This episode is winning awards and these actors are getting recognized for this next award season. I’m calling it. This was a masterpiece
💯!!!
I was all snot and tears, chin wobbling, the lot. This episode was so beautiful.
It really was !!
My throat was hurting cause i was trying to hold it in 😭😭
I actually just did edit about Bill and Frank, yall can check it on my channel
The acting was phenomenal ❤
It's been a long time since something has emotionally impacted me on this scale. I was bawling and went to bed with a headache loooool. As someone who's played the game 1-2 times a year since it was released, I adored this episode and I feel like the deviations they did gave Bill's character closure and depth he didn't have before. I miss his interactions with Ellie but... that's why we have a game. I loved what they did with this episode and even though it was incredibly bittersweet and heartbreaking, it comes down to what The Last of Us has always been at it's core: a story about humanity and the human connection.
It’s honestly perfect
So well written and acted... completely unexpected. I assumed the frank stuff would all be in the cold open but man did they add some beautiful depth to those characters. Great vid you earned a sub
It really was ! A shocking change from the game but certainly a welcome one ! - thanks for subbing
One of the best pieces of television I've seen in A WHILE! First time I've seen a show improve on its source material this much! Such a beautifully written story
Couldn't agree more!
Agreed. This was a bold choice and it worked out so well. I’m glad they didn’t end up like the video game versions of themselves.
I ugly sobbed for like an hour. Jesus Christ.
I better see Nick Offerman get an Emmy for this
I found it hard to edit for crying all over again
that’s on track for a straight man to play gay and get an award... so.. i don’t think and “award” is necessary. the episode was important enough.
@@chadstchad it has nothing to do with sexual orientation. It's about the incredible performance that Nick delivered, which definitely deserves special recognition
God I was a wreck after watching this. The strawberry scene was so beautiful
It really was !!
This was one of the most beautiful episodes of television I've ever seen. I can't remember the last time a show made me cry so hard.
Freaking fantastic!!
everybody gangsta until they see this nick offerman cry, I mean kudos to casting Frank and Bill, genius, and well executed story, was expecting to be scared, didn't expect to cry a lot
Oh exactly !!
I was literally sobbing, this was my favorite episode so far ❤❤❤
One of the best!! Give it all the awards.
I just realize the soundtrack they used during the wedding scene is almost the same as in the movie Arrival
Yeah I thought it sounded familiar
hehehe, it doesn't "sound similar", it's the same piece: Max Richter's "On The nature of Daylight".
I cried so hard, a very well written and beautifully acted episode, loved your reaction!
It was so well written. It deviated from the game, but it was such a nice story.
I'm glad they changed it from the game where Frank died alone after growing apart from Bill. This is a happier yet more devastating version of Bill and Frank's relationship in the game, which was mostly kept to letters and journals.
Totally agree this was soo much better
honey when I tell u I was sobbing through that whole story for someone who hasn’t played the game, I truly felt everything and it was such a wonderful episode by far. Was not planning to cry this early in the morning, I wasn’t ready for this .
Same here Sebastian ! I was an emosh wreck as you can see haha
trust me George, I was a crying mess as well. this was such a beautiful love story how could you not cry
It really was !
Loved your reaction! I SOBBED the entire time from the strawberries scene to the end of the dinner scene 😭 the actors were so good
Will never look at strawberries the same ever again. So good.
That ending with bill and frank hurt me I wasn’t ready and I’m not even gay🫣🥺🥺🥺😭a lot of my family members are and I love them and y’all are lovable people 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️😂and messy as hell love y’all 🥰❤️as always but made me ball out 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭I love how Joel and Ellie is reacting now but that ending you serious 😭😭😭😭🤣
It was just a beautiful love story
@@TheHorrorHourTV it was really beautiful ❤️😭🥺like awnnnn😍🥺they were the best 🤞🏽😊if mines ain’t like frank back upppp back uppppp🤣that also that strawberry looked delicious 🤤 😊🤣🤣🤣
Brother, I cried for like 2 hours after watching this.
It was so good
Great reactions, I too was in tears. Just a masterclass in story telling and queer television. Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett deserve awards for their performances here. I'm just happy Bill and Frank lived a long beautiful life together. "I like you older, older means we're still here" 😭
Give them all the awards possible!!!
We needed an episode like this where someone chose to live their lives freely and find love despite the tragedy going on outside their world.
It was perfect !
Bill’s traps were so effective in the show that he caught a husband
We need to take lessons.
How do I make a Bill trap?
I cried for 15mins straight. 😭
It was a lot for Monday morning
The gays were not ready
Absolutely not!!
Yes I was and this episode was lame!
I was crying so hard I literally felt sick this was TOO MUCH
They said , how can we destroy people
@@TheHorrorHourTV when On the Nature of Daylight started playing i literally thought i was going to die
Omg i just wanted to hug you everytime you cried. I loved your reaction. definitely subscribing
Wow, thank you
I had heard how this episode was so good from those who got early screeners. I assumed it was going to be a jammed pack action episode, plus having heard about how much gamers dug Bill and his drama, but I was gagged with this one. Apparently it's the biggest deviation from the game, according to the creators in the about the episode. I was like, what a great character piece! I mean, I was still thrown from the juxtaposition from the last to episode to this one, but I was weeping with everyone else. I literally went from you better get it Frank to OMG, WHYYYY??!! I was so sad. I did not expect this from the show. 😭😭
Yes this really is such a change but it’s so beautiful that it doesn’t matter !!
