I have this opposition. On the one hand, I'm glad because if I hadn't fought as a child, I wouldn't be here now. It helped me a lot when I started deeply working on myself and started studying psychology. I am a psychologist now and helping people build stability and confidence in themselves as I helped myself. Everything that has happened to us can move and strengthen us if we want to learn and develop respect and love for ourselves, for other people, and for nature. 💗 Thank you, Jewel, for the amazing videos. This is where the problems come from in my self-expression and self-image. She was very critical and controlling. Yes. I feel that I have to constantly develop strength and have a problem with authority figures.
Dad was the same way. I have been very demeaning and condescending towards him, now that I am an adult. Treat me nice, then I will do the same. If not, then I will go out of my way to destroy someone's life. My anger and temper, no one would want to see me angry. Don't be afraid to put abusive authority figures in their place and don't take nonsense from anyone.
I learned that learning self-respect and acknowledging your power will help you build good relationships and respect from authoritative figures. Always remember that the insecure are the ones that will feel threatened by your power and they will try to "thwart" it but don't fret, as this has nothing to do with you but them. @@manlyunicorns1999 how this placement work depends on the person and how their charts are playing around it. At the end of the day, it all boils down to how evolved the person is. People having this placements can either be wallowed by the "negativity" of this placement or learn from it and grow. How I see this placement is that it teaches you to own your power and learn to stand up for yourself when needed be. It is also a character builder. As someone who grew up with this placement, I have been thwarted to speak up my truth a couple of times and my younger and insecure self would refuse to defend myself and seether in anger silently. I was moved and inspired by this video of yours. So much soul felt which connected me to mine. I have this aspect. It shows up in every area of my life in one form or another. I have a youthful, fairy like appearance and disposition mixed with my calm, collected, grounded Taurus moon and so people do not assume that there are some very deeply disturbed caverns within me. That factor alone seems like one of crosses to bear in this lifetime. When I express my authentic feelings and boundaries to other people, even if gently, I either get a retaliation or I get abandoned, or the person doubles down, or becomes physically violent. I have been working on this inside of me since I finally left my husband 3 years ago and I feel like I don’t know what else to do on my own to really manage this and start to really own my own life, process repressed anger and even identify that it actually *is* anger. I don’t even know what anger actually truly feels like enough to identify it. It all just stays inside of me and it results in Illnesses, liver damage despite never being a drinker or drug user etc... it’s time for me to get help. I’m ready to integrate this force inside of me screaming to be loved, acknowledged, accepted and invited in healthfully to allow it to finally work on me and allow me to thrive in my own life. This is a lonely aspect. I’m not alone but I feel trapped inside of myself often and it’s very hard to explain. I want to really work on this. I don’t think I can manage the consequences of this aspect in my life anymore. I’m ready to turn crisis’ into inconveniences and start to feel *truly* proud of myself instead of waiting for someone else to do it.
@@asdff7279hi thanks for your comment. I only recently learned what that word was. I have been told by a few different people that I am what you said. When I was 4 in 1995 my doctor urged my mom to have me start testing for ADD & Asperger’s. My mom was in denial that I needed medical intervention or extra help & at that time in society I think she felt offended & embarrassed so she casted out that idea and decided she’d change my diet, believing that would change my behavior & development. I wasn’t a bad baby/toddler. I was just distant. And my elder sister by 3 years was, in comparison, a firecracker. Very unruly, devious, and sought out attention & stimulation. Of course I probably seemed socially reserved & emotionally, verbally & developmentally lacking compared to her which is what they did our entire upbringing - compare us. Also just after my birth my mom, sister & I were moved from California to Germany for the first couple years of my life since my dad was stationed there & was at war in Saudi Arabia during those critical developmental years. My mom was highly unfit. Could not keep the home clean, partied & left me with strangers, having affairs etc.. she was only 23 & dad was 33 so I see the issue there. She was just so emotionally volatile & inconsistent. I was very attached to her though & then she got arrested in front of me & sister when I was 5 & I did not see her again until I was 11 years old because she went to prison. All of this really cemented in the developmental issues I believe. I don’t think I have ASD but I know I have undiagnosed ADHD that seems to get worse, not better. I don’t typically & often share all this extra personal info but I just felt like today was a good day to share.
Wow. Just wow. Mars Libra (and rising), Saturn Aries. My whole life I’m either ASSERTIVE or completely placating. I went into law enforcement at 24, and it was so detrimental to my soul being in that career. Letter of the law all the way, because I had something to “prove.” I was the boss. I was over compensating because of the lack of power I felt as a child. Fortunately my Cancer Jupiter/MC kept my kindness intact, but my whole life has been repression. It rings true I suppose, both had harsh fathers, as did I, luckily he didn’t beat me but the emotional/mental blockages I acquired from those experiences are definitely points of difficulty for me. I guess Michael Jackson & David Goggins prove that you can overcome the adversity this aspect provides us (un)fortunate few with. David Goggins story especially gives me hope. As I grow older I like to think I grow wiser. I still have some anger & self acceptance issues but they’re nowhere near as bad as they were when I was younger. I also feel I don’t feel the inclination to prove myself to others as intensely as I did back then either. But if I’m being honest my Mars placement is one of the most afflicted planets in my chart & it’s not the easiest finding a balance between overexerting my will or getting stuck in ruts of complacency. Some other aspects for example; Mars square a Pluto/Jupiter conjunction. There’s actually a T-square between Mars, Saturn & Jupiter & Im still trying to figure how to use that energy dynamic as productively as possible.

