Sorry for not overtaking immediately in the beginning of the lap because I had no idea you were on your first lap ever in the Emira so I stayed behind expecting you to be much faster than me. I waited a bit after Breidscheid to let you pass because of the fast straights and film a bit for my channel as well trying to keep up with the Emira since I’m a Lotus fan boy… so after the carrousel it was time to move out of the way! Thank you for being so nice in the queue and I regret to not go for a second lap like you asked if I was going! Really nice to meet you! “Cheeeeers”

I really enjoy watching you behind a steering wheel, Tim. Your enthusiasm, technique, and description regarding everything automotive you do is inspiring
The emira is like 60% weight on the back and that part of the track makes the back go light, so yeah, you always have to expect the car to go sideways on the jump because most likely you are still going left.
I remember when Shmee started driving his cars on nurburgring many years ago, he wasnt quick and not so brave, this save makes me so happy because he is finding limit of his cars :)
He definitely isn't finding the limits of the cars, nor was it a "save", but he is improving slowly. He is doing his best and having fun, that's all that matters. Sometimes when you have no talent it can easily become more scary than fun. Just stay safe and practice, practice, practice and you are sure to get better.
There was nothing to save. Glad he didn't panic and do the wrong thing though. If he would have come off the road it would have been due to his incorrect input, doing nothing would have also "saved it".
This was probably one of your best videos on the Nurburgring, just watching you fight with other people, changing gears, and everyting was certainly more entertaining than for example your Shelby GT500 video, wich was soo good too, but you get the point. Nice one shmee, you drove like a beast!
The supercharger sound in this is perfect. Not massively in your face and distracting but you know it's there. I bet it sounds ever better in person screaming away behind your head.
hey shmee, that bmw in front of you also having fun its a Portuguese youtuber called AndreGarage, its one of the only good and enthusiastic car RUclipsrs in Portugal and it was amazing to see both of you on the track at the same time not knowing each other, just shows how cool the green hell really is
It looked like a workout and great fun as a drivers car/experience. As a RUclips passenger what amazed me was how composed the GT500 seemed by comparison at much higher speeds. Is it just my imagination or did it seem faster and more confidence inspiring?

Great video! Even though you said it was a lot more work, the expression on your face looked like you were having an absolute blast. For a stone stock sports car, it looked very composed out there, and you were clearly not babying it. Sounded great, but my ear kept wanting to hear another 200-400 rpm at the top end. What a great car. Got one on order. Really looking forward to it!
Thoroughly enjoyed this one….driving the Emira around the ring looks like a challenge of skill and mindset and knowing yours and the cars limits. Much more enjoyable to watch than perhaps one of the much more powerful beasts.

Well done pushing it over the jump! Despite the scare, it looked like the car handled it fairly easily, even if it was a bit of a brown-pants moment haha. Always fantastic to see cars like this driven as they were engineered to do, I have tremendous respect for collectors that really use their cars as opposed to keeping delivery miles.
I love it dude, to be taking your cars on the Ring. And not driving them like most, never passing 180kph in 500 bhp cars ffs. Youre the definition of a carguy and a great rolemodel as a person for youngers watching you. cheers man
On a race day the Emira will be one of the most rewarding experiences. Making that perfect shift and hitting that corner perfectly is everything Lotus is about. It is very hard to do with traffic. You did an amazing job, Tim. 👏
I just bought a 2021 GT500 with the CFTP. I was shopping the Emira and talked with a Lotus rep about a deposit. I think I made the right call. The Mustang is STUPID fast and handles so well.
Schmee150, great video! Excellent job bringing us along with you during this inaugural Emira Ring experience. Camera angles are just right while your commentary adds layers to what we are watching and processing. As for the GT4, it may have had less to do with the Emira’s capabilities and more to do with the other driver’s experience with their car on track and willingness to take more chances.
Great video, love the Emira and the comment about the increased awareness needed when driving slower cars. Reminds me of the increased stress driving on motorways at 70mph instead of cruising on autobahns at 120 mph
That was one hell of a moment! I can imagine if you were a little bit faster and the car was in the air more while you were cornering there, it would have spun the car and you would've probably hit the wall.

yes the emira at the green hell, one thing that shmee has to to do with a broken in car, take it to the green hell, not the fastest, but the most fun. second lap, always full send, the emira would compete very well with the cayman, but the emira has got one thing going for it, the sound of the supercharger, take that gt4, no hate to the gt4 still an awesome car. Epic race against it. A car that would get back on the same day after the track day
That moment on the second lap, you could see the brief moment of fear in Tim's face. Also nice to see I'm not the only one that thought that French E36 should have let you past. I was actually a little worried that he was possibly trying to push it a little too much and he'd lose it in one of the corners.

The emira looks like a blast perhaps it is a true lotus after all its still to heavy imo but everything else is right and the super charger sound is awsome
Hey Tim, you need to remember the dip in that track. It's the one that you hit your chest a few times after you dipped down into it. You could hurt yourself and that Lotus in the event you don't remember where it is. I could imagine you were somewhat scared that happened to you. Please use care on that track.