How dare they rip my heart out! 😭 Such a beautiful story.
Right?! But soo good
George’s emotional ass about to get destroyed by this episode
And it truly did
you reaction was close to mine, glad to see more empathetic people
The episode broke me.
We appreciate your dedication and hard work. God bless you.
❤️❤️
Just went I thought I ran out of tears 😭😭 Great reaction as always! 👏
Meanwhile, Yutaka loves seeing you all ugly cry!
I’m so glad for your reaction. I was a MESS for this. So glad to see two men being in love on a major show like this. I’ve seen so many people complaint about pushing a gay agenda. Why are they so afraid of same sex couples.
Good knows! It’s also like they’ve never played the game
This was a beautiful episode!
Beautiful reaction to a beautiful episode ❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you 😊
This episode and show are definitely winning awards. Acting, directing, the sets, everything was great. You can’t have a lot of action every single episode or it’d get old. Plus, there is a budget they had to deal with. As I’ve said to others, if the show was bad, then the small # of people complaining about the changes would have a point. The show is great, so their point isn’t a big deal.
Im a Last of Us loyalist but honestly I am COMPLETELY fine with them taking what is essentially a sidequest in the game and turning it into one of the most beautiful stories I've seen on TV. And the latter at the end adds so much context for things to come later for Joel. Its just masterful. Its really a gods honest shame that there are people who will completely write all of it off because men kissing makes them uncomfortable.
Totally agree
❤ I love your reactions
8:54 😂
Also seeing Happy Young Tess was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. I’m glad she wasn’t always the jaded, broken Tess we knew her as. I’m glad that she had some happiness at some point. Her and Frank as bffs were adorable
14:21 aww honey 😢 ❤ 🤗. This episode hit so hard especially if you have a partner. I’m married so it destroyed me lol. I’m mad at him as I write this over something stupid but I would totally pull a Bill if he tried to leave before me in that way. No hesitation.
I love that more and more groups are getting representation in our favorite sources of entertainment. Makes me super happy.
This episode is one of the best of the series, and the best of television. Thanks for watching. We really appreciate it.
Hi girl! Had to catch up after the short yall released for this episode. Very sad VA Tess died but also still sad for show Tess aka Olivia Dunham aka Anna Torv
Yes so sad about Olivia !
SO GOOD
Yesss!!!
“you were my purpose” this episode 😭
Gutted!!
to me, that is the most important line in the episode.
in the end, Ellie is Joel's purpose.
I appreciate a deviation that is meant to make this storyline have depth and emotional weight/setup for this TV season long story, in contrast to the action driven yet more subdued approach in the game. I actually adored it mainly for how it still functions the same narrative/character arc purpose, to instill a change in Joel to grow closer to Ellie and foreshadows the terrible, violent choice he will make, from love.
Totally!
💔 very heartbreaking episode 😭
It really was
Such a beautiful episode #chefskiss
Absolutely!
This episode is indeed very gay and very sad. but also weirdly happy.
Oh absolutely!
This episode is a masterly short story of 2 of "the last of us". Great reaction. I haven't played the game so I don't miss it. This however seems like a much better story than a "shoot em up" from the game play.
It’s a great deviation
They said let’s make the gays show emotional !!!
They really did !
Why are people complaining about them being gay it’s litterally just then following the source from the game
@@opeix I meant I was the gay emotional person 🤣🤣 ! Other people are just fools and don’t wanna believe that the game is as progressive as it actually is! bill and Frank where gay , Ellie is a lesbian and Lev is trans ! So I don’t know what game they’ve been playing honestly
Okay, I've prepared for the hate with my unpopular opinion... This was the most disappoint episode thus far. Yes, it was so well acted and written. Done beautifully. And I'm so glad that there was such a great representation. That said, I am not a fan of romance. At all. I hate it, actually. I didn't feel the attachment and heartbreak it appears everyone else did. I wanted the school. I wanted the having upside-down scene. I wanted bloaters. Which I already knew wouldn't be included, but this episode drove it home. Sorry to all those who loved this episode. I'm just not an emotional or romantic person. I feel like this show is quickly declining for me. Especially since I started to play the game again as I watch the episodes. Also, Bella is a better Ellie than Pedro is Joel. I said what I said. Okay I'm ready for the hate.
Hey you’re entitled to your opinion it’s all good :)
Worst episode of any show I have ever seen seriously it was a cringe fest mostly.
And you’re 14 years old
If you would honestly still be uncomfortable if this entire episode was guy/girl, then fair enough-not everyone can handle deep human emotion and tragedy on screen. If it *would* make a difference, it’s just your discomfort with homosexuality. Because this was a profoundly touching piece of human storytelling.
I don't think you understand the message of the game or the show. This was an amazing episode. You can take that comment elsewhere.
Shut up for the rest of your life
did you learn that word on tick tock youngin?
