I so much agree to your final comment... When I heard Mitch and Scott were doing this song I immediately played it. I was drawn right into it, and boy those other there singers are great... Your reaction was so heartfelt, and no I was not crying, my eyes were just sweating... A lot... How are they ever going to top this? Thanks Rob for sharing.
I lost my friend at Orlando Pulse nightclub mass shooting, it was the worst day of my life. I miss him every day. He was only 25. So thank you so much for doing this. It means a lot. I didn't knew what to expect cause after the tragedy there was still people that had the nerve to be disrespectful. Its sad that we live in a World with so much hate.
My thoughts are with you. I am so very sorry to hear that you've been personally touched by such horror Chanel. May you find peace in knowing that we will never forget.
I like the fact that you are not trying to make a funny or impressive reaction, you look like you're genuinely listening, enjoying and feeling it, like you actually have things running through your head. That's beautiful.
Jackie Neal I agree. I've watched quite a few reaction videos for the Superfruit version of Rise, and this, by far, is the best, most touching, and heart warming. I'm not crying.... Actually, I am. 💗
Hi Rob. I stumbled upon your channel and it's a keeper. You're a keeper. I"m an Army veteran as was my first partner. He died of a stroke at the young age of 55. I was 33 then and his daughters saw to it that I suffered as much as possible by locking me out of our home. At that time in 1991 there were no laws in Iowa to protect gay couples. We made out wills, but he passed away before we could sign them. So, this song, which I never heard of, was especially meaningful. I had no where to go but up and knew that he would have wanted me to "Rise". I hope he is watching over me and that i made him proud. I have a great guy in my life as of 1994. A Navy Veteran. Wonderful man. What I love about watching you is seeing another man share the same reaction I had to this song. It truly is beautiful and inspiring. Thank you. AL
And this was one of the most honest, and brave reactions I have seen shared. Powerful song, flawless performance; an anthem for anyone who has been marginalized, for any reason. Thank you so much.
I was about to make this exact comment - Mary was the final straw! I love her little moment there and especially the expression on her face as she sings about calling on her angels (which I imagine are the lads).
She got me with the first four words she sang "I must stay conscious." In the moment, I knew she had an amazing voice! I definitely have to check out more of her music!
Oh for sure, she sings them so sweetly and it's a great contrast to the power from Mario and Brian. You may know her from Macklemore's "Same Love" where she sings the hook (it's her song that they used in it).
IT'S TOO EARLY IN THE MORNING TO MAKE ME CRY. I definitely did cry the first time I heard it, especially knowing that it was for the LGBTQ+ community. It works on a lot of levels-- we will rise and still be ourselves despite being targeted and killed like in orlando. We will still rise against people in politics trying to deny us of rights. And pretty much of all of us have gone through a long journey to get where we are today, myself included. I was closeted and in denial for a long time--I realized I was gay when I was around 11 and I never admitted it to myself until I was 18. I didn't come out to my parents until I was 23. I think this song is so great for kids that are like me when I was younger, and this can give them a little strength and knowing they have more worth than they think.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story! One of my favorite lines in the song is "I won't just conform, no matter how you shake my core." To me, this means standing strong in who you are, not just as individuals, but as a community. I think we all dream of a society that is loving, compassionate and tolerant, but we all have a part to play in achieving that. We have to lift each other up and RISE!
I've been waiting for you to react to this one. The look on your face when Brian started hitting those high notes was priceless. His performances on the recent season of America's Got Talent were amazing. In his childhood he was bullied for being gay and overweight. In the Judge Cuts of AGT he sang his own rendition of the loser anthem "Creep" by Radiohead. Simon Cowell called it breathtaking. If you haven't seen it and you react to it, you should watch a version that is about 8 minutes long so you can see and hear his story before he performs, it makes his performance more beautiful and appropriate. Also, his first audition he sang "Somebody to Love" by Queen. Not many people can pull off a Freddie Mercury cover, but Brian did it.
Seeing somebody have the same reaction you did is such a beautiful thing. I can not hear this song with out tears. It moves me to my very core. It's nice to feel not so alone. Thank you for sharing this video.
I know I’m extremely late on this, 5 years, but I just discovered this. I absolutely loved them and your reaction. And then learning in the comment’s the reason why they did this just blows me away. It really fits perfectly and I’m so glad I watched yours , so kind and sweet. Anyway I don’t even know if you get these messages anymore but I just wanted to let you know your amazing and Mitch is right, you’re definitely a angel.
You are hands down one of my favorite reactors. Your reactions are truly genuine and understated, where some are so over the top you know it's fake. Thank you for your honesty.
I'm a new fan of yours, Rob - not only because our name rocks, but because your reactions are expressive, simple, and truthful. Your authenticity is powerful.
Not sure how I got here, but SO glad I am. This video is the very first one I have seen of Rob Reactor. Watching it was like reliving the first time I saw the Superfruit cover of Rise, which happened only recently. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the world! As I don't have anyone in person who cares about this sort of thing, it was just really sweet to see an honest person feel so genuinely moved by this rendition like I was ❤ I would offer my box of tissue and hug the stuffins out of you if needed! Thanks again and I look forward to watching more of your videos 😊
This is the first video I've seen of yours, and I cannot explain how glad I am that I clicked on it. You are adorable and I loved watching you watch the video! Thank you for explaining what it meant, you definitely earned my subscription.
Thank you for not cursing on your you tube channel. I appreciate it. I also appreciate you. And, by the way, I love how you react to videos especially of Pentatonix. From one Pentalcholic to another. God bless.
I cried watching this omg 😭😭 his reaction was so genuine and almost identical to how I felt watching this the first time. The Collaboration of these amazingly strong voices was breathtaking...watched it a million times over already!!! 💙🙌🏻👏🏻
I've been watching your PTX/Superfruit reactions from the beginning, and I love how heartfelt they are. This is exactly how I reacted when first watching as well. Thanks for sharing.
I love your reactions to music, because while the music itself doesn't move me to tears ,seeing your reaction to it does.so, thank you for helping me reach that level of appreciation for the song.
