long story short, after talking we're on good terms again. I just want to say thank you for posting this video because it made me realize how short life is and sometimes forgiveness is necessary to move on, grow and make things better in life.
I once get very angry with a teacher, mostly out of frustration, during an oral test with him that went very bad. It was during a two-years period in my studies, when i had to work very hard constantly, to prepare final exams that would determine a large part of my future. I often sunk into despair, and that moment was one of the worst. My final oral test before the exam was with him again. I decided not to think about the last time and give it my best shot. It went reasonably well. After we finished, as exams would come a few weeks after, he took times to give us advice, and wish us good luck. I listened and thank him. We somehow reconciled that day. I think it lightened my heart quite a bit for the challenge to come. I passed my exams and laters graduated with no regrets and only satisfaction for my studies. And i'm grateful to every teacher that has been there for me, and wanted the best for me, even though they wouldn't show it at first glance. I learnt on that occasion that reconciliation, wether it is with a lost friend, or just some guy you quarelled with for idiotics matters, is a very beautiful thing.

Forgiving yourself and others is a way to love yourself. Realize that people rationalize their behaviour based on past programming. They did what they thought was right with the information they have received in life so far, you are different. By forgiving you are also doing it for yourself as it is you who are carrying the negative emotional baggage of not forgiving, NOT THEM.
I believe the story speaks for itself in what we mean to one another. How we have challenged eachothers growth in every lifetime..thank you for giving me my space and loving me anyway.
“When you forgive, you love...and when you love, god’s light shines down upon you” Now you don’t have to believe in any kind of god or religion to see that it basically means that the peace of the world enters your existence as you begin to forgive.

We have the power to change our identity and our reality in an instant, just by deciding what we now are. If we were living under a certain belief system or living within certain behaviors, and other people identified us or defined us by them, it is NOT PERMANENT! We can break free of all of these definitions and boundaries whenever we choose to and people will see us differently as soon as we decide to be different!

Most people forget such lessons when they are tested. Mostly failed by slaying others and few pass by letting bad deeds go. In reality Religions , ethnicities, nations & clans... we are divided in proving who's has more ego in proving others wrong and we are right. Humans don't hesitate for their rightful cause which may be wrong for someone. Think!

Usually the people that preach forgiveness are the ones that do evil and transgress on others. They preach it so as to avoid receiving revenge. Seldom is there a noble man that has the character trait of forgiveness.
I actually understand something else from the story, that even if you have to kill someone or hate him , spending time with him can teach you the greatest, your worst enemy can become your teacher

The flip side of forgetting is that, you can't do anything to make you forget. Any thing you do will work in contrary.