I have the opposition with Saturn in the 4th and yes, my mother who’s Aquarius moon conjuncts my Saturn was tyrannical and cruel towards me so I learned to fall into the victim role. Being ignored by her or any other people who “mimick” her role is very invalidating but I’m working on relying on myself for validation vs through my work. It’s difficult to get out of the pattern of the very strict rules and standards I’ve set for myself as a result but I’m determined to do it.

My abusive step father has this in a grand square with Pluto opposite venus filling the cross opposition of the square. Your description of this ‘slice’ of his personality was spot on! My boyfriend has this aspect. His father is an alboholic and when he was in primary school his mother went to college and he would stay at the house with the father, who not only didn't provide him with food and emotional support, he would get drunk and pass out or get abusive. My boyfriend would find him passed out on the kitchen floor, he would call his mom crying saying he had nothing to eat and he was hungry, but there was no one there that would help him. His mother would just say she can't be there, because it's a 2 hour drive. He would sometimes have to lock himiself in his room to stop the angry father from entering it. He would get beaten up, aggresively thrown around and so forth. Now he's an adult, who's driven to have a more successful career and income than his father. He definitely gets combative with him, both literally and in terms of success and life achievements. His sun and moon are conjunct in sagittarius and they orbit the midheaven (moon is in 9th and sun in 10th house) He's very insecure and unable to recognize that his behavior is just a display of the insecurity, not a demonstration of strength. He thinks his worth is measured only by his possessions and that everyone who's ever wronged him is below him, because he's achieved so much (when in reality he's too young to even have achieved anything and all his possessions come from his parents, to his dismay) He's nearing a 12th house transit by pluto, so like, pray for him.

I have this in my chart it a t-sq with my moon and this is my experience i definitely was a victim of abuse from my brothers and my mother was emotionally abusive and explosive while my father wasnt really available he no longer talks to my brothers so its played out very literally for me . For a long time i felt i had to prove myself to the world, and now i accept all things. I don't tolerate toxic shit but i don't feel the anger that comes with the having no control over how others behave when its in my opinion abusive. I just refocus on me and change my thoughts to what makes me feel good. Not so much clashes with authority though??
I have this aspect, it's a five degree orb with Mars in libra and saturn in pisces, and I've watched this video probably four times now to try to juice every drop of wisdom from it. I didn't think I still had this problem until my last job. I've had a total of 13 different jobs in 7 years. It doesn't help that I have a star of David in my chart. Self control has always been the biggest struggle for me. I am slowly learning to overcome it.
I have this opposition in my natal chart and really thought about your description in regards to a lesbian women...As a gay sensitive guy with a lot of water energy, I sometimes switch between almost feeling like a woman in regards to seeking an alpha male to cope with my lack of authoritarianism, to suddenly wanting to replace that said authoritarian myself time to time.. I am more passive aggressive since my Mars is in cancer, but this makes me emotionally shut down and more internally explode rather than venting out my aggression externally...This disposition is very difficult to work with in harmony especially in regards to career. Jewel, I find it interesting how you said “men identify with Mars and women don’t”. I could be wrong but I personally find that hard Mars contacts in men can show up with more aggression than with women because of the way that they and society identifies them so strongly with Mars and martian things. Especially the egotistical side of Mars.

