I prefer to make small pieces, too. My quilting projects are all about color. Most people who don't do quilting assume that if you quilt, you only make huge bed quilts. I love making projects that I know will actually finish because one of my favorite parts, is putting on and hand finishing the binding. I get to watch TV while I do that, so I'm looking forward to doing the project in this month's Quilty box. Good luck with yours, too!
+Judy Abernathy I think I will save my English paper piecing for my next long road trip. After watching Leah Day's video of it, I believe it would be a perfect project to do on the road.
+Quilty Box I can barely keep my hands off my February box! It came Saturday and I've been too busy to shoot a video this weekend but so far the box remains sealed for my unboxing.
Just to follow up on our conversation about EPP. I've gotten my project just about finished, and I'll give you a couple hints, if you haven't already finished yours. Use ThreadHeaven on your thread (I used Aurifil to whip stitch, it's very thin and strong). I also use Milliner's needles. Again, very thin. And, one more huge hint: For your basting thread, use a hand quilting thread. It's got the glace finish, and makes it smoother when pulling through the fabric and paper. Also, use a totally different thread color for basting and leave large knots on the top. Each of these make it easier to see exactly which is your basting thread and easier to find when taking the basting out. Otherwise, I find EPP completely addicting. Hope your project goes well.
I love paper piecing. I am more into table runners and mg rugs with a few easy baby quilts . I am also a genealogist and do work for others so it isn't anything strange for me to stay up VERY late doing both. thanks for the video....I just joined Quilty box...sort of wish it had been the January Bo's I love the calicos
I am late to the game - I just watched your video for the Jan 2016 Quilty box because they are now offering to sell the ones they have in stock at a deeply discounted price ($25). I wanted to see what was in it before deciding to purchase. I have gotten about 5 months worth of my years' subscription but I didn't start until after the January box went out. I wanted to thank you for this video which is really helping in the decision making process. I too have a large stash of fabric and I loved seeing yours! So anyway, thanks!
+Melissa Hollis According to their website, you can choose 1, 3, 6, or 12 month plan. I believe I gave them my credit card and they will ship (like an auto renew) until I cancel.

I watch all of her videos, too. I agree, a good project that doesn't take up much room.
