Definitely, 100 percent. I can only imagine how AD will feel when she watches it, with that "Am I deeply in love? No". Because even I as a viewer was a bit hit by that. And it is coming from a guy that was praising AD to the point of vomit, and kept saying 'I love you.' And the bit about finances - did he ask her about it and she was secretive/vague or what? I dont think he even did ask, that was just making up excuses. Then he was still leading her on portraying like he is invested emotionally but just process is too rushed. He was not invested emotionally and maybe the fact that he stayed outside of apartment, kept working long hours etc. was because he could not be bothered. This guy was trying to find himself in this whole experiment since day one and could not, kept being lost. I think they kept them to the last episode only to not have only one couple at the altar beause that would be unprecedented and just bad for the show. But Clay should have laid out all of that clearly before the wedding day. Just sad for AD.

I'm sorry if I'm psychoanalysising but just going off what we've seen: It seems to me like he's conflicted about his feelings towards his dad. He loves his dad, wants to be like him yet he also recognises how much he hurt his mum. And Clay loves his mum. Clay's dad also doesn't seem like he was/is emotionally present in Clay's life judging by the superficial conversation they had and Clay saying that was the most his dad ever poured into him. It was nothing but corny motivational talk sprinkled with some narcissism. I think Clay would benefit greatly from therapy. I feel like he harbours some resentment towards his dad but it's shadowed by his need for acceptance from him. I think he'd make a great partner but he needs to work through his trauma and stop idolising black men who cheat on their wives.

The thing I ABSOLUTELY loved in the whole AD and Clay's wedding was the way AD's girls had her back. She didn't have to say a word, she just looked their way and they immediately got up and had her. That was honestly really touching to watch and I was super glad for her in that aspect.

i actually cried at Amy’s wedding bc it was so beautiful to see how both families are so supportive and how they came together, and her autistic brother that she always talks about… made me very emotional, and the fact that there was no toxicity, and i thing the lack of toxicity is what mase it “uninteresting” for you bc there’s no drama about their relationship and that’s probably why you didnt like it since most people’s brains nowadays are conditioned to find toxicity entertaining😭 but yeah to me it was a beautiful moment

I thought we saw them enough - they just weren’t interesting. I personally watch for the drama - after 6 seasons, if you think people are going on that show for love - that’s crazy, if they find it, fine. It’s okay to like the drama.
Clay was trying to get off easy telling that AD he would cheat. The fact that he waited til the last SECOND to break up tells me he did not want to be the bad guy.

Following the new episode i need someone to do a comparison between Clay and Johnny before the wedding when they were describing why they were marrying AD and Amy. The difference is so stark. All Clay cares about is what she can do for him. To support him. He wants a caregiver. Yet the way Johnny speaks about Amy are things that make her who she is. Her personality and qualities.
Also love tht clay destroyed AD’s heart on tv then asked HER for a hug to make HIM feel better for what he did 🙄🙄🙄
The real drama & heartache for me was watching Clay’s mother. There’s something about that woman that I like. It hurt watching her speak to her ex ex husband. You could see it still hurt her, like she knew she was a solid woman but it wasn’t enough for him to treat her well!💔😭😭
I was very much caught off guard with Clay's no, not because of how everything went down but from this episode: the tone of all his speeches just before, the way he spoke about how she made him feel, also how hopeful he seemed while talking - everything was sooo misleading! even netflix threw me off with the "positive" background music while he spoke, I was soo chill and so not expecting that outcome...

in Clay's apology i wish he said 'i'm not going anywhere. I'm going to fight for you like you have for me. and I'm going to do work and fight for this relationship and you' but he didn't and that was sooooo disappointing

idk if it's because I am also latina, a weeb, AND in an interracial relationship but I LOVED Amy & Johnny's wedding. We only got like 15 minutes of it but i felt SO emotional watching it.
Amy's dad expressing how much he loved his daughter, Johnny's sister being so happy, Amy's brother also walking Amy down and expressing his love for his sister, Johnny's brother hugging Amy's brother, all of those moments were so heartwarming to watch!
I get that we the audience wants drama and we love the drama but I think not enough people are appreciating this lovely couple and it could be because the edit wasn't on their side and just didnt show us enough of them.

I gave my reasons as to why I loved them but I can see why others may have not felt much for them because of the edit.
I think more people go on this show for publicity than even the viewers would like to admit. Johnny and Amy were a lovely exception.

