Such a beautiful jade tree- just beautiful.Very nice. I do just about the same thing with mine. I just brought mines in A little after Thansgiving just before the first freeze. I feel like they do better when I leave them out till it gets good and cold then move them into a cold house- I put them out in the spring on the first warm rainy day- They love that soaking and flourish in it. Thanks for sharing!
I have a Crassula ovata Jade that has very similar structure as yours except mine seems to have large leaves. Is your Crassula a slightly smaller leaf variety or have the leaves been reduced in size?
Hi, this is the normal "common" crassula ovata. It does not get a lot of fertilizer and in summer sits in full sun. I think the density of branches has helped in reducing the size a bit.
I'm surprised that the leaves didn't drop off and you were able to revive them (and they didn't even really turn that yellow). Is it because it was in REALLY good shape beforehand? My jade plant gets yellow leaves that drop off regularly.
@@CrazyPlantLady911 I have the same problem! Apparently these plants are supposed to be really easy to maintain but I follow the guidelines and mine always end up with fallen leaves and I have to salvage leaves to regrow plants. I'm wondering if it may be due to the occasional temperature changes from hot/warm to cold in rooms rather than leaving the plant alone for the most part. Now I keep them in empty plastic bottles that I have saved, initially to incubate the warmth so that I can grow new plants from separate leaves. It seems to make a difference but isn't ideal.
It could very well be that the shot of water draining in the pot is of a week later, when I watered the second time. I find moss lives through months of draught, to green up quickly once water is available again.
Wow. I never knew this about a Jade plant. I try to water mine when i feel the leaves are a bit softer......should i only be watering it once a month? Or when i see the leaves are shrivled and flat?
I just bout one. And I’m nervous and don’t want to harm it. I have it inside and am wondering about lighting. What do they like in terms of temperature?
you mean a jade? THey love heat, sun and when hot and warm, water. IF it was indoors, trqnsferring it into full sun needs to happen over time, to avoid sunburn1
Perhaps it’s pedantic but that’s an Indian elephant. I don’t know why but I have always disliked succulent plants. However beautiful a jade bonsai is to me it always looks like a fat weed. 😭
I just started my Jade journey today.
And.. how is it doing?
@@GrowingBonsai would you have a video for this plant alone, on how to grow it ? Thnks

That's such a nicely shaped tree
@@joewatkins1667 I agree!
Would love to have one of these... could probably let it grow till I die and pass it to my daughter
They are so easy to grow just take a leaf or even a small little branch stick it in soil and it will grow and they grow fast too
🤤 so satisfying. I re-watched it a few times.
@@SeeNightingale :) Thank you. I do enjoy the spring revitalizations!
Beautiful tree and lovely video. Very informative and concise. Thanks.
😍How old is this jade plant? How long does it take for a jade to reach this size?🌱

Beautiful
Just one question, if the plant is not watered for 7 months, how come there's green moss at around the base of trunk? Just curious😊

Very cool!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Do they get sunburned leaves after bringing them outside after bringing it inside?
Beautiful! They're amazing, aren't they?
Try to get some more sun on it, but do it very gradually so it doesn't burn. 🌱
It cannot get more sun. It is in 16hrs of sun a day.

Do you generally not water it inside over winter? I really liked this short :)
It depends a little. This one I just.. Ahum, forgot about I suppose..
My room and windowsills are full of them. I always thought they were called money trees but the right name is Jade?
Crassula Ovata, Money Vine, Dollar Plant, Fortunate Plant, and Friendship Flower:)
I haven’t seen many jades yet but this one is very pretty, how long did it take to get to this?
Thank you. This is now 9 years from a cutting. See more about this tree here: ruclips.net/video/NEhSP34iY0U/видео.html

Red tips aren't sunburn?
nope
Is this a crassula or a portulacaria?
It's crassula, portulacaria has smaller leaves.
This is a crassula
Amazing 😍
Thanks 🤗
So this is why my jade plant was still alive after 6 months without water
Yes!
Yay

Jade plants are so ugly, waste of water air soil space
