This helped a lot thank you. Your technique was visible and really helped. Perhaps a voice over to clarify the angles of strokes with the mud knife? I realize you cannot tell how much pressure is being applied in the video and I couldn't figure that out from the texture on the wall. Thank you again!

Have you checked any mold behind the drywall?
Is it worth it to use any waterproofing materials along the shower?
Waterproofing only blocks moisture not continuous wetting from leak from shower door
You made that look easy. Was the sponge damp?
To slick out hot muds yes damp sponge needed
Is there a list of all the products used? We have this damage, and we want to fix it ASAP. Hubs is learning to be handy. I'm not sure of what all the items used are. Great demonstration! Thank you.

What was the red spray? Was it Flex Seal? I think you did a light coat on just the screws. Thanks!
It's spray glue to tack hold fiberglass tape not needed optional trade trick hold drywall fiberglass joint tape in place
We have the same damage but it goes around the corner of the wall. How advice on fixing this?

What do you need to do a fix like this? I have 3 small holes I need to patch by my bathtub and shower.
I have 100 plus videos on channel shows the process of patching and materials being used make a list or just hire sombody if u don't know what to buy then u should hire somebody to do it
My shower has the same issue. I think I need to re-caulk it again.
yep clean out old silicone 1st then recaulk it'
have razor blade old stuff out and then clean with vinegear before doing new clear silicon
dontt caulk over bad caulk have to clean out old stuff for best re seal
@@drywallrepairman you recommend clear silicone like for aquarium use? Even the high quality white seems to mold for me.
I have a question so when I bought my home I had damage in the same area fast forward 2 years just this month I’ve notice water damage to my baseboards and flooding in next room which is behind tub wall , can that be happening because I’ve never fixed this first issue?

@@drywallrepairman yes there is a shower door next to it. U don’t think that there is a pipe leakage or anything of that sort? And how do u stop it from happening again

How do I know how thick of a drywall I need to purchase
measure depth of hole, most interior is 1/2 inch garages and apts usually have 5/8 u have to measure thickness.
@@drywallrepairman thanks for the response. I have a flange coming out from behind my fiberglass tub. Is the drywall supposed to go behind that. My drywall literally crumbled when I pulled the old paint off so I'm not sure if it went behind or on top of the flange
flange drywall goes up to flange then we prefill and tape over flange gape, if u sheetrock over flange it will stick out buldge out- gooffy design
