Oria si distingue per il suo centro storico ricco di storia e cultura, architettonicamente omogeneo e ben curato, dove è semplice districarsi tra i tesori artistici. Insignita con la Bandiera Arancione, è divisa in quattro rioni: Rione Castello, Rione Judea, Rione Lama e il San Basilio.
Con la sua facciata barocca in carparo, la Cattedrale fu ricostruita dopo il terremoto del 1743 sui resti di un tempio romanico.
