It was a surprise at the Aphrodite Tour in some ways… we’re used to her changing up this song on almost every tour, so we knew that the song would make an appearance and wasn’t a surprise in that sense, but the style I suppose was a surprise! Still the best concert I’ve been to even 12 years on 🙌🏼
This is her equivalent of Madonna’s ‘Music’ in that it is so sparse musically it can be mashed up brilliantly with loads of other tracks. She’s done some truly incredible versions of ‘Slow’ live over the years 🙌🏻

Slow was a no1 single back in 2003....Best live performances??....x tour 2008, golden tour 2018, live from the Graham Norton show 2019 (promoting the greatest hits), and live from the fashion awards....they're 4 very different versions with electro, new romantic, bowie, and disco influences....Who knew at the time the song could be so versatile??

The song was written by Kylie Minogue, Dan Carey and Emilíana Torrini and it sounds like nothing else on Body Language and more like fever. She chose to go with this song and turned down another by Can't Get You Out of My Head songwriters Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis entitled Toxic with it going to Britney Spears. I believe it's been voted by NME as the sexiest song ever recorded. There isn't a bad live performance of this song. The VMA performance, The Money Can't Buy It/Body Language Live performance, Showgirl Greatest Hits (I don't like this tour) Showgirl Homecoming (love this tour) Xtour she did in interpolation of Free in it, The Aphrodite Les Folies version is amazing, the bbc proms version is amazing, The Kiss Me Once version is all right, The Golden Tour is mashed up with being boiled. The 2019 Summer Tour which is also the Graham Norton version is mashed up with David Bowie's Fashion and its off the chain. The Infinite Disco and Fashion Awards is the same mash up with Donna Summer's Love to Love You. all these mixes wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for Steve Anderson from the dj and remix duo Brothers in Rhythm who has been her musical director for all of her live shows since 1992.
The best version she’s ever done was the Slow / Love To Love You Baby from Infinite disco. Such a perfect reimagining of the song
previous to Slow (Infinite disco) she did an outstanding SLOW/Fashion (Bowie) version.
