Why is everyone saying the woman at 1:12 is in the wrong road markings clearly show the Ute is in the wrong as the left lane is turn left only.
seems like a lot of people don't look at road markings
And you Bethany are welcome to drive any time! At least I can guarantee you aren't about to bloody T-bone me because you actually know the road rules (unlike half the other fools around here!).
@@electrasonic are you trolling? The ute was in a left turn only lane?
Agree. White ute must turn left and the female was not at fault. According to the road marking.
@@electrasonic female driver's lane can turn left, go straight and turn right. Double check the road marks in the video.

1:12 she is not at wrong, UTE must turn left (road marks)
@@sammyfromsydney look the road marks she has the option to go left, UTE only option is to go left not straight, she is not at fault
@@sammyfromsydney she is not changing lanes, she is turning left
syousef She’s not changing lanes, she’s turning left. Which is allowed if you look at the markings on the road. The car beside her went forward which is not allowed as the left lane is left turn only.
I didn't notice that at first. Can only think of one roundabout like that in Canberra and it has the solid lines showing the path you have to take so my first thought was "you tried to turn LEFT from the RIGHT lane, you absolutely are at fault"
I take it back, person in the video. Ute driver is just a wanker thinking he can do whatever he likes on the road.
Who said she was wrong?
Welcome to another episode of “I know that road”
or "do i know that road...yes... no...wait...yes...no?" 0_o XD
There was one residential road that had the lite head on collision that I had to change a flat tire on. I was there for like an hour and half. First tire I ever had to change, 8 cars passed me and 2 even pulled into the house across the road from me three times because they kept just going up the street and back. Not one person stopped to offer help. Qlders cop a lot of shit but some of it they deserver.

Note. Whether is mud or snow, if she starts to slide, get off the brakes right away. You need steering and you cant steer when all 4 are locked up.
its shocking how many people do not know this
Slightly more difficult on a down hill gradient if you don't have the right wheels, you end up picking up speed (especially in a auto) which makes the car more difficult to steer ... theres a balance point that comes with experience. . . Coming off the brakes is a good rule of thumb for alot of situations though.
I usually end up repeating to myself 'dont touch the brakes' if I ever slide
also note: when driving in snow, go real slow
You can steer while braking with ABS
Unfortunately most Aussie don’t drive on anything other then a hard surfaces then come the snow they will just drive as if like any other days of the weeks

1:10 To save time for everyone digging thru the comments. People that live in the area say going left at the roundabout takes you to a major highway, that's why there are 2 left turn lanes. Bethany was totally in the right there, no matter what Trevor has to say.
@Heads Mess Except for one other minor detail. The left lane was a left turn ONLY lane, and who expects someone in a left turn lane to suddenly go straight when they are right beside you?
@Heads Mess I agree, you should always drive defensively, but in this case I think it was pretty much unavoidable because the ute drive was driving like a dickhead. Left lane was left turn only, right lane was left, forward and right turns, she was indicating left (you can hear it ticking), the ute was right next to her and cutting straight into her path.
@Heads Mess No one T-boned anyone here -- this is not a T-bone collision. You could argue she could have avoided it (I don't agree), but it was not her fault. The driver of the ute was the one who broke the rules and is the one who would have been found at fault.

I hope the young lady who got in the roundabout accident is ok. She sounded very upset.
Dani B considering it wasn’t her fault either lol
@Goughs Bastard The lane markings say otherwise. Left lane must turn left (into the left lane of the first exit), right lane can turn left (into the right lane of the first exit), go straight on, or turn right. Turning left at that roundabout is obviously the main route and two lanes of traffic going to the left would be perfectly normal, unless you're an idiot who drives straight on from a left turn only lane. Now do you see how it's sensible and safe?
@Goughs Bastard You are an idiot. You obviously have one of those licences they hand out on cereal packets.
@Goughs Bastard Are you daft? She wasn't changing lanes. She was staying in her (right) lane, moving to the (right lane) of the first exit, as the arrows indicated she could.
@Goughs Bastard It's not changing lane, it's exiting a roundabout in the manner indicated by the road markings.

Surely this isn't the first time you've seen a Camry.
stopping behind the line is not compulsory in all situations. So you can only say they didn't correctly stop behind the line if you saw them pulling up. If you can't stop before the line but can stop before entering an intersection then you must stop before the intersection.
@@andrewdavidson6495 WTF? There is no red light they didn't need to stop. The only situation that it is compulsory to stop behind the line is if there is a red light, ie the only reason you have to stop at that slip lane. (besides giving way to other cars, which they weren't doing)
Yes if they had driven over the line but hadn't entered the intersection when the lights changed to red they are obliged to stay there. But as there is no red light that clearly isn't what happened here.

