Last Minute Striper Fishing Before & After The Storm On The Sacramento River

We decided to test the waters before and after a rainy day in May on the Sacramento River. Luck was on our side and we manage to hook on some striper. Umbrillas my go to lure when then fish need a group of bait to run across them. I dont toss the 5 piece one since my rods cant handle more than 3 oz of weight.

Keep trying its hot now i think the fish are more in the bottom now compared to last month. Id hit the feather river side if ur rods can handle 6oz of weight

I use the 7'0 MH Favorite Whitebird. I tend to like the whippy rods compare to stiff

@@pegatron6599 if u do surf fishing or like to launch lures out far u are good but if ur gonna be tossing lures close distances only id go 8ft or below.
