Hi, my opinion as to why Cebu is vibrant and full of young and educated workforce .. Mostly because of its location. Its in the central hub of almost 80 percent of all islands... 1.The big Universities are there. Every year, Cebu will receive hundreds of thousands of young 16 -18 freshmen aiming just for studies. The city really is full of educated people. 2. The big hospitals are in Cebu- it caters the entire Visayas and Mindanao. So newly grad nurses/doctors are trained there. 3. Old money people lived there for the convinience of living and easy.access to health care, while just an hour or 4- boat -away from their haciendas. They are the ones who have access to spas and beauty care 4. Cebu offers a varied amount of enjoyment, from big malls.to.mountains, from springs to waterfalls to seas and oceans...they got it all.for you 5.Faith tourism. Everyone loves the Sto. Niño...Every visitor of Cebu, even if you were just there for short study period or health issues, whenever prayers are granted you will always be back to Sto. Niño to thank him or to ask.another favor 6. innate. When one is pure in heart and grateful, it radiates. Natural beaty shines within. 7. Mostly not all are locals from cebu, but mostly the ones who are now residing in cebu are resilient, independent, accountable and responsible people just for the fact that they leave their provinces or islands to look for a brighter future. lastly, you probably havent met or seen those beautiful people in the provinces because they are all in cebu studying, intern, nanagkot😂 just wait for all souls day and Holy week- you will see 80 percent of people will leave cebu city out to their provinces
Hi, I agree totally mate. Cebu and it people are very friendly. I went to Cebu in 1977 on holidays. At the time I was in law enforcement. I meet a very beautiful teacher. I went out to lunch I was invited home meet her mum and dad. Extended my holiday for another two weeks I got engaged something clicked. Went home then went back on special leave yes I got married in November 8th at Sacred heart church in Cebu. Now 47 years I I am very lucky Three adult children. Great video
Success story I like to hear. How old were you in 1977? In May, 1981, I had my wedding ceremonies at the same Sacred Heart Church, with an American priest officiating. Got 3 kids, too, now 42, 39 and 38. The eldest is a Computer Engineer, working as Chief Software Engineer for a US-based Japanese software firm located at IT Park. Blessed are we. Are you a Catholic?
I was in Cebu City last week, and the city is busier than ever. I lived in Cebu and Bantayan for 10 years until 2015, but I would never move back. The traffic has become very bad, and the roads are as bad or worse than before. SM Seaside is great, but Ayala and SM were disappointing; time seems to have stood still there, like in many other places in the Philippines. The women in the Philippines are as beautiful and attractive as ever, but unfortunately, many LDR fall apart because what you see on a screen isn’t necessarily a good match. If you want to find love in the Philippines, go there and take your time. I am Norwegian and currently live near Malaga in Spain, which is like heaven compared to the Philippines, and it’s cheaper too. Maybe I sound a bit negative, but that’s how I experience it. However, if you like life to go in slow motion, then the Philippines is the right place for you.
I'm here in Cebu for 3 weeks. Awesome place. Modern city. Clean. Safe. Construction going on everywhere. Condos for sale while the Mactan Condos are being constructed. Beaches. People from many countries. Friendly people here. Better quality of life. I'm going to Bohol for July 4th since the Jetboat only takes 1.5 hours for $35 each. Many more good things to say during my next 17 days here with my Pinay
Hello brother, another great video by you and Chrissy. I have been traveling around the Philippines for over two months now. Right now i am on the beautiful healing island of Siquijor. I met my beautiful Filipina organically just traveling around in the Laguna Los Banos area. So far she’s a keeper 🙌
@@DespicableP i have been making Cebu Lapu-lapu my “homebase” between my travels to other islands. I really have not spent much time there. But from what I hear from other vbloggers is that it’s best to get outside of those populated tourist/foreigner areas to meet a woman. An open heart and kindness is the key no matter where you go in my opinion 🙌
I been to PH twice, visited Cebu twice. It's simply INCREDIBLE, absolutely incredible. The girls there are soooo stinking plentiful and gorgeous. My tinder has +50 matches from all beautiful women within 1 day, I might get 2 matches in USA.
Always great information and production, I really appreciate your work here, the content is what matters, it has value, so I'm good with supporting you, thank you!
I haven’t visited but from video it reminds me of Singapore. Rural Philippines intimidates me a bit so I am drawn to (at least begin in) Cebu. My Filipino co-workers tell me the airport is Ok as well. Esp compared to Manila. I will decide next year (62yo) so this video was much appreciated.
