I always loved this tune. Fun, quirky, and beautifully sung as always from Holly. An absolute legend of a man.
What a voice he has, I think it's up there with the likes of Mercury

It always amazes me at just how much optimism existed in 80's mainstream pop culture - music, television, films. The decade had its own problems obviously, but back then there seemed to be a greater sense of people pulling together and overcoming things.
These days there's very little differentiation between ongoing issues and mainstream content. Everything now seeps in together and that sense of genuine escapism is long gone.

Holly is my favorite artist l always liked Frankie and i never knew that he did this little golden gem, but I love it, I'm 77, years old and i can't, go on with my day without, viewing the video several times a day, i even got my wife listening along with me!!

Love love love the new remastered version Holly 😍 I loved this song, music, lyrics and video already. But the remastering makes it seem like it’s just been produced in the 2020’s! I can’t believe this was from the 80’s. Loved it then and love it now. A timeless classic ❤️

I love the Blast! album. Not only does it have some poppy songs but Heaven's Here and Feel Good are beautiful songs.
Now. This is truly genius.This song have followed me around ever since the 80:ies. and it's a great parody of the so called "American way of Life" (whatever that is..). But now I realize tt it is just as much a tribute and love declaration to America and all it's wicked aspects. Truly genius Holly Johnson! I love it! First off, I wanna dedicate this song to my new found financial freedom, therefore I just paid off my newly revamped house in full earlier this year in 2023 at the age of 40 years old, and I'm now rejoicing by way of laughing and crying sweet tears of joy.
I am so proud to be in America.
All is right in my life.

Been searching for this song for years! Only had the "Americanos" part stuck in my head - no other lyrics to search on and couldn't find it anywhere - had to wait for You Tube to be invented LOL! Saw and heard this first in 1989 sitting in a bar in Fuengirola, Spain. Great fun. I even tweeted Holly once about it and he answered. Said that the band did it for "a bit of fun"
