I just seen a different twist on this one. Charlie Brown and Linus was at the farm and Charlie Brown found Snoopy. Linus found out someone else had gotten Snoopy but had brought him back. Charlie says, “well he’s my dog now”.

As a massive fan of Peanuts since childhood, I absolutely LOVED this. I teared up a little at some parts! As a child, I grew up reading the comic strips and watching the tv specials, and the recent Peanuts Movie is one of my favorites. This is a wonderful animation and a great tribute to Sparky and his characters. Thank you so much. ❤️
I only remember the story of how Charlie Brown got Snoopy from the movie Snoopy Come Home. There was a scene where Charlie Brown and Linus were sitting under the tree and Charlie Brown was relating the story to Linus. According to Charlie Brown he was in the sandbox playing with a couple of kids. One of them for no reason dumped a bucket of sand on Charlie Brown's head. Charlie Brown then cried then his mother ran up and took him home. The next day Mr and Mrs. Brown took Charlie Brown to The Daisy Hill Puppy Farm. Then they bought him Snoopy.
Very sweet! A great tribute to a great comic strip! Love how you used the earlier Peanuts character style from the strip's very early years! Also loved how the story stayed true to the strip-Charlie Brown DID get Snoopy from The Daisy Hill Puppy Farm according to Charles Schulz! Keep up the wonderful work!
I can now add this short to the many Peanuts moments that reduce me to a blubbering mess. Perfect animation for 50s style CB, and then the use of Someday, Charlie Brown in the end...a river flowed from my eyes. Well done.

This is wonderful coming from a fellow peanuts fan as well. I like how you reference the first incarnation of peanuts in place of the version we know today. Great work!!
Snoopy was based on Schulz's childhood dog Spike and is actually the oldest character in the Peanuts canon, having appeared in his first published drawing in 1937 (a sketch of Spike), again in the very first panel of his that was published in February 1947, and then in the very first Lil' Folks comic that was published in June 1947. He's also one of the original Peanuts characters from 1950.
Great art can touch you, stimulate your imagination, and change your moods. It is all in the mind. Therefore the work here is deserving of a hearty bravo. I am entertained, enthralled, and enamored with the talent.
EXCELLENT video, Pablo! This was an absolutely WONDERFUL tribute to "Sparky" and his beloved creation, Peanuts, the GREATEST comic strip of all time! You feel so much sadness, so much anguish, so much empathy for "Good Ole' Charlie Brown." Yes, that's the main reason I decided to make this animated cartoon. Snoopy's reunion is an enjoyable special, but it's full of contradictions. Therefore, here's the true version about Snoopy's adoption (which was written by Charles M. Schulz)
Ikr? They had Linus accompanied Charlie Brown to The Daisy Hill Puppy Farm when originally he wasn't there! And it was Mr. and Mrs. Brown that took Charlie Brown there and bought Snoopy for him.
@@pablocartoonman8304 Agreed, the biggest one being that Snoopy was an 'only dog'. Great job on this cartoon, by the way. Too bad it only allows one thumbs up!

Not a lot of Peanuts fanimations are true to the original fifties style and you even referenced how Charlie Brown says he got Snoopy in Snoopy Come Home! Indeed you are a super fan! Great job!
I love that you chose to use the throwback 1950-52 character designs of Charlie Brown and Snoopy. And I happened to notice that little Easter egg you included, namely the 10-02-50 license plate (the debut date of the Peanuts strip). I'd like to think Schulz would have approved.
This was mentioned in the 1972 movie Snoopy Come Home. Charlie is not Snoopy's original owner. It was a girl named Lila who owned Snoopy and returned him to the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm for some reason
I got my Snoopy early summer of 1973 when a Beagle mother picked our house to have puppies under. When they were big enough she brought them out and I picked the cutest puppy ad my Snoopy. And he lived his whole life on the farm he was born on, free to come and go as he pleased, enjoy life and his human family.
Since the very first, I have love the Peanuts gang. The videos come out every Halloween and Christmas plus others I’ve collected through the years. This past Christmas I had collected enough ornaments to have a full size Peanuts Christmas tree. The family and friends loved it. Charles Schultz outdid himself when he created these lovable characters. Thank you for adding to the story. Snoopy pup is adorable and Charlie needed this🐶 friend 🐶
Pablo, this was wonderful. Thank you. I knew the story but seeing it put to life was outstanding. After watching this, I sat with my beagle, with tears coming down. She knew I needed a "Snoopy Smooch" and did just that. A boy and his dog...it doesn't matter how old we get.
Wow! We finally get to see Charlie Brown's mom' and dad's legs, haha. I can't believe they have him sitting in a kiddy table. No wonder he has such issues. I always loved Charlie Brown. He was the underdog, but he had a caring heart.
bro i actually started to tear up when Charlie opened the box, this animation was so wholesome...well you do know what they say, Happiness is a Warm Puppy
Snoopy is a little off from his original appearance. I mean ORIGINAL but, man, is the art style spot on for Charlie Brown. You did a really good job of capturing the appearance of the earliest strips. What fun about Snoopy is he started off as everybodies dog. Just a dog in the neighborhood that everyone liked and took care of. In a really early strip Snoopy actually comes running out of Shermy's house. I love this quote from the English language wikipedia article. It's about how Charlie Brown became Snoopy's owner: "In the September 20, 1980 strip, Charlie Brown comments that he once told Snoopy to "stay" and "he never went home.""
It even nailed the sound design pretty well; I especially like the use of the classic bodyfall sounds and the original "wah wah wah" vocal sounds, and especially the "Someday Charlie Brown" song.
Like the attention to detail in this: the car reg is 10 - 02- 50, American English for 2nd October 1950, date of the first Peanuts strip. Like how this is in the style of the very early 50s strips too. An affectionate homage, well done sir!
There is no flashback in the show, but in 'Snoopy Come Home', Charlie Brown tells this story to Linus. This was before the public knew about puppy Mills/Farms. Not that Daisy Hill was anything like those.
FLASH FACT: In the earliest 'Peanuts' comic strips, Snoopy wasnt owned by anyone, he was a neighborhood dog like Petey in Our Gang/Little Rascals.
Yup!!