Very nice background view. Expats will feel young and vibrant once you date a Filipina with much, much less western values. They look after their partner with such enthusiasm and adorations. Just do not two time them, you will have a very lasting and enjoyable relationships.
Have been looking forward to this episode about the IT Park in Cebu. Thank you! And the previous subscriber story was entertaining. Real or not. Don't let it bother you. Just keep sharing!
Another good video. I could not agree more. I have in in Cebu a few times and in Mactan Newtown and IT Park is the best I have seen. I have been in those condos and in the newer ones. But a really great area!!
honestly, there is more to the Filipinas, than the looks or dress, go find a uncorrupted Filipina, that is honest, loyal and loving, it can be done, but there is no secret recipe, not even in Cebu or the Province
Completely agree, but being well educated and speaking excellent English are important, and Cebu IT Park has a large concentration of women with those qualities.
I stayed in Avida Towers for 2 weeks in April 2024 . Enjoyed my stay with my Fiance and the staff was great ! Every morning I walked around IT Park in the green space near bus terminal. Highly recommend area for single men .
I was just there in March of 2024. I stayed in Tower 2 of Avida Tower. It was VERY conveniently located, great shopping, lots of great places to eat. The internet was very respectable and I could continue my work using VNC over the link back to servers in the US and never had a problem. I'm planning to go back for 2 months in January!
Enjoyed the vid very much. Wonder if you've ever done one on the likelihood of weather-related hardships and which areas are more or less prone to them.
As a bachelor, I didn't have the same experience in Cebu. I found it to be somewhat like BGC, where everyone was too busy doing their own thing. As far a beautiful Filipina's, I found more approachable girls in smaller cities, but maybe I need to give it another try there. Thanks for that.
Good information. I had already focused on Cebu 1. Because it is not Manilla. 2. My health insurance is good at a large hospital. Then I found the Dumaguete vloggers. Then I found that there are several high end dance clubs. I have enjoyed your channel this past few days,.
Awesome video -- the info, and Cebu IT Park visuals! 🎉 I was previously so set on Makati/BGC (and still am, haha), but Cebu IT Park is definitely/absolutely now on my future itinerary as well. 👏😎 And to a lesser extent, possiblly Iloilo and Davao. 🤏😅
23 Work/ +21 Vacation Days/ 63 Calendar Days before Civil Service Retirement. IT Park in Cebu City for my Six Month Vacation by Mid October. If I acclimate, I might never leave.
my first stay in Cebu was in June 2005. From that point until I met my wife, I visited that city/region 20+ time. We still go there occasionally but now for specific purposes.
I was in PH last year I stayed by Ayala mall and visited IT park a couple of times and walked around in the coffee shops and the busy area. I have to say, I didn't see what he says, there was just normal crowd walking around and sitting in the coffee shop, didn't see a lot of girls like he is saying. Maybe as he said you need to be there 1am or 3am before their shifts start.
I always allow a few grains of salt for how wonderful any place is. They all have their ups and downs and the "eye of the beholder" matters, too. Still, I am warming to the idea of going to visit. I do have an LDR but so far have told her I can't yet afford to go nor could I afford to support her daughter and her as a family. I actually might be able to, but wanted to ensure there was no concept of me as an ATM. I'm 76 and she's 44, so there's that aspect, too.
Rob, it is true about clicking on the camera icon without unlocking the phone. I did this with my own iPhone while it was locked. I was able to access and scroll through and see all the videos and pics that I recently taken. Not just one or two but many if not all of them. Trust me this information is saving somebody’s ass right now as we speak.😂😂😂 thanks guys! I’ll be back in the Philippines mid July.
Intersting video guys. Enjoyed it. I would love to meet a lady like Chrissy. She seems really incredible. IT park is one of the places I am thinking of staying next year. How is the internet there? Im a daytrader so reliable internet is essential for me. Unfortunatley, I keep hearing from vloggers in the philippines that most places there have unreliable internet/electric.
I’m in Cebu City and have spent my fair share of time in IT Park. Reliable and FAST internet in Cebu City is not a problem, in fact it’s generally better than many American cities especially in the more westernized areas such as IT Park, Ayala Mall area, etc.
Thank you for the feedback. I am actually thinking of hiring and training a few filipinos to trade for me. Do you feel that area is a good place to try this? Any input is appreciated.
I just got back from an 8 week explorative trip. It took me a while to realize that the Ayalla Central Block in Cebu IT city is different from Ayalla Mall. Both are multilevel malls.
