When this album was new, I stumbled across it in my local record store. I had never heard of them before, but based on the album art, band name, and picture / credits of the band on the back cover (long hair, dual guitars, no keyboards...), I bought it. Fan for life!
Love this song, also check out Out of the Silent Planet, very underrated. Btw if you wanna check out Blaze's era which I think is really underrated, see Sign of the Cross, Virus, Judgement of Heaven, Futureal, and The Clansman.
Iron Maiden's best album by a country mile. Iron Maiden is a superb album too. So many classics on this one, under the radar track - Twilight Zone - love it. Always preferred Di'Anno to Dickinson - I find the latter to be technically competent but a bit sterile. Di'Anno's style was much harder edged. Love the entire first two albums tbh, Di'Anno gets to show his range nicely. Also check out - Burning Ambition - an oft forgotten B Side featuring Di'Anno which is like an homage to Rush - superb track. I've got to be honest, for me, Maiden regressed big time once Di'Anno and Clive Burr (Drummer) left. They made some great stuff but it was buried in a sea of shite.
Blaze Bayley era? Gotta do The Edge of Darkness (from The X Factor) - I almost can't imagine this as a Bruce song - so suited for Blaze. Di'anno was a good singer, just didn't fit with the band.

Killers, Prodigal Son, and Purgatory are my favorite songs from that album, but the whole album is very good in my opinion.
Murders in the rue morgue
Speechless for a moment, at the end, is a solid response.

Great album 👌👌
My second fave Maiden album, it's awesome. Thanks for the reaction.

Di Anno didn't fit?? They are got famos with him as a singer.. also for me he is the best maiden singer.
@@shomystilllazy Fair point, and his voice was good, just seems to me that Bruce fit better. Why did Paul leave?
@@palladinodessa8988 didn't they kick him out of the band?