I often judge myself for crying so much and having so many emotion that most people don't feel so strongly but when i look at you i don't know... i think it's so beautiful it. I'll have to stop judging myself
I'm an emotional person. I cry easily and I don't mind it. It's so hard at first but you just learn to accept it. It's beautiful. We're sensitive creatures. Hehe
I always love your reactions. You're so open and honest with your emotions, it takes me right there with you. I cried when I heard it, especially when you think about what happened in Orlando. Loved this video and your reactions to it.
seeing him cry, made me emotional 😭💕 I love all theirs voices, can't stop watching the video, even decided to see other people's reaction, i love this so much ❤
I just had to write and tell you that you seem such a nice guy and your reaction brought tears to my eyes, too. I also love the song and relate to it and I'm a big Pentatonix fan as well. I wish everything best to you. :)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who reacts to this video this way. It gets me every time. Thank you for sharing your humility and vulnerability with us. This reaction was really special.
Your reaction to this song was the most touching that I have ever seen and I have to agree with you that this song and the way it is sung but all of these amazing artists is one of the best songs I have ever heard.. I listen to it over and over again and it still touches my soul. Thank you for your heartfelt reaction.
Brian Justin Crum was in AGT 2016. You need to listen to his version of creep, had me in tears the whole way through. He is an amazingly talented singer who has battled bullying and hatred but with the help and support of his mother has come through like a knight in shinning armour.
Perfect summation of Rise by Super Fruit. There are no words to adequately describe their talent or their ability to make a deep, visceral emotional connection with the listener.
A beautiful reaction..... I am an ally and have many friends and family who are LGBTQ... Suicide is so high in this group of teens and I pray this lifts up even one to know they are not alone.
I completely agree with you. The beautiful reaction you let us see while watching it, is the same we feel each time we see or hear it. It's beautiful on so many levels.
Thanks, Rob. The song performed by these 5 extremely talented artists has made me cry every time I hear it, but your reactions made me sob! Also, I didn't know their reason for performing this together and that makes me love all of you even more!
I'm sitting here weeping. Well said Rob. It is definitely one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. loved the little heart at the end of your reaction. So much emotion, not enough words. Beautiful.
This song was the first time i heard Superfruit. And where i totally fell i love with Mitch and his voice. And that was the beginning of my love for Superfruit and Pentatonix ❤️❤️
I'm super late to this, but somehow I'm just now finding this one. Rob, I'm so glad you took a chance and created your channel. Otherwise none of us would have gotten the pleasure of "knowing" you. You have to be one of the most beautiful souls on this planet. Thank you!
The Pentaholic community is the most accepting I've ever seen. Even as an "older" fan. Aren't you going to a show soon? I always make new friends at shows. I'm going to Georgia and Michigan.
Sabrina, you are absolutely right. I want to get to know more of us. I watched some of the Pentacon videos and wondered how everyone knows everyone else, lol. Is there a Pentaholics forum I don't know about? Seeing the love and friendships in those videos made me wish I had been there. I am going in 6 weeks and two days... but who's counting? lol (this guy!) I can't wait to meet more Pentaholics!
I just found your channel after watching Rise for the gazillionth time and then watching all the reaction video's and you ... you made me cry and smile at the same time. Thank you for that. You seem such a kind, honest, genuine person - you've got another subscriber!
I have watched their video several times just to re-watch or to watch others react this is the first time I have ever cried. The minute you started to tear up I couldn't handle it.
I was so happy when I saw you uploaded this video. LOVE LOVE LOVE how honest your reactions are and how you don't just listen to the music and lyrics but FEEL it. Thank you!
i've been waiting for this! this is definitely my favorite music video from superfruit, I love the message and all the people in it are so amazingly talented it gives me chills every time I listen to it. also loved the little speech you did at the start and I agree completely, this community is so amazing, it's like we are all a big family and I couldn't love it more❤️
I agree, I think this has shot straight to the top of my list of favorite Superfruit songs. I recommend watching some of the Pentacon videos, if you haven't. They really gave me a sense of how wonderful this community is!
I am obsessed with this video I can watch it over and over and over again and never get tired of it. It is one of the most beautiful performances I've ever heard. I'm grateful that I have been able to experience it. It's just flat out amazing in my opinion. And what a touching reaction you had!
I first heard this song when Voices of Service did a version when they auditioned for AGT. When I looked for it on RUclips, I heard Superfruit do this version. My reaction was exactly the same as yours... except for adding the word "WOW" first. I loved seeing someone who shared my feelings exactly 💜💙
Hey Rob, I am a very big fan of you and what you do and I think that this world is absolutely blessed to have a man like you in it. You're such a genuine soul and you bring a rejuvenating breath of air that people desperately need. I know you most likely won't read this or respond, but if you do, I just wanted to let you know how much of an inspiration you've been to me. Thank you for your amazing work........and one last thing.........if it's not to much to ask of you, because I know that your a busy man, I would absolutely love to see you react or simply watch a very unknown but phenomenal artist by the name of Löic Nottet. He is a Belgian singer, right around the age of 19 - 20 and needs to be recognized. His vocal range is absolutely astonishing and the messages that he conveys in his songs are beautiful and charismatic. So please just give him a look. He's worth every second.
Rob! My goodness. You're reaction is so authentic and heartfelt. Many other reactioners edit out their raw strong emotions to music. This is what great music is about. A connection. A primal response. Anger, sadness, joy, love, hate. Whatever it is, you feel it. The right chords, melody, timing, any of these things can trigger a link between you and the song. Never let that go. To allow yourself to be open to that rush of emotion without inhibitions is rare and the fact that you do this in a public forum shows me that you are confident in who you are as a person. This is the first time I have watched one of your reactions. I will be watching more and more of your videos in the future. Thanks a lot!
MITCH CALLED YOU AN ANGEL AND TWEETED YOUR VIDEO OMG!!!!
And that's why I'm here