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines It was during the last 6 weeks of my trip and I had a filipina from near Manila traveling with me, so I didn't pay attention to distractions.
I was there last summer and yes, I got a few smiles from random Filipinas when I was alone in malls. But when I was with my Filipina ex, EVERYONE young, old, male, female looked at me in every mall in Cebu City, like I was some kind of ghost. And yes, some people, even men and women, have told me I look like Johnny Sins. Students or kids I don't know laughed at IT PARK L O L when they saw me and I knew why P.S. I am flying back to Cebu City in a few weeks
Cheers to you and Crissy (a true power couple). Regarding the fable the good doctor share with you (likely pathological related), my personal take after hearing the story, …. Well… I was born at night… but not last night… cheers 😃
Glad you see you posted this video :) I will be arriving Sept 20th (for 3 weeks) in Cebu. I plan to spend 5 days there before headed to Bohol and Dumaguette. I was thinking of staying at Quest, but you made it sound like staying in IT park would be preferable for meeting a good gal. How far, time wise apart are Quest and IT Park? Also, I'm a photographer and love the idea of getting some photos of that night market, are there any customs that I should aware of that people don't like strangers taking their photos while they work?
They have a video on how they met. It's worth a watch. Just click on this channel's name up top and click on "videos." You can search for a keyword such as "met" or just scroll down. Rob & Chrissy's vids are worth watching.
I never walked IT park when I was there now I wish I had. Ayala Mall was NOT a good place to look at all. I am going to check out Baguio next visit to hopefully find the girl for me. Wish me luck!
The story you told on the previous episode was very enjoyable, regardless of true or not true. I enjoy these types of tales. You did an excellent job telling the story, and remind me a bit of George Hamilton's tales, which were only partially true. I like the idea of you telling the stories you come across, and letting the readers vote on "Tall Tale or Real Deal" What do you think?
around IT PARK perimeter is relatively safe since both entry and exit roads are manned by private security agency which are more reliable or efficient than the local govt supervised agency
ayala cebu is the place to go, at one point you said central bloc that is NOT hte place to go. Ayala cebu....girls specifically go there to meet foreigners.
I'm currently considering the Philippines in a few years and have enjoyed your videos. I'm sure you're right about Cebu regarding the pretty, educated ladies, but I'm not very convinced that this is the place for retirees to come. From what I've seen from various videos (and human nature), these more educated Filipinas are likely to be more selective than elsewhere because they have more options. I simply don't believe that age doesn't matter at ALL. You can go on any dating site and see that the Filipinas that are looking don't really DESIRE older men. Sure, some may, especially if you're not a "broke down" retiree and are in good shape. There may be some 25 year olds in Cebu that are willing to be with a 60-65 year old, but I don't think that number is particularly high, especially considering the increased competition. Thoughts?
I actually believe there is an abundance of potential partners, some of what you say has bearing however you would be surprised how much opportunity exists
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines I'm sure I'll give Cebu some time, but @michael-Jon7's "organic" catch seems to be the more likely path to success. I will, however, check it out. He didn't say what he thought of Cebu, or if he had visited there.
@@GUITARTIME2024 Yes, that's what I thought. I'm sure the women in IT Park are probably sick of foreign guys hitting on them. If I'm not mistaken, I saw a video interviewing several that were saying exactly that. Its worth a shot, but I don't think I'll stay there too long. I actually plan to visit some rather off-the-beaten-trail locations that are not too "country" (which I believe Filipinas describe as "Province" women). Thanks for the response!
@@DespicableP Probinsyanas... Village women or barrio women... mujeres del barrio... Hi. I'm a new Sub. I spent last year in Thailand and Cambodia. Now I'm researching Phils with a view towards a long-term visit starting around August. My priorities: Good hospital, mall, good restaurants/access to healthy food, food delivery, *some* nightlife, opportunity for some social interaction. Cebu City sounds like it fits the bill. Agree?
Don’t know why so many modern condos and apartments still have those decades-old, noisy, boxy aircon units. They draw more electricity too. The split unit Inverters by Panasonic are so much quieter, energy efficient and come with a temperature-adjusting remote control.
Thank you again Rob and Chrissy for amazing content, I have recently come across some match matching socials videos, I believe it is called a foreign affair, they do tours Manila, Cebu and Davao, do you know anything about it? is it legit or scam fest ?

