First of all I love all of your videos and secondly you are the only gardening youtube channel who make videos with updates which is awesome. I too have a pink Hydrangea plant and its blooming very well..recently I bought one more Hydrangea plant which is purple in colour. But after few days it started to bloom pink flowers.
Thank you So much for your kind words, really appreciated! Glad to know your plants are blooming well. Unfortunately, that's a common problem and happens with me too. It happens because the soil is not acidic enough. We get blue flowers on Acidic soil and Pink in Alkaline soil. My soil is sandy type..n it's too hard to make them acidic. Still, I am working on it and hope to get a giant Blue Color Hydrangea :-) To make acidic, we can use Vinegar, Aluminium Sulphate, Alum etc..
I'm gaining lot of knowledge on hydrangeas from your videos,as I've bought 3 new plants of it. Very helpful videos!! Can you also show how you cut the blooms once done on smooth leaf hydrangea please 🙏
The plant is very much in my wish list as any garden lover covets. But in view of the fact that every year I lose 75% of soft plants due to White Ant Fly attack amd this time too, I am unable add such lovely beautiful plants. The more I kill this pest, the double in number they emerge. I use pesticide like Rogor or Nuvan with soap/shampoo solution so that on application, they get stuck on the leaf surface. Most of them die but somehow some of them manage to escape and fly high and come back again on the leaf undersurface. Haven't tried Imidacloprid yet like confidor or imidacloprid containing miticide Oberon. I am highly disappointed and disheartened with this chronic problem since the last 4-5 years. For the same reason I fail maintaining a well flourishing hibiscuses. Please address the problem and advice. Thanks for sharing such an informative presentation on a masterpiece of beauty with a totally new concept of soyabean. 👌👌👌👌👌👌💐💐💐💐💐💐👍👍👍👍
Wonderful plants & excellent explanation. I have a few hydrangeas too in my collection. No flowering so far. I just want to know,if we can grow new plants from the pruned branches.

Thank you for this video Sir!! I love Hydrangeas too. Whenever I look at them, a smile creeps on my face. I have a question Sir, Can we put only the Soyabean alone ??
You are most welcome and glad to know you love Hydrangeas. Sure, we can as it contains lots of things like Protein, Phosphorus and many other Micro-nutrients. But, adding few Bone meal or Rock phosphate would provide bit better result. Good luck and Sir is not required actually :-)
Thank you So much for your words! As of now, I have tested on Hydrangea and it worked nicely. Theoretically saying, we can use it as an alternative. But, I still need to do some more test on other plants and already it's work in progress. Soon, I would share the results. Hope, it works just like Mustard cake powder as it's not available everywhere and many ask me for alternatives.
@Suvarna kadekar, Hmm...I know, not available in all places, specially offline. But, online it's available. Bone meal alt - Rock Phosphate, Sea weed extract - now a days, it's almost available in all places. Brand can be different one. Plus, instead of this, any other Micro-nutrients fertilizer can be used. Thank you!
Thank you so much , i always learn a lot from you . I live in Portugal, and we have a strong winter. How to protect my hydrangeas in pots during that time ?
You can...but wondering why you would like to do that..May be you would like to enjoy the blooms near window or something like that! In that case, you can consider growing one more plant from cutting and keep the mother plant in ground. Just sharing my thought..as plants need less maintenance while growing in ground directly. Thank you!
@@GardeningUpbeat thanks for the quick response...is it possible to grow hydrangea from cuttings on the ground too...then I must create a cluster of them
Thanks for the informative videos you share. Can we use sea weed extract in liquid form and in what quantity. Also, what is the amount of rock phosphate to be used?
You are most welcome and thank you for your feedback. Sure, we can use them too. Seaweed extract - 5ml in 1 liter water. Rock Phosphate - 25-30 grams for one 8-10 inch pot. 1 teaspoon = 5 grams and if your plant is very new, please use only 15-20 grams.
Thank you for the informative video. I have a question. I had bought a hydrangea (maroon flowers) last year. But this time the blooms have changed colour. is it because of the soil? Any tips?
Ms Anuradha, hydrangeas are known to change colour or keep a particular colour depending on the PH of the soil! If you want blue hydrangea blooms, you need to acifify the soil. And the best way to acidify is by adding aluminum sulphate to soil (alum). Alternatively to obtain pink flowers, you need to add lime or dolomite to the soil. But it'll take time to alter the soil ph. Hope this helps! Good luck with your hydrangeas.
No, please don't worry! They are not dead and they can be revived by doing few simple things. I have already shared this in one of my recent videos and please watch this - ruclips.net/video/z9URKUxaWQ0/видео.html
@Debabrata i am, Many were asking me about a good alternatives to Mustard cake powder. It's not available in many places and I use Mustard cake heavily. So, other testings are going on and I would only recommend only if I get good results [I would upload more videos soon]. On Hydrangea, it worked really well and difference is visible if we compare the results of 2021 and 2022. I hope, it would work on other plants too as both have almost same characteristics..In fact, I believe, it would give much better results! So, please wait for my more videos or in the meantime, you can try applying on other plants too. If you share the results with me, it would be shortcut for me..he he.. (just kidding)
Theoretically we can..but still, I m testing it on many other plants. If I get good results at least on next 4-5 variety plants, I would recommend. Sir is not required actually n please feel free to call me Mr. Gardening Upbeat or Chandan, Thank you 😊

Sure, you can. But, please apply based on the size of the pot and age of the plants. I applied 50 grams and pot is 16 inch. For new plants, please decrease the dose (like 10-15 grams for a 8-10 inch pot and for new plant). Good luck :-)

@@GardeningUpbeat bro I've got alot of hibiscus plants cuz I love hibiscus alot. But all of them does not bloom well. Some bloom fine but some does not bloom at all. @Vishal Marimuthu, Good to know you love Hibiscus a lot, me too. See, there are many varieties and few hybrid varieties doesn't bloom all the time. Mostly, because of high temp issue. Many are not native to our place and they bloom when temp is somewhat low. One similar example - The multi petaled Hibiscus doesn't bloom well when temp is too high (July-August in my place). But, they start to bloom again when temp come down a bit. As your some plants are already blooming, I don't think you are doing anything wrong. But still, I would try to give some more inputs in my coming video. There are also few imp things that we need to do at right time. For example, pruning, fertilizing etc. Sure, I would give the updates of my plants. Black spot - fungal disease and please use fungicide. SAAF can be used and dose is 2 grams in 1 liter water. Good luck :-)
