Tom, I'm now in the second stage of moving back to Vancouver Island from Atlanta and I am looking into the best construction techniques for the antenna farm. I fondly recall running the NE phased beverage system with you back in the day prior to one of the CQ 160 tests so nice to see all of the mechanical considerations you applied as we went along. Plans are for two 120' towers and low band systems on 5 acres. Thanks for putting out this video. 73, Jim VE7ZO
Hi, Tom! Long time no see! I visited your antenna farm about fifteen years ago and was quite impressed! My call sign at the time was KI4DOK (now AI4IJ). Nice to see you on RUclips! 73!
Hi Tom, great video, nice farm!! Do you have a link of those pre-amp boards on your multiplex panel? If not something similar? I was researching about small LOG type antennas for my yard, and came across your video by chance. Would love to see a brief video about your multiplex panel. Thanks for sharing! 73
Thanks, Tom. How long a run of 17ga electric fence wire would you run without support? I have a field about 400’ wide and wonder how many supports I need in between (i have lots of electric fence wire available). Thank you KM6FZD
The fence wire (or bare copperweld wire) I use has a very good strength to weight ratio. My antennas easily support with rigid steel conduit "prop poles" and PVC insulator stubs, or convenient trees, every 200 feet or so. Generally I pull an entire antenna span tight and then prop at points needed. Understand we rarely have ice down here so ice not a consideration. I also use a pole where wires cross to make sure they remain separated. I generally prop the top wire and hang the lower wire with UV and weather resistant nylon cording that is used for netting.
Tom I appreciate the time you took to put this together. Thank you.
Thank you!
Thanks, Tom. The community has been missing(and needing) you. 73 Val
Thanks Val, great to hear from you! Hope you are well.
Thanks, Tom. A lot of grief can be avoided by watching this! Mike, NE8P
Thanks Mike!
Impressive shack feed line runs and some great techniques Tom!

Thanks for these tips!
Thanks for the video.
Many thanks for sharing all your knowledge. Your beverages will works well over the ground (BOG setup)? Hope to hook you on the air. 73 from Spain.
Very nice video. Thank you

Very good, thanks
Thanks a lot Tom,

I wish I had the real estate for a couple of beverages. I may try the shared APEX antenna system some day. Al W1VTP
I'm going to try to build a Dr. Pepper antenna.
Forrest Gump would approve.
