A monofoil. It's the intimidating hurdle for any free ride kite foiler.....until now. In this episode, I chronicle my first session on the Triton T1 monofoil and discuss what I felt in the opening moments on the foil.

I have been riding the T1 under my Lift efoil (with a custom adapter) for over 6 months and this monowing is amazing. Now the new X1 is out for winging and had ordered one. Highly recommended
Finally - another KITE video...
Great review! Looking forward to trying it out. Stoked to see you remember how to fly a kite!!
Great review. I was wondering about these.
Wow... I have one now and I'm seeing how far forward you set it in the baseplate tracks. First day I had mine as far back as possible, next day a bit forward, today I'll copy you
I’d like it to be a little further back but I can’t due to the tnut drop slots in the board.
It was great seeing a new video! Thank you!
I have been tempted to at least try my Hoverglide set up without the rear stab.
I'm so pleased I watched your mini review. I'd never even heard of a stealth looking wing like this.
You've really got me interested.
Just a shame I'm on the other side of the world. It's just turned to winter here!
The designers live in Canada and ride it year round 🥶
@@TheOKKiteboarder In your opinion, would this replace your other foils?
I can really only have one foil but am not able to test the Triton.
My other foil is an Axis V1 with a fairly small wing - solid G10 glass.
I really like the 'playfulness' and ease of fitting it into the car afterwards. Plus not so many sharp things coming back to chop my head off!
With the Naish 100 inflatable board the mono wing works well winging with good strong wind.
Thank you for great review. Simple and interesting story.
Appreciate it Sharaf!
Thanks for the review!
That's so interesting!!!
Thanks for the great video. After a year are you still as enthusiastic about the T1. Do you still use it much? If so when/why do you use compared to a regular foil setup. Thanks Drew
I did buy it. I don’t kitefoil much anymore but when I do, it’s either the T1 or the Delta 1500. I still thinks it’s a great ride and very portable for travel.
Want to see it with the wing ding?
Love your reviews, instructions
Thx Walter. It’s not very spectacular under a wing.
Interesting! Are there any performance benefits over a regular stab setup, or is it mainly a practical benefit? Could you replicate the feeling of the mono just by putting a small stab on your existing setup?
It’s obviously more carvy/less stable. My friend Daniel rides a “stubby” regularly. So it’s a very short fuselage with the stab very close to the front wing. It gives him good results.
I am looking froward to a video with the mono with wing-foiling.
It just doesn’t have the glide under a wing. It’s doable, just no benefits.
Hi. Great video. I love how you present the information and your thoughts, thanks. Getting back to winging for a moment - yes it's addictive - what's your current favourite foil for standard 15-20 knots now? Regards.
Thanks! My favorite hydrofoil for winging is still the Kujira 1210. Also like the Axis 999 and Phantasm foils.
@@TheOKKiteboarder Many thanks for getting back! Enjoy your summer and looking forward to the next video. Regards.
Great Review! Did you try it to Slide? I'm not sure if it's possible with this shape. I just ride Mono. Go for it! Free your mind! :)
Slow down Fabian! …the OK Kiteboarder, remember 😂
An ok guy with mono! Lol
I just might want to purchase your setup top to bottom board, mast, wing total. I've been on the Moses 633 for too long and it's getting a bit boring. Your thoughts on strapless?
Kip, to be honest I still haven’t ridden strapless. I like having the front strap to leverage the board on the waterstart.
@@TheOKKiteboarder You convinced me with this morning's watch to drink the kool-aid. Just like you did three years ago with the Flysurfer Soul 🤣
This would fit in my car without the rear seats folding down. I hope other brands start making monowings too, as it's currently out of my price range.
Yes. It’s price falls in line with performance level freeride foils. Hopefully that can improve.
Where did you place the Mast compared to what you normally ride on your Axis Pocket board. Did you change the mast poisiton at all? Great review!
Pretty far forward. My stance is so narrow that’s where I usually ride it. Front of the mast should split your back riding foot.
This seems soooo cool!!
Can you wing foil with T1 as well?
You can but it lacks the glide. Not ideal for winging.
@@TheOKKiteboarder I guess I have to learn kite foiling then... 🤔🙄..... 😉😋😁
@@Tobeon2 Triton will be coming out with a foil wing for winging soon. Lots of people have been asking for it.
