I wish I had the money and time to look over all of that! I’ve been thinking of those discharges and looking at the water quality (nutrients and runoff) besides looking at the farm side of things. If Someone is going to do any kind of algae or kelp farming, you have to look at everything from an overhead view, from the farms, Lake Okeechobee, St. Lucie rivers, neighborhoods, and so forth. That problem is Literally a Goldmine for anyone that wants to farm algae, besides help the water quality of the neighboring areas
My family does not want to come back to Ft Myers Beach due to the gulf looking like sewer water. Army Corps should due a better timing of their releases.
Just keep the locks slightly ajar all year long and that fixes the problem. The Corp has no clue what they are doing. And stop spraying Lake O, the spraying should be 1/3 of what they are doing now. The Corp is ruining the Lake. SAD!!
They always wait until hurricane season. They think the hurricanes will disperse the bad water and flush it out into the ocean. Wonder why all the fish are acting weird.