Thank you Jewel, this helped me realise things about myself and helped me make sense of my past. I have mars retrograde in sagittarius loosely opposite saturn (7 degrees) and I can relate to this video, but weirdly I think this energy used to be way stronger in me when I was young, and I don't feel like that as much now. I think having neptune trine saturn helps me a lot with having a more idealistic attitude to authority (and maybe venus loosely conjunct saturn helps too?? not sure if it works that way). Hello Jewel, I hope you will read this or other women with this aspect. I have an ever existing feeling of being less valuable than everyone else. A sense of shame of myself accompanies me for a long time, which gets triggered in some situations more than in others. I have a problem with men. I am hetero sexual but there is an underlying fear of men in me, a fear of masculine aggression and sexuality. When it is shown to me bluntly I freeze, I am in fear. I have the feeling that my boundaries are invaded and I am losing a connection to myself. I become complete slave to the "master" but I don't want it. I hate being submissive. Some men even asked me if I was abused or why I am so tense when I should actually enjoy the sexual tensions building up and attraction being shown towards me. I wasn't abused but I know that feeling still somehow... I lose control over myself but not in a good way, in a paralyzing way. This mechanism plays off repeatedly and I wonder if this has something to do with this aspect that I have in tight orb. (I also have Mars square Pluto in a wider orb). Maybe some other women can relate to this feeling, too and would like to share.. I do martial arts btw since I am a child. I love the feeling of defending myself with a weapon and attacking my oponent in an intelligent way, I feel powerful then.

Recently my ex husband abused me and so did his mother, he said I was worthless, he also hit me. He hated my voice, that I didn't bow my head but how can I. All my life it's been like this. I have this opposition. But I guess I have healed my wounds cause I tend to be dominant in other aspects that my husband doesn’t mind me to. In our early marriage we tend to be at war with each other because we love to dominate. But learning to communicate and Compromise is the key. I let him take charge in aspects that I let him to. I have this aspect (MARS in PISCES opposition to SATURN in VIRGO) - North Node also in Virgo. It's true that I never want to make anybody else feel uncomfortable. As a Pisces I am already naturally sensitive towards others but with this opposition. It's also true that in order for me to enjoy a day at the beach, I HAVE TO have exercises and eaten healthy before so that I can be WORTHY of being at the beach with no shirt on. Otherwise I don't feel deserving and uncomfortable.

Person is very Leonine cause as well Sun Mercury Ascendant conjunction. Because Ascendant and Saturn are in air signs - it feels very detached persona and kinda like not strongly or directly coming ahead with need of admiration and affection, but in a very covert and subtile way.
True! I have the Conjunction & though I do assume authority, the lessons have been with regard to humility. Having the placement in Pisces, perhaps it has been easier than in another Sign? Interesting and thank you. I have Saturn in Aries opposed with Mars. You are correct about the dominant parent. My mother in this case. This is where the problems come from in my self-expression and self-image. She was very critical and controlling. Yes. I feel that I have to constantly develop strength and have a problem with authority figures.
Dad was the same way. I have been very demeaning and condescending towards him, now that I am an adult. Treat me nice, then I will do the same. If not, then I will go out of my way to destroy someone's life. My anger and temper, no one would want to see me angry. Don't be afraid to put abusive authority figures in their place and don't take nonsense from anyone.
Also, push yourself to work on your self-esteem. Hard work is the key. Always remember that!
I learned that learning self-respect and acknowledging your power will help you build good relationships and respect from authoritative figures. Always remember that the insecure are the ones that will feel threatened by your power and they will try to "thwart" it but don't fret, as this has nothing to do with you but them. Fck uberly insecure people.