@@KutWritehopefully, everything will work out with my long distance girlfriend, so far3 months so good. But one never knows until we are actually together.
I have lived in IT Park for 3 months and one word comes to mind BORING! I'm a single gentlemen and am not impressed with Cebu. Cebu as ZERO nightlife and during the day there's not much to do. Yes, there are many Philippine girls working here in Cebu but have little time to do anything else. My advice to your viewers is to lower your expectations and realize that there is not "The Prefect Place" for anything! "You've got to find yourself first. I tend to agree with you, I've watched so many expats living in Cebu City, saying how great it is and the abundance of pretty women, I'm getting to think they are used car salesmen. Just trying to get the views. I've been studying Cebu for over 2 years now, and as an old texan of 74, I've decided on starting my venture in Iloilo City. better infrastructure, cleaner, less traffic, and safe bicycle lanes, along with the walking esplanades. Since I'm not looking for a companion, I think I'll be just fine there. and eventually venture to other places to visit.
Yes, foreigners can invest in Philippine REITs. However, there are specific requirements. You'll need to open a brokerage account with a licensed Philippine firm. Consider online brokers like BDO Securities, First Metro Securities, COL Financial, or BPI Trade.
I hate to say it but I did meet a Philippina online needless to say we got a little attached now but I'm back in the USA I'm giving it a shot but did tell her not sure what the future holds for us but I do make sure she's ok she has a full time HR job in a office in Makati but she from davao originally
Anywhere in the Philippines that are not in Metro Manila (Makati City, City of Manila, etc. ) is called "provincia/probinsya" by those metro- city people. So Cebu City, Davao City, etc. are generically "provincia/probinsya". Sadly, the mentality is "Manila-centric". Regarding "real" probinsyanas... Village women or barrio women... mujeres del barrio... They are those who live in villages/barrios/barangays/towns/poblaciones. As an example: The resort island of Bohol (area: 4.8K sq km, pop: 1.4M) is 30 km from Cebu City. It's shortest distance to Cebu island is 10km. It is the province with the most towns in the Philippines, totaling 47 towns. It has State Us in 6 locations. Any comments on Cebu Business Park. I'm meeting a call center Filipina there. Her English is better than my ex-girlfriend in Berlin. She easily scores a four/four on the DLI aptitude test.
I'm living in IT Park now for 8 months and have to say It's not THE PROMISED LAND like you put it ... for finding your match! It:s nice for walking with broad sidewalks not too much traffic, green ... But the Filippinas there are used to foreigners, maybe already tired of getting hit too often by them! So you don;t have a foreigner exotic bonus and many of the girls want a filipino partner or one not more older than 5 to 8 years their age ... So do I say it's impossible to find your match there? No, everybody can be lucky, but like everywhere else it needs time and doesn't come with a finger snip!
Wish they had some nice properties in the city even if it's pricer. I couldn't stay in a place like this for more than a week, it's suffocating. You only spend so much time outside, when working or cooking (I eat healthy and would cook mostly), it just feels like a prison. In UK houses already got shoe box sized rooms, so this being even smaller, I would probably want to off myself first week I am staying there. I don't want rent a house in suburbs deal with roaches and all that or commute. Just want a nice looking, spacious duplex / penthouse apt in the city, for a price that make sense for local area, not for the price that's higher than in London. These tiny apts look affordable, until you do the math, it's just too much of a prison cell. Which is fine for backpackers, or go eat and drink and stay out 20h outside per day, but not for digital nomad for example. And doesn't seem like there are many options.
My opinion, forget about meeting women. Set yourself up in the area that has everything you like and concentrate on making your life the best and happiest you can. Be it nature, golf, beaches, food, whatever your into. Then if you meet a lady that makes good life even better great, if not your happy and you'll meet one eventually. Me personally spending half the year in Asia and not really having a scarcity mindset I think setting yourself up for the most mentally healthy and happy life you can is best. Sharing that with a lady is optional and just a bonus.
I simply do not understand why guys place such high importance on "finding a Filipina" as if they are this elusive mystical creature hiding amongst the masses. Go enjoy Southeast Asia and everything else will naturally fall into place.
Truer words are rarely spoken… Guys, quit worrying about what to say, where to go, and all this other “expat relationship” advice… Be yourself, and go have fun, meaning enjoy the moment and lead the interaction in a positive way. Available women are literally everywhere you’ll go here in the Phil’s. Just saying hi is a start ! Westernized spots like IT Park ? The women there I have found to be a little more westernized and “business” oriented meaning these are the ones many expats like to refer to as scammers. They’ll play on your emotions to extract money from you if you allow it and my advice is don’t allow it ! Just say NO… Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of extremely attractive women in IT Park, Ayala Mall area, etc., but I would never seriously consider those areas as being the best place to meet “quality” Filipinas but ymmv. Take your time getting to know this culture first ! That’s the #1 thing to know, and then never forget that women share universal characteristics that if YOU don’t understand as a man, she’ll come into your life like a typhoon all wet and wild and then leave having destroyed or taken all of your belongings including your heart and that applies to women EVERYWHERE! I do think the Philippines has the sweetest and highest quality women on the planet and most Filipinas do not seem to be confused as to whether they’re a man or a woman Clarification regarding my comment “go have fun.”, is not meant to abuse the beautiful women here. Don’t lead them on me and treat them well. Be a gentleman. In a very broad sense, you’re going to find the majority of Filipinas to have wonderful feminine characteristics that are extremely attractive and sadly now missing from many American women and that’s what us Americans and other men from westernized “feminized” countries notice first and it’s extremely alluring
Hi. I love your content and the interaction between the two of you. I'm 66 but I am always told that I look at least 10 years younger. My question, would this make me more desirable as an expat seeking a mate?
Cebu is the best I’ve lived here for eighteen years. How about those dividend paying stocks? You were a successful businessman . Come out with it. Don’t be bashful.
I don't think it's your responsibility to spend an hour on the phone trying to veriify if the stories are true, it seems like it could be true, some details are questiionable but it's the audiences job to take it for what it's worth. If you really want to talk to the guy to verify it then you'd might as well just have him on the channel and interview him!!!
I disagree. The internet is already full of BS and spin and propaganda. I think and hour to vet someone is quite reasonable with the understanding that sometimes some BS may sneak by. I'm here to learn, as an educator I know that learning is easier if the presentation is entertaining, but I'm not here for entertainment.
@@DrJamesBWood Well you're entiitled to your opinion but i think the moral of the story, what you can actually learn from it, is exactly the same regardless of how true all the details of the story are, the main point is be careful who you get close to, not everyone is honest or has good intentions, develope an abundance mindset and draw clear boundaries, if you do those simple things you shout be all goot dawg!!!

