- Today I'm going to walk through how to clean an air fryer basket essentially how to clean the Power Air Fryer XL fry basket! Now that people have had their power air fryer xl for a while, how to deep clean an air fryer basket is on everyone's mind, and they need to know how to clean an air fryer quick! The lesson is, don't get lazy with your air fryer and clean it regular so it doesn't get so bad you need a deep clean.

I scrubbed a little with the baking soda/ vinegar/Dawn mixture and hot water while my water boiled, and it was already starting to come clean. I thought my basket was a goner!! why won't my baked on grease come off my basket! i have tried every method on the internet including this and it's still bogging! i'm following the tips exactly as described! all i've managed to do is waste 2 boxes of baking soda and lots of dish soap! 😩😭

They have that Dawn spray now. Probably would be better for this application and less waste of your dish soap 🥰 thanks for the instructions! We just got a new one for Christmas and it's already looking gross. It was expensive and I want to keep it in good condition!

Thanks for sharing. This was helpful, I also spray a tiny bit of oil on some food stuff inside the basket and although I clean it regularly there was a build up of burnt on grease

Dawn dish detergent comes in a spray bottle and I use scrub buddies and hot water every time I use mine it is a bit labor intensive but worth it love mine

When it look like that, you use the following steps:
1) Completely dis-assemble (handle, screws, etc.) The screws are small so get a small glass bowl or coffee mug and put your screws and handle, etc. in the glass dish.
2) Spray with heavy duty oven cleaner and let sit 4-8 hours. Completely foam it up. Spray the handle and the brass too. Its best to do original spraying outside or in a well-ventilated area.
3). After the 4-8 hours, completely rinse all the pieces off. Make sure any residue from the oven cleaner is off.
4) Follow your steps with the boiling hot water, baking soda, and distilled white vinegar combo. Add the brass pieces, handle etc., to the glass bowl or coffee mug. They get the same treatment as the deep fryer, but they dont need as much time. 20 mins to and hour should be good enough. Give a good rinse and use a toothbrush for built up gunk in small spaces.
5) Dry most moisture by hand or with a microfiber clothe. Remaining let sit out to air dry in a well-ventilated area. These steps prevent the brass from rusting.
I love a good air fryer. It's definitely a great way to reheat foods that lose their crispyness. 😂 Awesome video! ☺️

Just try, Frozen veggies like French fries 🍟 and other foods often have oil on it. Just put in the fryer without oil and it will be great
Hello Miss Tracey I thought the air fryer get up with a device made so you don't have to use oils and I use those SOS pads on mine and they work wonders because due to my high blood pressure now I have to use those are Flyers because they don't really want me to fry fry anymore so I found an alternative with the air fryer line is a different brand than yours would they all pretty much do the same thing I might is a NuWave Brio air fryer watch like I said they all do the same so that's what I do with mine and I soak it in hot dish water sometimes as well with a little Donna Lupo Mall of whatever that I have at the time and use that SOS pad and it works wonders so thanks for the video again as always say love you and your family

I knw tht if you place a lemon 🍋 inside of it as the same of a microwave for a few minutes the lemon will act as an inside degreaser itself...Maybe I'll try tht too for the inside too of the air fryer..
I have the same kind as what you just cleaned. I was so amazed, I watched the video twice and subscribed to your channel. Unfortunately, not the basket itself, but what you sit the basket into doesn't look good as I probably used an abrasive to clean. Would you know where I could get a replacement one to where the cost would be cheaper than having to buy a whole new unit? I have accessories for mine and would hate to not be able to use them. Let me know if you have an answer or not. Thank you! I look forward to cleaning my basket now!!

Turn upside down gently so you can wipe it down gently also- be sure to unplug first 👍🏽

Hi there I used to work on aircraft and my job was to remove the tar from the runway stuck and caked all over the bottom and the under side of the aircraft and too do that you need to understand what sort of chemicals work with the right materials and methods that your getting wrong having watched this video so let me give you a tip and a good bit of advice use washing up liquid that is specifically designed to break down fat oils etc because washing up liquid is a degreaser and it works exactly the same as the chemical's used to break down oil slicks at sea where ship disasters have happened spilling thousands of ton's of crude oil into the ocean killing wildlife okay trust me it really works put the washing up liquid into the part's and fill with boiling water because the heat of the water will also soften and melt down the fat oils etc okay

@@traciesplace give it a try Tracy and let me know how you get on okay if you can put the washing up liquid on the metal neat straight from the bottle first by rubbing it in to the fat oils etc okay and leave it for a few minutes before using water okay and also another tip for you when using paint brushes with oil paint you have to stand the brush in a tin of white spirit to break down the paint to clean the brushs okay but if you wash your brushes afterwards in washing up liquid the liquid break's down the White spirit for stripping paint off the brush and returning it back to clean water leaving you with brand new clean brushes and that's how the chemical used for sea disasters to break down oil slicks and returning everything back to clean water again okay give it a try Tracy

When I need to clean my oven I don't Go around to the shop's and buy all these fancy chemical's used for cleaning oven s that are also very expensive to buy i just use washing up liquid too it and it works every time saving me a fortune on tin oven cleaner s plus most of them don't work anyway just a money making scam too rip people off

Omg you should see mine, its like black all over now. Ive tried this method but it didnt clean it - never let it soak overnight. I never use any oil when cooking most of my food, just a small amount if i make wedges.

Do not mix vinegar and baking soda when cleaning. They neutralize each other and make water. Anyone who is combining baking soda and vinegar doesn't understand the cleaning action of either

it feels like i've tried every single cleaning tip on the internet to get my air fryer clean (baked on grease) and all i've managed to do is waste 2 pots of baking soda and a lot of dish soap and vinegar! ive tried hot water and dish soap, baking soda, vinegar, and every combination of them as advised and it's no better than it was to begin with! if anyone got any other ideas i'm all ears!? 😩🙏🏻
Try to find the model of the fryer and look for a replacement basket.

I just cleaned one of these and it almost looks like brand new now it was so disgusting you couldn't even see the coils or the fan I'm fixing to do a video to show you how to clean it up and make it work and smell like brand new again