@@manlyunicorns1999 how this placement work depends on the person and how their charts are playing around it. At the end of the day, it all boils down to how evolved the person is. People having this placements can either be wallowed by the "negativity" of this placement or learn from it and grow. How I see this placement is that it teaches you to own your power and learn to stand up for yourself when needed be. It is also a character builder. As someone who grew up with this placement, I have been thwarted to speak up my truth a couple of times and my younger and insecure self would refuse to defend myself and seether in anger silently. I was moved and inspired by this video of yours. So much soul felt which connected me to mine.
I have this aspect. It shows up in every area of my life in one form or another. I have a youthful, fairy like appearance and disposition mixed with my calm, collected, grounded Taurus moon and so people do not assume that there are some very deeply disturbed caverns within me. That factor alone seems like one of crosses to bear in this lifetime. When I express my authentic feelings and boundaries to other people, even if gently, I either get a retaliation or I get abandoned, or the person doubles down, or becomes physically violent. I have been working on this inside of me since I finally left my husband 3 years ago and I feel like I don’t know what else to do on my own to really manage this and start to really own my own life, process repressed anger and even identify that it actually *is* anger. I don’t even know what anger actually truly feels like enough to identify it.
It all just stays inside of me and it results in Illnesses, liver damage despite never being a drinker or drug user etc...
it’s time for me to get help. I’m ready to integrate this force inside of me screaming to be loved, acknowledged, accepted and invited in healthfully to allow it to finally work on me and allow me to thrive in my own life.
This is a lonely aspect. I’m not alone but I feel trapped inside of myself often and it’s very hard to explain. I want to really work on this. I don’t think I can manage the consequences of this aspect in my life anymore. I’m ready to turn crisis’ into inconveniences and start to feel *truly* proud of myself instead of waiting for someone else to do it.

@@asdff7279hi thanks for your comment. I only recently learned what that word was. I have been told by a few different people that I am what you said. When I was 4 in 1995 my doctor urged my mom to have me start testing for ADD & Asperger’s. My mom was in denial that I needed medical intervention or extra help & at that time in society I think she felt offended & embarrassed so she casted out that idea and decided she’d change my diet, believing that would change my behavior & development.
I wasn’t a bad baby/toddler. I was just distant. And my elder sister by 3 years was, in comparison, a firecracker. Very unruly, devious, and sought out attention & stimulation. Of course I probably seemed socially reserved & emotionally, verbally & developmentally lacking compared to her which is what they did our entire upbringing - compare us.
Also just after my birth my mom, sister & I were moved from California to Germany for the first couple years of my life since my dad was stationed there & was at war in Saudi Arabia during those critical developmental years. My mom was highly unfit. Could not keep the home clean, partied & left me with strangers, having affairs etc.. she was only 23 & dad was 33 so I see the issue there.
She was just so emotionally volatile & inconsistent. I was very attached to her though & then she got arrested in front of me & sister when I was 5 & I did not see her again until I was 11 years old because she went to prison.
All of this really cemented in the developmental issues I believe.
I don’t think I have ASD but I know I have undiagnosed ADHD that seems to get worse, not better.
I don’t typically & often share all this extra personal info but I just felt like today was a good day to share.
Wow. Just wow. Mars Libra (and rising), Saturn Aries. My whole life I’m either ASSERTIVE or completely placating. I went into law enforcement at 24, and it was so detrimental to my soul being in that career. Letter of the law all the way, because I had something to “prove.” I was the boss. I was over compensating because of the lack of power I felt as a child. Fortunately my Cancer Jupiter/MC kept my kindness intact, but my whole life has been repression. I’m innately angry, and although it has soften as I’ve evolved, I know it’s still there.

Giving my all just to please them yet always hurting on inside cos I didn’t speak up. High anxiety levels constantly in fight or flight mode led to my epilepsy. Am 50 now & only recognising this.

