it’s funny that mario wasn’t even first place in the first marathon 25:12 it was a bird who was in front of him (he’s also at 25:08) and the tornados give you a boost if you press left soon enough

I would have preferred if these events (besides 100m obviously) were made for the 2020 events, and their controls and whatnot would be the same (like the long jump angle, the grid based shooting, the long side-scrolling marathon race, etc.) except they would just be made 3D.
All Mario character sprites are from the Original Super Mario Bros on the NES. Sonic and Dr. Eggman’s sprites are from Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis. Tails uses his sprites from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Sega Genesis. And Knuckles uses his sprites from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on the Sega Genesis.