Fly me to the Philippines! Right. I looked into getting a flight to the Philippines you guys got to be millionaires. The prices just to get there can can cost thousands just to get there. You have to really do hunting, and be very lucky to find an inexpensive flight so many flights going to the same place but have all different prices. I don't know if I would ever be able to pay for anything outside of the U.S. I'm 63 never been on a plane and it's very confusing a plane can go so far then you have to take more than one plane to get to just one direct place 😠 such things are just about impossible for a 63 year old guy on social security disability. And I found out S.S can automatically cancel my S.S. if I'm out of the states for more than 30 days. I only get about 65,000 pesos a month. I don't know how a lot of you guys can do such things on what seems to be on a regular basis.😠✌️♥️🙏🙏
Disability can cancel your payments if you are outside the country. Since you are older than 62 you may be able to switch to straight social security but I don’t know what that would change your monthly payment too. I get most of my flights for $1300-1450 by using Google Flights to track the cost. Not knowing where you live the numbers I’m quoting are from Spokane WA to Manila
Yes, the flight is a huge part of the costs and is a grand or two. Few of us are millionaires unless you are counting in pesos. I've worked hard and own my house free and clear, if I were to rent it out I think I could do OK or better in the Ph off that income but coming and going frequently would be an issue.

honestly, there is more to the Filipinas, than the looks or dress, go find a uncorrupted Filipina, that is honest, loyal and loving, it can be done, but there is no secret recipe, not even in Cebu or the Province

