I'm the current high bidder and have absolutely no illusions about buying this car for $52500 plus fees, its worth bundles more as any sane person would agree. But you have to be in it to win it, that's my experience anyway. Im baffled who would buy this .Cant be registered or used and already someone elses show car that has done the rounds of shows it will always be someones elses car. Great show piece but i cannot think of why you would buy it and what do you do with it? No doubt these mysterious bidders will bid it up but I would think there are very very few genuine people that would spend big money buying , storing and insuring something so useless to sit in their back shed.
I'd give them 5 grand. Gotta ship it to Sydney, then strip it. Pitty it's auto. Engine has to be gone through, if you intend using it. Diff, brakes, front suspention, not much left after that. Front and rear glass is getting hard to find now.
This car might have started out as a HR Ute but there's almost nothing left of the original car. If you like HR utes this wont appeal to alot of people. I can certainly appreciate the massive amount of time and work involved but I really don't like it, not as an HR Ute..
Any ideas what it will fetch ?

Lots of people buy show cars, investors, collectors or people that want a show car but don’t want to go through the process of building one