The roundabout at 1:06 has a bad design. The fact that several people think the girl was wrong indicates that the roundabout is not clear to all drivers.
By installing a low curb for the left hand turn it can easily be improved. Even better would be to have an entirely sepatate turning lane, not making use of the roundabout at all.
This problem could be fixed so easily, for very little money or time. It would solve a decent amount of car crashes and possible injuries.
Its an unusual layout certainly. But with the painted arrows, and presumably a road sign further back, you can't say you didn't know unless you weren't paying attention, and you shouldn't have a license if you can't pay attention. In fact, small scale studies have shown that removing road signs makes roads safer because people have to actually observe the road and think rather than relying on signs and assumptions.
@@Goabnb94 I agree, but it still can be improved so easily
I'd like to agree with you, but if you think it would be easy, and/or little cost, I'd like to remind you of just how shit our councils and governments are when it comes to this kind of thing.

12:34 lmao the cyclist road rage is amazing
You're not a cyclist if you haven't yelled at someone. I did just today.
Cyclist stupidity is just as amazing. How many of them ride near the center of the road going far under the speed limit is astonishing, especially when there are paths nearby, but they get angry if you don't give them 'space' on the road, even when you can't without putting others at risk.
Not all cyclists do this, but in my experience it's the vast majority.
Just the other day I had to get a cab, this exact thing happened, there was no room to move to the side so the driver just kept going as the other cars were, mind you, the distance from us to the cyclist was no less than the distance from us to the car beside us. Meanwhile the cyclist randomly starts yelling their head off at us as we pass, like were the ones who shouldn't be on the road. I mean I assume thats what he was yelling about, you can't hear shit when you are in the car going the speed limit because they're already ages behind you when you pass them. I wouldn't have an issue with it if they just stuck to the side of the road and gave enough room for cars to actually safely go around them. But again, it just isn't what you see on the roads.
If you start to slide:
In a FWD: give it light gas and steer into the slide
In a RWD: let it coast and steer into the slide
Sincerly a Canadian viewer
I was just sitting here yelling "Get off the brake! Oooh you're gonna ditch 'er, bud" One of those roads, though, with that slushy crap - you might as well be driving on greased up glass. Those suck even with winter tires.
Nah, we're on the other side of the world so we need to do the opposite! The correct Australian way is to close your eyes, frantically slam your brakes on, and over-correct the car. Bonus points if you have bald tires or tires that arent appropriate for winter conditions. :D
handsdown too what do you mean appropriate for winter? Winter tires are in the realm of “special order”. Snow chains on the other hand are much easier to get.
6:02. So RED means GO " if nobody comes?" I'm confused 🤔

