Very talented people reusing materials that would end in land fill in west. Whenever i use big hammer on metal i use lump of wood to protect the metal.
I'd never hit the end of any shaft with a hammer. A great way to disform the end and never get a pulley back on. They do such great work I'm surprised they don't place a block of wood on the end of the shift. Then smack it. Bearings got no love too!
Not to mention that the bearings weren't replaced. I mean in one way they are awesome and in another, lacking in basic engineering skills. I'm wondering how long their rebuild will run for?

Low temp solder is not okay, motors get hot and the solder melts. No varnish on the winding, the winding vibrates at frequency and moves from magnetic force, it will fail much faster not flipped. I guess they work with what they have ?
