My older sister had the beat , I used to go in her room and listen to it when she wasn't home , I was 9 , I'll never forget sparks - I predict . great song 😆
Boogie Fever was the first track! I inherited this album from my older brother, lol. Only remember a few songs: Boogie Fever, Dream Weaver, Blue Jeans On, Do You Know?...
K tel was good marketing for the time especially considering you had a great selection of hits On one album became at the time you would have had to buy several albums just to get all the artist featured on a collection they had many. Great collections. Yet in order to fit all these tracks on one album they often condensed a track down from the original recording
I have a copy of Pure Power as well. For some odd reason the TV ad was inaccurate, because the stars and hits that were all announced are not all part of the collection. Could it be that our K-tel records spokesman was presenting the Canada version instead of the USA version?
They got the versions mixed up again. This ad is for the Canadian version, yet the cover is the US version. The Sylvers and Dr. Buzzard's band are on the cover, but not on the Canadian version.
A lot of great hits on this album.
I had this, and played it over and over...
me too...
Same!!!
"Funky!"
Boogie.🕺

i did a lot of that or i just 'borrowed' the records and played them on my tiny record player
What happened to the good old days. I remember the good old 70s. Great times great memories.
"At K-tel, Everyone Matters."
Cool!
The original version of this ad featured buzzing, and strange lights in the eyes of the artists. - Very strange.

Back in a time when music was created by musicians and not computers. You had to really know how to sing, too. No autotune.
I guess this aired in December 1976.
I ORDERED THIS ALBUM AND IT ARRIVED ALAS!!! CAN'T WAIT TO PUT IT ON THE TURN TABLE AND ROCK OUT!!!

"Alvin" Bishop? "Dianna" Ross? At least they were spelled right on the album.
Canadian spelling. Kind of like Rawlex watches.
Yeah for a second I thought I had Elvin wrong for all these years ! My whole life became a lie. Lol.

The artist was called Elvin Bishop and not Alvin Bishop. Good collection anyway.
