    I hope INSIDE the cieling was dried properly from water damage. This is the issue now a days that create mold especially with the cheaper materials mold and moisture feed on.

      I had a small wet area in the ceiling, but the drywall still seems solid, is it okay to just scrape, patch and prime and paint IF i let it fully dry? I also plan to use those mold blocking/stain covering primer too

    I will have to get repairs contractors to check mine in New Year from my Land Lord. I think I have a damp patch. I could not do this myself. We live in a flat and have a resident living above us..I am not even sure if its damp as have no experience or knowledge with this sorta thing..

      @@DIYeasycrafts worked like a charm, flat patch on the first try. Doesn’t look as good as your work but still for me, is miraculous! IMO this is much like art or painting, your expertise requires unique talent and skilled with the hands in my opinion & not everyone can do it. Appreciate your help in explaining it so well, found it very valuable! Also if you did the video on wet sanding, helped make it much easier than the sanding process.

    This is absolutely wrong for so many reasons. You do not leave water impregnated sheetrock up. You remove every area that is stained. There are a hundred competent videos on repairing water damaged areas of sheetrock. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!

      @@trevinrekve5569Wouldn't water damaged be susceptible to mold? Why risk it?

    We’re you concerned about mold at all

    • @sheduntno
      @sheduntno Год назад +4

      Its actually a great quick temp fix until you can get a pro in. As far as mold goes, you just set up a dehumidifier for a day after you open it up to really dry it out. You can always spray it with some simple green before you tape and spackle if concerned. That will retard mold growth for awhile.
