Thank You for taking the video of my Ferguson 30. Sure would like to have sold it but did not want to be that far in the hole on cost of the redo. Have others in the shop in process of restoration including a Farmall 230 that will be nice when done.
@@FarmallFanatic The 230 has been here since 2006 . In the shop getting a complete grill to drawbar redo, fresh engine, all new head parts due to moisture from sitting so long , all Clevite parts $$$ ( parts bought before they stopped making tractor engine parts ), it has standard crank in it ! It is a local greenhouse find that was headed for Burgh's. Could not let a 230 go to Burgh,s. Sat 7 years behind a greenhouse , engine was tight and broke loose loading it on trailer. Fast hitch. Tins straight as a pin. Local Mars tractor . Low hours, Used around small farm and greenhouse. What ever it needs it is getting. Plows and 7 ft mowing machine came with it. Maybe l'll keep it , getting attached to it. Cool looking 230 maybe run it thru the auction to see what happens . 3/4 done just need to get back at it to finish. The goal was to take it to Portersville this year , we will see.
That was a good looking Ferguson, always thought I'd get mine fixed up like that. Sent it on down the road last year, too many projects not enough time.
Ferguson was way better than Ford but people have the love affair for the 8N. More after market parts. You are right they never had a decent swing draw bar to swing out of the way of the mounted plow coulter. Seen people hook to the top link hookup on the tractor and flip it over. The one I saw he jumped clear. After I yelled at him if he could jump off he could have stepped on the clutch. I like that C with a big man's seat. I was always scared of hanging over the rear of the platform.
I'm going to join everyone else in congratulations on the super C !, a fair price. I really liked that Ferguson too ! Someone got a real deal on the H !
@@FarmallFanatic I guess you could still get the Ferguson, owner really doesn't want that much ! You'd probably have to put it in a separate shed though ! They are a really handy tractor.
Looks like a good solid Super C. Ford 6610 72 hp we had a brand new one with a cab in 1989. Farmall 706 diesel would out work it but the Ford was first cab tractor nice in the winter. Both tractors had 18.4x34 on threat with weights.

We had a tractor just like that Ford 5000. It was our loader tractor for a few years. Good ol tractors. I probably would have bought that H. Anytime they are under 1k they are worth it. Another super C looks like a pretty good little tractor. Congrats
Nice buy! That’s pretty exciting. I thought you were going to throw everyone through a loop and buy the fergie which was well done. I know the Croll Mills auctioneer from my family’s draft horse days but his name escapes me. Our place is in Butler, pretty cool.
Those little Deeres were sold at agricultural dealerships and had a Wisconsin Robin in them. I think some had a Kohler engines. IH had them too. Great for tight quarters in an old dairy barn
Hey Farmall, the reason the needle on the amp gauge is showing a discharge is that when they installed the alternator, they didn't reverse the wires on the gauge. The tractor now has a negative ground..
That’s a good bones super c looks like a good one to get ahold of. I’m not sure why but it’s like getting a new bull when I bring a tractor home like that because there’s more in the works behind the scene before long one leads to 3 ha ha

@Tom's Model and Die Cast Barnyard : Restoring a tractor right almost always costs more than they're worth for resale. Especially nowadays. That's why so many old tractors just get splashes of new paint, new seats, & new mufflers before they are sold. Those items are done because most people buy based on appearances. when they added the alternator they made it a negative ground and didnt switch the wires on the gauge so a discharge is actually charging.

@jeff gray : Bingo! 👍 Because a DC ammeter measures the electrical current flow, and DC current only flows in one direction.
