I saw a counselor for two years. One day we discussed boundaries. I told her mind. Her response was that I had healthy internal boundaries but I wasn't enforcing them in my life. I felt like a doormat for many years. It's tough, the change over. People don't like not being able to make you jump. But, I feel so much more confident now.

My only issue with boundaries I set, they're known, but getting bullied, harassed, verbally & emotionally abused for not doing what is wanted.
Sometimes I just want to sleep and can't because of the annoyance of having a boundary crossed until I enable it to make them to leave me alone.
I am FINALLY at the point where I can no longer allow my adult son (25) to live with me after rehab or after he gets asked to leave sober living etc because he has no where else to go. I finally realize it’s not my problem, even though he has mental health issues. In the past I’ve always thought I need to house him because of his mental health and suicidal thinking, and his limited income because he is on disability. His disease has progressed and now he is getting verbally abusive towards me by constantly talking of killing himself. I can’t take it any more. When he gets his rehab bed, and has some sober time I’ll make sure he knows I love him dearly but I can’t house him any more.

After watching your videos I realized I had been doing pretty much everything wrong. I have been watching and applying your methods and am in much more control of myself. My realionship with AH is much better. I have gotten out of the bad guy roll. Now instead if having a responsive drunk I now have a nice drunk. ?? How do I proceed?

What do I do as far as my husband spending our money on drugs .I feel helpless trying to not say to him don't do it .I can't stop him he always says will I be cross if he goes gets drugs like tonight. Yea he knows I will be but If I say yes then he just shitty with me.i would leave him to it and go out but he wld have then already spent that money and no money for me to even go out ,like even to drive somewhere to visit friends or family not necessarily spending lots of money.
