I remember ordering stuff COD and also putting an envelope in the mail box with enough change for a stamp and the mailman would take it. Great memories.
Is it me or is this the first TV commercial to include the world "bitch" when they played the snippet of Bad Blood? My mom had issue with that tune, same as she had issue with Frankie Valli swearing to God. Mom was kinda a stickler on values. I can see why. But I'm a little more liberal minded than mom, and in a way mom understands. Of course I still bristle every time Kelis brags about her milkshake bringing boys to the barn. I get like that too. My values go far back as Lone Ranger and Captain Kangaroo. Please feel my pain!!!
my mom had an issue with 'go all the way'. of course bad blood had elton john singing back-up and was on his label so that's probably how bitch got on there! then hall and oates took it from there. oh the wait, the stones started it i think.
My very first record! I wish there was a full song list. I seem to remember Elton John "Rocket Man" being on it and one of the highlights for me, I may be confusing it with something else though. It was definitely "Theme from S.W.A.T." that originally grabbed my attention though.
I got my digital copy of the original K-tel LP and 22 of them are the original songs, not K-tel edits. I hate K-tel edited versions of the original singles to squeeze into one album if there was room. I prefer the non K-tel edits a lot better.

There's nothing like a good old Jigsaw tune
I remember these ads and songs--from the days before you had youtube, satellite radio, or other sources for your fave tunes
Kiss followed by George Baker Selection, that made me LOL!
LOVE K TEL..ALWAYS HAVE.....RONCO TOO!!
Ah brings me back to the 70s as a kid. what good memories
I had this 8 track when I was a kid! Loved it.
Me,too
the k-tel company itself was a mind bender.
😂 🤔
Lots of genres....nice.

I heard that the cover was dipped in LSD and if you licked it you were never the same again.
You've Seen This On WDSU-TV in New Orleans During the Big Movie

You got it right! I still have the album!

LOL! My mother still has this 8 track!
They should say “parts of these 22 songs!”
I remember having this- Heart's "Crazy On You" was on the Canadian version but KISS wasn't. There's probably some other differences too.
Mind bender? No. Mind BLOWER? YES.
Theme from SWAT had some good grooves in it !
"Borrowed" from the original artists
Neil Sedaka?! Sign me up
Tommy the who was my first.
Ah, _Bad Blood_ - a song that addressed, well, "bad blood"...
Even KISS cant save this album.
I remember "Oona Balloona Blanca".
It was "Una Paloma Blanca"
$5.99 and $6.99 in 1976? Wow -- expensive! And the higher price for the 8-track!
Felt like I was watching the Green Hornet.
@aldiakaroofus Hence why the album's called Mind Bender.LOL
MOM ! i need six bucks (or seven bucks for cassette)
I have this on 8-track tape. Great songs but many were hacked to pieces. Typical of k-tel records.
James Wilson they hacked a lot of songs on their albums !
Not the best title for this album.
A mind bender, alright! All of the songs are hacked to pieces; worse than on any other K-tel album!