It rings true I suppose, both had harsh fathers, as did I, luckily he didn’t beat me but the emotional/mental blockages I acquired from those experiences are definitely points of difficulty for me. I guess Michael Jackson & David Goggins prove that you can overcome the adversity this aspect provides us (un)fortunate few with. David Goggins story especially gives me hope.
As I grow older I like to think I grow wiser. I still have some anger & self acceptance issues but they’re nowhere near as bad as they were when I was younger. I also feel I don’t feel the inclination to prove myself to others as intensely as I did back then either. But if I’m being honest my Mars placement is one of the most afflicted planets in my chart & it’s not the easiest finding a balance between overexerting my will or getting stuck in ruts of complacency. Some other aspects for example; Mars square a Pluto/Jupiter conjunction. There’s actually a T-square between Mars, Saturn & Jupiter & Im still trying to figure how to use that energy dynamic as productively as possible.

I have the opposition with Saturn in the 4th and yes, my mother who’s Aquarius moon conjuncts my Saturn was tyrannical and cruel towards me so I learned to fall into the victim role. Being ignored by her or any other people who “mimick” her role is very invalidating but I’m working on relying on myself for validation vs through my work. It’s difficult to get out of the pattern of the very strict rules and standards I’ve set for myself as a result but I’m determined to do it.

I have this aspect and I hate it when I start to get the feeling that I have to prove something. My boyfriend has this aspect. His father is an alboholic and when he was in primary school his mother went to college and he would stay at the house with the father, who not only didn't provide him with food and emotional support, he would get drunk and pass out or get abusive. My boyfriend would find him passed out on the kitchen floor, he would call his mom crying saying he had nothing to eat and he was hungry, but there was no one there that would help him. His mother would just say she can't be there, because it's a 2 hour drive. He would sometimes have to lock himiself in his room to stop the angry father from entering it. He would get beaten up, aggresively thrown around and so forth.
Now he's an adult, who's driven to have a more successful career and income than his father. He definitely gets combative with him, both literally and in terms of success and life achievements. His sun and moon are conjunct in sagittarius and they orbit the midheaven (moon is in 9th and sun in 10th house)
He's very insecure and unable to recognize that his behavior is just a display of the insecurity, not a demonstration of strength. He thinks his worth is measured only by his possessions and that everyone who's ever wronged him is below him, because he's achieved so much (when in reality he's too young to even have achieved anything and all his possessions come from his parents, to his dismay)
He's nearing a 12th house transit by pluto, so like, pray for him.

Hello glad you're back i very much enjoy your videos. I have this in my chart it a t-sq with my moon and this is my experience i definitely was a victim of abuse from my brothers and my mother was emotionally abusive and explosive while my father wasnt really available he no longer talks to my brothers so its played out very literally for me . For a long time i felt i had to prove myself to the world, and now i accept all things. I don't tolerate toxic shit but i don't feel the anger that comes with the having no control over how others behave when its in my opinion abusive. I just refocus on me and change my thoughts to what makes me feel good. Not so much clashes with authority though??
I have this aspect, it's a five degree orb with Mars in libra and saturn in pisces, and I've watched this video probably four times now to try to juice every drop of wisdom from it. I didn't think I still had this problem until my last job. I've had a total of 13 different jobs in 7 years. It doesn't help that I have a star of David in my chart. Self control has always been the biggest struggle for me. I am slowly learning to overcome it.

I have this opposition in my natal chart and really thought about your description in regards to a lesbian women...As a gay sensitive guy with a lot of water energy, I sometimes switch between almost feeling like a woman in regards to seeking an alpha male to cope with my lack of authoritarianism, to suddenly wanting to replace that said authoritarian myself time to time.. I am more passive aggressive since my Mars is in cancer, but this makes me emotionally shut down and more internally explode rather than venting out my aggression externally...This disposition is very difficult to work with in harmony especially in regards to career.
Also I get very irritated with aspects of humiliation as you rightly said, and i find it an enormous challenge to accept or be ok with humiliation!.

Jewel, I find it interesting how you said “men identify with Mars and women don’t”. I could be wrong but I personally find that hard Mars contacts in men can show up with more aggression than with women because of the way that they and society identifies them so strongly with Mars and martian things. Especially the egotistical side of Mars.

