    The US is accepting the challenge of China's high speed trains with a system of high speed buses.

    I took the same G-train route from Beijing West Station to Changsha, on our way to Zhangjiajie, on December 27th. I feel cheated, though. Our train topped out at “only” 350 km per hour. You got to 351! 😂

    If my US government can provide housing to the homeless people that are currently living in tents in major big cities, clean up our streets and parks from filth, drug addicts, and crime; I am happy enough. I don’t expect the federal government’s or state government’s ability, determination, and political will in building high speed trains like the ones in China.

      如果按你所说,那就不是美国了,美国必须靠战争、美元霸权去维护自己的利益,战争和霸权需要更多的投资,所以没有钱照顾,clean up our streets and parks from filth, drug addicts, and crime

      America can't afford this in the first place. Nor does it have the capability to make them

      I feel for you mate... I know most Americans don't represent the top elitest 1% and you're probably struggling like most of us hoping that some of China's good will rubs off our way....
      The US and the collective west needs to experience a hard fall to know they've done wrong... You'd think that the west learned a lesson during ww2 Vietnam war etc...
      The West needs a massive reset and needs to look itself in the mirror....
      The hope for you really is for the US to just accept China is surpassing and is doing things right... And just reach out a hand for cooperation...
      China no doubt wants to help supply you with infrastructure..... China is doing the same for Russia and all Asian countries that have agreed...

    Does the HSR get subsidized? second class price ticket is equal to my country slow train price.

    • @never4ever386
      @never4ever386 24 дня назад +1

      The HSP is a state owned so ticket prices are very reasonable. They would cost a lot more if operations were privatised.

      The distance from Beijing to Nanning is over 2300km, this price of this HSR second class is 1040 yuan/147 USD, the first class is 1666 yuan/235 USD, the business class is 3268 yuan/460 USD. The price of a first class plane ticket is about 2500 yuan after discount.
