Growing up in the 80s, my dad HATED my music. But one day while raking leaves or something, I was listening to this cassette, my dad walked by, stopped, listened, and nodded his approval at me. This is a highlight of my childhood.

I was 13 or 14 and reading Dune when I heard this for the first time. I bought Piece of Mind and got to this last track, when I recognized some names and words and was like, damn, this about Dune! Grabbed my cassette multifold cover booklet and read the tiny ass lyrics. I always loved this album so much. This was my start with Maiden other than hearing Run to the Hills on the radio. Started working my way back and continued to follow them from there. Up the Irons! 🤘
Let's just get the record straight... IRON MAIDEN HAS NO BAD SONGS! Always nice to hear a song I haven't heard in a long time. I'm gonna have to jump back into 'Piece of Mind' again, it's been too long old fiend...lol Thanks for the cruise through the way-back machine T! I'm gonna get those requests in there soon, I promise! Haha.😶

As much as reactors love Maiden, one thing they all almost always seem to miss is Harris and his Bass. And, it makes no sense since it is SO IN YOUR FACE!!!
Iron Maiden introduced me to many books, movies, shows that I would have probably never found out about. My favorite show they introduced me too was a 1960's series called 'The Prisoner', and a great old school sci-fi flick called 'Village Of The Damned' and 'Children Of The Damned' both from their 'Number Of The Beast' album.
Really? On subject content or musically? Its my least favorite on the album but I like Quest for Fire but and I know a lot of people dislike that song.
Not a single track from Piece is a filler or deserves less attention than the rest. This album is pure Genius on every aspect: music, lyrics, subjects, atmospheres.
BTW, that’s Eddie chained up in the cell on the cover. He’s the band’s mascot who’s been on every cover since 1980 & also plays a big part in their stage production. Nearly as much a legend as the band itself 🤠
Maiden is its own language. The way he spits those lines in the first few verses is one of the best things I've ever heard, it's singing yet rapping....freaking sick
