Your Sumo videos motivated me to contact our sumo federation and now I'll attempt German Sumo tournaments with my MMA team next year. Thanks for the great content.
What Seth doesn’t realise is that he’s the nucleus of martial arts RUclipsrs - if I had to draw out a Venn diagram of martial arts RUclipsrs they all intersect through Seth. Stephen Thompson Icy Mike Josh Beam Jesse Enkamp Kevin Lee …the list goes on …and on the common denominator and, at least to the outsider, how everyone knows each other is Seth and his ability to connect people. For me he’s the martial arts RUclipsrs RUclipsr.
I'm coming from the new Sensei Seth vid of Sumo at your school, but I'm here for it all! Great questions, great discussions, I can't believe this channel has never come up in my feed before, but atleast I have a ton of content to catch up on. 🥳
It’s nice to see Seth’s progress in martial arts and see that he wasn’t destroyed like last time he visited Shintaro’s dojo. Shintaro’s background in wrestling and other martial arts is also impressive. また宜しくお願いします。
I love sumo and recently started judo. I didnt know sensei seth was serious about sumo i thought it was content thats amazing to know. Its hard for me to be taken down to lol
I believe it originally was content, or at least just idle curiousity, but then he fell in love with it ig to a point that he‘s now almost more of a serious sumotori than karateka.
A mawashi will not kill a washing machine. I wash mine after every 3-5 practices. The annoying part is waiting for it to dry when the weather is too cold or too wet to hang it outside
I remember subscribing to this channel like 2 years ago because of a short video explaining a throw I wanted to learn for MMA, I'm now about a month away from my first fight, watching the karate kid that made "ha ha funny karate try Fighting" videos talking to Judo guy about winning his first Sumo Nationals. 2 years are a long time if you ask me.
Well this isn't what I expected, but it's cool. It is entertaining to watch Seth explore different sports/arts. I can confirm that in Finland the sport is literally translated as sumo wrestling. I got really excited to watch you guys do sumo listening to this discussion. It's funny how you can get excited about something just by listening to people who are excited about something. This was such a good chat. I feel like everyone I know who has master's is somehow silly and has bad humour. But maybe that's just because who I am.
Thanks for having me!!

You’re doing a great job highlighting different styles. Thanks for that.

And then we have Houston jones who connects them to the gun side of RUclips. Seth is only 2 degrees of separation away from the slo mo guys!
@@zonk834 Now that popped a brain wave in my mind! Did the Slo mo guys ever do anything Martial Arts related? Could be fun...
Where does kevin lee fit into all this?
@@zonk8341 degree of separation from the future director of the ATF
Super well put.
Funnily enough, it was Sensei Seth’s video with you back then that influenced me to do Judo at KBI lmao. Happy to see this collab.
Great stuff. Can’t wait to see the Shintaro v Seth sumo bout!
The collab that I never thought that I knew I needed until now! Much love to Shintaro and Seth🥋🔥❤️
They did one YEAAAAAAARS ago with Brian Glick. It was hilarious!
Sumo needs to be bigger for sure and accessible to all weight classes!
It already exists. It's called judo.
I'm not even joking.
International Sumo has weight classes already

Awesome to see the two of you doing this! I was one of the people who requested a sumo vs judo video on Seth's instagram story lol
That’s nice to see you both collaborating again

i've only seen Shintaro in Seth's videos, but damn, that guy must be in the top 1% of coolest people on the planet 😂
I love these interviews and exchange of knowledge. This is great brotherhood and martial artist respect, good budo

Awesome conversation. Made me happy to hear that you guys liked sanctuary too lol
Higashi sensei needs to do the USDC… college wrestler, karate black belt and Judo 6 Dan…. sounds a lot like MMA to me
Rokas said Higashi isn’t going to participate
@@timelesswarriorsVery disappointing. Would have been so cool.
@@ranfan1820previous health issues and related limitations keeps him from taking part.
👍
Oh I'm excited for this content.

What an collab
What was the part at 4:35 ? What did his dad say? The audio is messed up
That and a dollar will get you a pack of gum
Most surprising fact, shintaro is 210. For some reason I thought he’d be much heavier, he’s so jacked.
I see what you did there! (Higashi crocs)
Guys that don’t wash their belt always end up giving someone a “dirty sanchez” with their belt while grappling.
He didn't say he doesn't wash it he just said it doesn't fit on the washing machine
@@cahallo5964 that is in reference to Shintaro talking about judo and BJJ belts
I wanna see the sumo match between them now.
hiya!
Starts video with talk about sub count…so relatable. Time to unsubscribe then if bragging about numbers matters more in the opener than anything else.