I have mars retrograde in sagittarius loosely opposite saturn (7 degrees) and I can relate to this video, but weirdly I think this energy used to be way stronger in me when I was young, and I don't feel like that as much now. I think having neptune trine saturn helps me a lot with having a more idealistic attitude to authority (and maybe venus loosely conjunct saturn helps too?? not sure if it works that way). Hello Jewel, I hope you will read this or other women with this aspect. I have an ever existing feeling of being less valuable than everyone else. A sense of shame of myself accompanies me for a long time, which gets triggered in some situations more than in others. I have a problem with men. I am hetero sexual but there is an underlying fear of men in me, a fear of masculine aggression and sexuality. When it is shown to me bluntly I freeze, I am in fear. I have the feeling that my boundaries are invaded and I am losing a connection to myself. I become complete slave to the "master" but I don't want it. I hate being submissive. Some men even asked me if I was abused or why I am so tense when I should actually enjoy the sexual tensions building up and attraction being shown towards me. I wasn't abused but I know that feeling still somehow... I lose control over myself but not in a good way, in a paralyzing way.
This mechanism plays off repeatedly and I wonder if this has something to do with this aspect that I have in tight orb. (I also have Mars square Pluto in a wider orb). Maybe some other women can relate to this feeling, too and would like to share..
I do martial arts btw since I am a child. I love the feeling of defending myself with a weapon and attacking my oponent in an intelligent way, I feel powerful then.

The sum of my battles in this life time. Please do a moon opposite mercury natal, as i have that too, mixing in w/ this mars opp saturn in a grand cross. Deep inside I feel that this challenging aspects are seeds for, in the end, something great that you can impart to others for a greater good. Mars in 1st house, Sun in 5th house, Saturn in 8th house. sexual abuse and theft in my house(I was 15 years old), I had no reaction, I have lost l memory. Recently my ex
husband abused me and so did his mother, he said I was worthless, he also hit me. He hated my voice, that I didn't bow my head but how can I. All my life it's been like this. Sometimes I feel like I'm always surviving, I feel like I can't trust. When I do it, it hurts so much. I also have Pluto/Venus in the 4th house opposing the Moon. It is so difficult. I feel stupid, I just want to live. I don't want to survive the pain anymore. I am very afraid but I have fought so hard to get out of my depression and trauma. My mind broke when I was 15 years old.

How I am not able to fight, I spoke with power, I cannot control the damage. My son brought out strength in me that I didn't know I could have.

But they are also involved in a grand cross with gemini moon-mercury-venus in 3rd house, sag jupiter in 8th house. I have this opposition. But I guess I have healed my wounds cause I tend to be dominant in other aspects that my husband doesn’t mind me to. In our early marriage we tend to be at war with each other because we love to dominate. But learning to communicate and Compromise is the key. I let him take charge in aspects that I let him to. I have this aspect (MARS in PISCES opposition to SATURN in VIRGO) - North Node also in Virgo. It's true that I never want to make anybody else feel uncomfortable. As a Pisces I am already naturally sensitive towards others but with this opposition. It's also true that in order for me to enjoy a day at the beach, I HAVE TO have exercises and eaten healthy before so that I can be WORTHY of being at the beach with no shirt on. Otherwise I don't feel deserving and uncomfortable.

thank you for this amazing insight on Saturn Mars dynamics. I am trying to understand this opposition when Mars conjunct at the same time Venus and Jupiter in Leo. Person is very Leonine cause as well Sun Mercury Ascendant conjunction. Because Ascendant and Saturn are in air signs - it feels very detached persona and kinda like not strongly or directly coming ahead with need of admiration and affection, but in a very covert and subtile way.

I have this aspect. Saturn 7th house Aries & Moon 7th house Aries opposite Mars 1st house Libra. It's an interesting aspect - makes me need affection but also run away from it. Also a problem with being competitive in my relationships, needing to have the upper hand..
Saturn in the 7th is bad enough!

This totally describes me. Wow! Mars in Virgo in the 11th house opposes Saturn In Pisces the 5th house. Its quite a challenge

I wonder what it means if me and him have this aspect in our own natal charts, and this same aspect shows up in our composite chart too. Does it mean we can help each other with our own Mars Saturn problem too if we enter into a relationship tgt?
So they are opposite. What should i do if it's chronic. I mean that's what i don't get about astrology. If some things are predetermined what can i do if i can't fix it, just sit and cry with a cancerian soul?
