I stumbled on that video in a RUclips or Google search, probably about GMRS linking. Initially I think I was just jealous that this group got all those FCC people. Well, I still am. But it slowly dawned on me how momentous and perhaps unprecedented this was, and how important many of the things being said were, essentially to just a small group of hams at a luncheon. Fortunately, it ended up on RUclips, where relatively few people have seen it. If only another 300 or 400 people see it here, our average view count, that will be a shame. This version or the original should be seen by every act of ham out there. K4AAQ
No one ever challenges the FCC, why not ? How can you receive a fine from any agency without the right to have a hearing ? What about the 5th and 14th amendments, due process, and equal justice. Doesn’t anybody ever challenge this regulatory body ?
You didn't watch the video, did you? Because if you did, you'd have seen Laura Smith detail the enforcement steps, including hearings and judges and appeals at 25:32. The process does seem to be reversed from other legal proceedings (indicted, trial, sentence), but the protections are still there.
@@HamRadioNowYes, I watched the entire video. She talks about appealing long after steps have been taken against the accused. Just because the regulatory body says it’s legal doesn’t mean it’s been tested or exposed.
@@bulldogbrower6732 - You asked "How can you receive a fine from any agency without the right to have a hearing ?" Plenty of opportunity for appeal before having to pay any fine. If you don't like the way the system works, take it up with your Senators or Congressional Rep.
Thanks for the work. I wasn't aware of the meeting and video.
