I have both the 2020 and 2021 Blu Rays - both great, but this one is even more spectacular. They are a lot more interactive than in 2020's Five of a Kind. Miyako lets her musicianship speak for itself. And it speaks volumes. She just has a different, maybe more introverted personality than, say, Midori, and who cares? They're both off-the-charts badass, cool, and likable (as are the rest of the members).
This is their most popular song and you can see why - they absolutely killed it on this track and had fun at the same time. The hug by Miyako on Midori was charming. And give it up for Asami for jumping off the platform in 4 inch high heels there at the end.
Miyako being so quiet and still is an act. In the past with other bands she was very active and outgoing on stage. She says she does it to counter how lively Midori (the other guitarist) is. I don't really get it, but hey, it's Miyako and she can do whatever the fuck she wants as a musical genius. Also, she was around 5 months pregnant at the time of this recording :D

Audiences were seated in chairs to maintain social distance under the Covid-rules, were limited in number, and were allowed to clap their hands. From that place, Asami said, "It was very painful for a year when I couldn't hold a concert." "I talked about breaking up the band many times." Actually Miyako was always quite animated in older video's. Some songs she smiles,winks and head bangs but othe songs she is more compose. Midori on the other hand is a Olympian on the Stage. Always moving,jumping,smiling and snarling and in heels that are Ridiculous.
This performance is playing at a faster tempo than the live performance in 2020. Asami sings with a long high tone voice, and Haruna kicks the double pedal accurately at an astonishing speed even though it is the last song of the live. The music and initial arrangement for “Holy War” were created by Mao, before the band made quite a few changes to the latter during recording. For the first time the lyrics were credited to LoveBites as a whole, as all 5 members threw In ideas. 🐺🤘
Such a pity that fans were only permitted to applaud, due to Covid restrictions. Under normal conditions, that hall would have gone berserk, with a show ending like that.
I don't get criticism of Asami's voice (apart from the wide vibrato she sometimes uses, that's not my thing). She is the best Japanese metal singer I've heard. Easily. Range, power, color, all there.
Really the only Japanese singer who's in her league from a vocal talent standpoint is Masotoshi Ono from Galneryus, & that dude is an absolute legend, not to mention nearly 1 1/2 times to twice her age (I think he's around 55 by now).

People who critize Lovebites are jelous and envy which is totaly understandible because they are best metal band in the last 20 years for sure. All other metal bands (no matter the genre) want to be on this level but like 80% of all of them just cant. Dedication to their art. Miyako is 3 to 4 months pregnant and for 2 hours a relentless, flawless show. They really are 2nd to none in class