Tricky to drive straight with any car loaded on the trailer backwards... Unless it hasn't got an engine in it. Even then...
hello fellow commodore hater LOL
Reported for hate speech
@@the_real_superstickman Plus their driving a ute.
Think of that guy's anxiety trying to get his car back to facing the right way again. 30 point turn with mounting traffic waiting for you. Poor bastard.
"Beep him, beep him.... BEEP HIM!"
"I thought he was s-skidding...?"
......"oh" 😂
ugh missed the chance to beep him lol
12:34 , I've watched this bicycle bit so many times, it gives off the same energy as that clip of Richard Hammond on a bicycle swearing at a van
Now I understand why they’re pushing to have cars that are programmed to drive themselves
It will be definitely safer. I also think blind people can drive better than some of these people.
Rusty R3volva until someone decides to save a few bucks by servicing the car themselves...or a computer develops a fault, or is following an outdated map...
...besides, cars that drive themselves have been around for decades...they’re called taxis
Video quality at 0:55 is amazing!
It's night on the freeway there's one truck in 5kms? Better overtake when there's oncoming traffic can't wait
55 y/o American: "Austrailia gets snow?!?!" TIL
Not much, and only in a few very specific areas at a specific time of year, if conditions are right. Then no drivers know how to deal with it and everyone skids and crashed, hence the video. ;)
9:39 - Very well said mate. Summed up the situation perfectly. 👍👍 Darwin Award winner right there.
Can't believe i binge-watch this.
The kid walking into the sign at the hyperdome made my day haha
@iris It's Logan, the kid probably doesn't have a brain.
@@spoony8232 lol. Well, it's true about Bogan, eh I mean Logan.
They hyperdome recently got a whole new camera set up too so this is probably in crystal clear 4K haha
the most driver here can't drive on snow either, which is embarrasing, we have snow _regularly_
Greetings from Germany
we also dont have winter tyres at our disposal because theres only a few very small places in Australia that actually get snow.
@@SirSpinalColumn we do
But only In Melbourne, Sydney and alpine regions
Everywhere else there's just no point so they get all terrains which technically are rated for snow
we have sometimes visit from our fellow visitors from the UK. Winter tyres are not sold there, but if you have an accident in Germany in winter the insurance companies will give you a partial guilt when you don't have equipped your car with it.
slugmeister i live in Sydney and have been driving for 20 years and I’ve never seen a snow tyre marketed for regular cars.
@Kristof Alexy i know
hence why the technicality
9:33 Kudos to the Truckie's quick reaction to the numbnut pulling out
I had an inguinal hernia operation 11 days ago and when I was watching this the driver of the truck at 9:30 tipped me over the edge into uncontrollable fits of hysterical laughter. Tears were streaming down my face, I could hardly speak, I was holding the area of my abdomen at the location of the keyhole surgery to try to minimise any damage from the laughter, and my wife in the other room said the more I tried to stop myself from laughing the more I laughed.
I haven't lost it like that for such a long time, and even though I'm still sore from the surgery, they do say that laughter is the best medicine, but I'm not sure this is what they mean.
4:14 can't have been the first they've hit their head.
That was the best 😂🤣
Pretty sure that is the Logan Hyperdome entrance. Not surprised
Some of the saves in this video are incredible!
@@chisel83 Second truck was travelling too closely to the truck in front. If there was more distance he would have had more time to react.
Love those Australian "sure-slip non-grip" tyres....... Must be great in the snow.
Good job 99 percent of the population will never see snow
3:23 Fuck! That's metal!
First time I've seen that phrase used correctly on the interwebs.
1:12 there should be something blocking the left lane from going straight through. Road markings clearly aren't enough.
Sadly I doubt it would help. There's a similar roundabout near my house where the left lane does only go left with no option to go forward, but people still cut into the right lane at the last second when they realize they're stuck in the wrong lane. Lots of accidents caused because people are too impatient to spend a few extra minutes turning left then doing a u-turn back to the roundabout.
If you can't be trusted to do it right you shouldn't have your licence.
The solution isn't to continuously gimp all the roads, the moron behind the wheel is the problem. They're just going to go and kill someone the next day if you don't get them off the roads.
The people at 5:34 are the type of people who clap when the plane lands
The worst kind of people
Isnt that a good thing? Good that the pilot didnt fly in a mountain
It's more like they're having some fun given the number of times the white car slips up
@@ark14700 yeah they're loving it. Was hoping for more.
@@Ruuhm Flying into a mountain is not an inevitability.. what I mean to say is, they didn't overcome the odds to get you on the ground. Do you clap your Uber driver for not crashing?
12:36 couldn't have said it better myself. Get a light, then maybe look into getting a brain.
naaaaah he was in dire need of KFC. He didn't have time
NOT GUILTY
Idk he seem really nasty to the kid like I know he fucked up but you don’t have to abuse him you can say like watch where your going mate or something Idk
@@ryanstark2084 he’s on the road, this isn’t a game. He’ll remember that language next time he decides to be reckless.
Hmmmm 1:11 ... I saw a ute VERY similar a week or 2 ago acting a wanker heading up to this roundabout ... I said something to one of the trucks he cut off or something too ... I'm thinking there's a fair chance that's my voice on the cb lol. I figured the wank would do something.
Omg to be caught on a dashcam walking into a sign 🤣🤣🤣
I love the pure Aussie lingo at 9-38. It's beautiful to the ear.
The scary thing is, most of these people are legally allowed to drive
Tony P they all are? Because they have a license?
and breed.
@@mylesiswhite4122 it's hard for me to accept that all of them have licenses. People from overseas can obtain fake licenses in their country and then drive in Australia on those licenses.
I think you should have to resit for your licence every 5 years from the age of 18 (or whenever you first get your Ps). Would ensure that the dickheads who never follow the rules get their licences taken away. Roads would be a lot safer
@@maximillianford9301 as much as I don't like what you said, it makes perfect sense. For my job (and many others) we have to continuously retake tests to be able to perform our job which does not even involve heavy machinery.
Even rain looks to be challenging for Aussies. It wasn't a big surprise that snow is an impossible obstacle.
Coming home the other week in the rain, there was 4 seperate accidents on the princess in a 12km stretch
jonnenne because in significant amounts of the country you can sometimes go months without rain.
RonnyDonny13 that is where I was trying to go with my point. Big gaps between periods of rain and people get used to not driving in the wet. :)
14:10 "beep him"...followed by the most piss weak beeping I've heard in my life. *Blast the thing!*
Despite me telling her she's wrong, My mum used to get so annoyed when I'd use the word 'cunt' and she fully believe that no one used it because its so vulgar.
So I've shown her a few of these compilations to prove my aggressive driving language is commonplace 😂😂😂
0:55 I have never seen a more elite dash cam quality video ever. 8K
I know, right. From potato cams to this in just a couple of years. What a time to be alive.
I could still tell it was a Zenki S14
