@@JeffRolka No sir, thank you. I sing for metal band here in Czech Republic, I've got problems with chords sometimes because of the screaming and growling. But my singing voice is good I think, big thumbs up to you for that. And If you could ever know something about screaming/growling, make a video, I would gladly watch your theory
Thank you, Jeff, for all of these outstanding and tremendous vocal exercises. Your exercises have really honed and enhanced my vocal range. I hope that I can some day repay the favor.
I just recently found your channel and just want to comment on how excellent of a teacher you are. I was in choir in my high school years, but am just too busy these days to join a choir. Your videos are helping me hone my speaking voice, so I can project myself to others around the office. Not to mention come off as more suave for the ladies. For that I thank you and keep up the good work!
Hey Jeff hope you are doing great 👍. My singing still developing very well with your teaching. I seam to be dropping in to a lower octave on some songs . I think it could be a comfort and confidence problem. Also it doesn't sound better when I go up octave .Stumped again 😅 have a great weekend 😊
Awesome! I want to do more of these. So many videos...so few days of the week.... Thank you for watching and thank you for taking the time to comment! Jeff
Jeff, may i ask you a tenor related question, when you started to sing, was the notes G4-C5 easy accesable for you? My voice flips to falsetto at G4-G4# but i dont think im in chest there, but rather in head voice. The weird thing is that i can sing scales up to C5 without flipping using less power and airflow. So because i feel im in head at G4 when i sing that with power and flipping at G4-G4#, i feel im a baritone.
No, g4 was not easy for me to sing. There's a lot of misunderstanding about how the voice functions and how different choices about how to sing have remarkably different results. The 'flipping' that you're feeling is the vocal fold reconfiguring itself as it moves through the ranges. Professional singers don't avoid or 'push past' these transitions but rather learn to navigate them smoothly so that they are effectively non-existent to a listener who doesn't understand vocal ranges. For example: ruclips.net/video/1WetqFLkcuk/видео.html
Hi Jeff!! Just wondered if you have any advice for singing the first note of the song. I always have such a feeling of tension that whatever the song it comes out tight of flat. Cheers
The simple answer to this is be engaged well in advance of the tonal onset. In practice, I just released a tonal onset practice video - might try that: ruclips.net/video/GSMisM1qjEE/видео.html Let me know if that helps! Jeff
Really enjoyed the lesson this could possibly be a series where you do famous people like Elvis riffs Whitney Houston refs Gregg Allman riffs Aretha Franklin riffs anyway thank you for your talent
0:30 first riff
7:20 second riff
13:52 third riff
Thank you for doing that! I really appreciate it!

These are so musical, what a pleasure it is to work on my voice with these melodies. Very beautiful utility we have here, thank you.
I love these warm-ups that require some listening skills and additional effort on behalf of the student. More, please!🙃
Another SUPER lesson Jeff, thank you for boosting our bass-baritone voices! Have a great week.
You're welcome!