I'm glad you're here ♥

I lost my friend at Orlando Pulse nightclub mass shooting, it was the worst day of my life. I miss him every day. He was only 25. So thank you so much for doing this. It means a lot. Adra Bloodstone thats okay Adra. :) We've all lost someone. :(
I am so sorry for your loss of your friend. It is a rough and cruel world but there are good people with good hearts. I wish you well.
Thank you! Sometimes a reaction is just listening and feeling ♥
this cinnamon roll needs to be protected, goodness me. be safe out there, hunnnnn

Your face every time Mitch sings is a visual representation of my heart.

Thank you for sharing your reaction Rob, it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one so moved emotionally! Love your reaction!!!
Thanks, Teri. I think Mary Lambert pushed me over the edge, lol!

Someone give this guy a hug 💕❤️💕❤️
Anybody else just want to give Rob a big ol' hug?
Scott's blonde swoop hair style is on point in this video.

Perfect summation of Rise by Super Fruit. There are no words to adequately describe their talent or their ability to make a deep, visceral emotional connection with the listener.
With out a doubt one of the most real, heartfelt reactions i have seen to this cover.

**crying uncontrollably** That was the same reaction I had the first time I watched it. So powerful it took my breath away.
That face you make when Mitch starts singing...like you've just heard an angel. So cute! I stopped the video right then to comment, LOL
I'm so glad you loved this. I've been watching it every day for two weeks and I still get chills and tears. What a powerful song with powerful voices
Came back to view.. I needed to. So beautiful, angelic, your sweet soul shines brighter than all the stars... Never a more pure reaction. 🙏💞🕊️🙇♀️🥰
this was so pure. you just keep reacting rob
This was a beautiful reaction.A song as powerful as this should mean to a lot of people and I bet it does.Music heals everything.
Just discovered this song...glad to see i wasnt the only one to cry.
AW ROB :( your reactions are so genuine and cute
So happy you got noticed by Mitch!!!
Thank you, Katie!