Very nicely done. Thank you!
This is wonderful. You really captured the essence of these characters. Beautifully done.
I love the 1950's snoopy
Pablo, this was wonderful. Thank you. I knew the story but seeing it put to life was outstanding. After watching this, I sat with my beagle, with tears coming down. She knew I needed a "Snoopy Smooch" and did just that.
A boy and his dog...it doesn't matter how old we get.
That was beautiful man great job I love these kind of stories
The Ford LTD was a nice touch.
This is soooooooo underrated!
Thank you for sharing this and most of all for doing it in Schultz's original 1950's style of artwork.
Wow! We finally get to see Charlie Brown's mom' and dad's legs, haha. I can't believe they have him sitting in a kiddy table. No wonder he has such issues. I always loved Charlie Brown. He was the underdog, but he had a caring heart.

Oh my gosh....my absolutely favorite fames are when charlie brown sits down in the sandbox. It's so precious XD You did a wonderful job on this!
This made my heart sad then happy. Bless you.
“People buy pets for strange reasons.”
bro i actually started to tear up when Charlie opened the box, this animation was so wholesome...well you do know what they say, Happiness is a Warm Puppy
It's about how Charlie Brown became Snoopy's owner:
"In the September 20, 1980 strip, Charlie Brown comments that he once told Snoopy to "stay" and "he never went home.""
This Was Mentioned In Snoopy Come Home
Thank you so much for this creation about Snoopy & Charlie Brown. God bless everyone from Patrick
It even nailed the sound design pretty well; I especially like the use of the classic bodyfall sounds and the original "wah wah wah" vocal sounds, and especially the "Someday Charlie Brown" song.
Nice touch, the car license being the date of the first Peanuts strip being published . . .goes well with using the original artistic style.
This cartoon is great
I enjoyed a lot
greetings from Bolivia
It’s the true story!
Great job! Snoopy as a pup mad cute! Song at the end perfect!
Pablo Cartoonman, this was so charming and moving. Thanks very much for doing this!
I really liked the fake zip-o-tones!
Very clever license plate number usage: "10-02-50"...the date of "Peanuts'" newspaper debut!!
Like the attention to detail in this: the car reg is 10 - 02- 50, American English for 2nd October 1950, date of the first Peanuts strip.
Like how this is in the style of the very early 50s strips too.
An affectionate homage, well done sir!
"Touching" and "Adorable" are the probably the only words to describe this lovely "Peanuts" short🎥📽️🎞️🎬
holy cow! that was great! some of my favorite details were CB's mom's skirt hem pattern and the license plate tribute!
Beautiful. Well done. I just discovered your channel and this is amazing work!
Wholesome beyond words. The last bit with Snoopy leaning on Charlie Brown, I gotta say, that choked me up a little.
Awesome job on this!
this made my night... well done sir
This is just too beautiful.
There is no flashback in the show, but in 'Snoopy Come Home', Charlie Brown tells this story to Linus. This was before the public knew about puppy Mills/Farms. Not that Daisy Hill was anything like those.
OMG I LOVED THIS! I DO NOT KNOW WHY I AM SO LATE IN FINDING THIS! THIS WHOLE SCENE REMINDED ME OF SNOOPY COME HOME!!! GREAT JOB!!!
Be a pure and perfect child Charlie brown 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
5:45 I don’t think anyone picked up that the building blocks spell out dab