I saw a clip another youtuber posted of all of chelsea and jimmy fights. They rolled the clip of jimmy saying he does like going out in the pods and wants any oppurtunity to go out with his S/O and chelsea AGREED. She clamined shed love that and loved the idea. Home girl straight up lied in the pods and tried to throw it back at Jimmy 😅. Bullet dodged.

The fact that Chelsea said something along the lines of “I knew this was going to happen” proves to me she was self sabotaging.
She was the most annoying person ever man. I didn’t like jimmy in the beginning but by the end, man I felt bad for him. She was sooo whiny and manipulative. Just completely self destructive.
I knew Chelsea and Jimmy wouldn’t make the alter 🤣. His level of patience was already amazing.

I like what you pointed out about Clay's dad saying that all Clay needs is to find a good woman like his mom. And mom having to point out, being presented with a good woman doesn't mean a man will become a good husband. How is it that this man can even fix his mouth to say something so simple? How old are you sir? Didn't you walk that same 24 year journey with Clay's mom? You know what it really was, be honest with yourself, with her, with your son. It's hard for the "kids" to do well, when parents, even in their advanced age, still speak in platitudes and other empty fairy tale words about what good love and marriage looks like and feels like.

I actually appreciate jimmy not wanting to embarrass chelsea bcz like all other seasons, he 100 percent could 😅 and for not taking it to the alter for more screen time like Clay.. bcz no one can convince me Clay didn't know he would say no ages ago..

Idc ..i know it was boring but amy and jonny's wedding day was one of the best /sweetest I've watched on this show..like her parents reaction to her in her dress,her dad telling jonny's sister "we love you and we have an other daughter now ".. both families being so emotional and supportive.. the little interaction between amy and her brother( made me cry 😢),the mention of the late grandparents..
Amy and jonny literally embody the love is blind concept moe than any other LIB married couple.. bcz amy openly says she would have never dated a "jonny" and jonny aswell openly admits that he would have never approached her in real life bcz he thinks she's way out of his league ❤

It wasn't even letting it get to the altar that was annoying, since that man loves attention and cameras I knew it would happen. It was the unprompted gassing everyone up and overcompensating for not being ready. He kept implying to anyone he came in contact with that he was at peace and was ready but just a little nervous. Then he had his convo with his dad and they were both spitting out word salad, but not talking about what really mattered to Clay. Then boom gassed her up at the alter, not even remotely sombre until the rejection hit. What's wrong with him? Why couldn't he just do a jimmy, so they could actually have a last nice date, have an honest conversation for once and end it. Instead of telling the cameras what he should have brought up with AD and his dad. He was way too comfortable being self-absorbed and disrespectful. I still can't get over how he managed to make her tears and sadness all about him in the end.
The way Amy and Johny's families love and meshed....lovely, no notes.

Thought he would have some closure with his dad, about the past and how that affected him, but nope, just chatting nonsense.
you’re so right about the aisle thing!! my man ALWAYS reaches for my hand when we’re walking down stairs together, even if i’m in sneakers. it’s the principle of supporting and guiding your partner whenever you can and clay isn’t ready to do that

Ugghhh. AD is not focusing on the right things. His looks, his money, that’s nice but the character has to be there. And Clay is just word salad to me. He talks and talks and talks and talks.? My guy! Ughhh. The character wasn’t there. The maturity was not there.
I was honestly tired by what AD was saying after about her not being enough, she tried her best, she wants it to be her turn. I think she deserves all of the happiness and to be chosen of course, but Clay was constantly saying things that show he wasn’t ready for marriage and in my opinion only spoke about the things he liked that she did for him. And he clearly knew he wasn’t ready, said he needs therapy BUT continued to speak about marrying her. Like it’s good that he is aware he needs work but to play in her face like that to just reject her at the altar and expect her to be ok and continue with him? No. She even TOLD him that if it’s a No at the wedding then she’s done. She told him.

I love AD, but I can't help but feel like she willingly ignored everything. Like Clay didn't even surprise me. I felt like AD never showed us much substance, with all the 'period, oclayyyy, bodyyy' and all the Twitter vocabulary, I would have actually loved to see her display this "strong woman" that she calls herself -- all I saw was someone desperately wanting it to be her time. It will come though, she needs to speak up more and inquire! More conversation and vulnerability from her could have prevented this. I also believe Clay already cheated.
Finding out that you have a bachelors in psychology makes me appreciate your takes on this mess even more
Clay's mom is beautiful! That salt and pepper pixie cut! 😍 His parents were the stars of this episode. You can tell his mom was hurt finding out what Clay has been carrying all these years.
AD & Clay need to do some inner work & they'll be okay. AD def deserves someone else.
