Polish saber fighting style is so elegant, alongside longsword techniques !

I find shorter people do really well at saber. They cover the most likely line of attack (head) with hanging parries and meanwhile have no qualms cutting my long, lanky legs and thighs! As for the sabers, they are made by Hollywood combat center and Dave Baker, they weigh a little over 2lb and the POB is 6 inches from the guard.

I love this style of fencing. It almost looks like something out of a movie, with it's fast parry-riposte exchanges.

And, if you think saber rattling is hard, try Polish grammar. lol.

Thank you for commenting. It is the most cinematic I'd say!

I love using hanging parries as they work very well for winding up your attack. I've been meaning to use this as an advantage to my short stature when sparring.
I'm rather curious to the weight and PoB of those polish saber blunts you use.

Hmm the weapon is not Polish Saber, and a style of fencing in Poland is (probably "was" is better word) a little different. However it looks good.

this is so wonderful fencing! I am looking to get into polish saber fencing, and as for not I only played around with british saber fencing sources, and only have a Peter Rygenyer easton saber for steel drilling. what would be the biggest difference in a polish saber besides the Obvious greater curve , maybe wight and balance changes the way to power it etc? and plus what would be a good trainer for a polish saber? i don't see any in the market ple enlighten me. I have the specs padded heavy sabers, they have got that curve but not he wight.

+100RAmen Hello! Ok, so go look at Amazon and type in Polish Saber. My book shows up, Richard Marsden! Only book on the market in English that I am aware of. It has information on gear and then what sources we use and all that. See if that does the trick for you!

Wszystko fajnie ale sztuka krzyżowa to to nie jest. Wszystkie ataki z nadgarstka ktory nie ma sily w porównaniu do ataku calej reki w sztuce krzyzowej..