As a bachelor, I didn't have the same experience in Cebu. I found it to be somewhat like BGC, where everyone was too busy doing their own thing. As far a beautiful Filipina's, I found more approachable girls in smaller cities, but maybe I need to give it another try there. Thanks for that.

Guess you are in your 40s. The hourglass is half full.
It's exaggerated mate. I just came back
I always allow a few grains of salt for how wonderful any place is.
Perhaps enthusiasm is contagious

Im a daytrader so reliable internet is essential for me. Unfortunatley, I keep hearing from vloggers in the philippines that most places there have unreliable internet/electric.
I’m in Cebu City and have spent my fair share of time in IT Park. Reliable and FAST internet in Cebu City is not a problem, in fact it’s generally better than many American cities especially in the more westernized areas such as IT Park, Ayala Mall area, etc.

I just got back from an 8 week explorative trip. It took me a while to realize that the Ayalla Central Block in Cebu IT city is different from Ayalla Mall. Both are multilevel malls.
Which did you find better for meeting filipinas?
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines It was during the last 6 weeks of my trip and I had a filipina from near Manila traveling with me, so I didn't pay attention to distractions.
I was there last summer and yes, I got a few smiles from random Filipinas when I was alone in malls. But when I was with my Filipina ex, EVERYONE young, old, male, female looked at me in every mall in Cebu City, like I was some kind of ghost.

"You've got to find yourself
first. Everything else'll follow." - Charles de Lint

Off topic, but is there a Phillipinne REIT that US investors can invest in to get a piece of the looming commercial RE boom in that country?
Yes, foreigners can invest in Philippine REITs. However, there are specific requirements. You'll need to open a brokerage account with a licensed Philippine firm. Consider online brokers like BDO Securities, First Metro Securities, COL Financial, or BPI Trade.

It's not THE PROMISED LAND like you put it ... for finding your match!
It:s nice for walking with broad sidewalks not too much traffic, green ...
But the Filippinas there are used to foreigners, maybe already tired of getting hit too often by them!
So you don;t have a foreigner exotic bonus and many of the girls want a filipino partner
or one not more older than 5 to 8 years their age ...

BGC has some larger condos that are quite spacious however, it’s gonna be pricier
Good advice

I do think the Philippines has the sweetest and highest quality women on the planet and most Filipinas do not seem to be confused as to whether they’re a man or a woman
Clarification regarding my comment “go have fun.”, is not meant to abuse the beautiful women here.

Hmm many are here on military disability
