@@nadaduo1765 because the sharks are rebuilding. San José needs élite Dman in 4-5 years not right now

Love this trade for the sharks, EK65 was never what we wanted him to be for the sharks. Grandlund is one of ur best players now and a good influence for the youth coming in. Plus that 1st rounder turned into Dickinson!… very happy

Kent Hughes masterclass. We turned a cap dump and deph forward into a 2nd, Pearson, 3rd, Durandeau, 4th. Pearson is now an FA and our young guys built on his experience. Durandeau most likely won't be anything. But now we just wait to see what he does with 2 1sts. 2 2nds, 2 3rds, 2 4ths in the 2025 Draft from this. Could've been better, definitely could've gotten more for Desmith and Petry. But still great

Perso I think the winning team in this trade is definitely the Sharks that go rid of Karlson’s enormous contract, then you have the habs that got a few picks which is good and then you have Pittsburgh that’s already tied up cap wise that are now stuck with a 11M plus contract for another 3 season he was so so this season very far away from the 101 points season he got in a aging Pittsburgh Penguins team that should start there rebuild pretty soon

Agreed. Plus they got Grunlund a very good player.

Well habs got a few picks and got rid of Hoffman but yeah The sharks still won this more even if they ended up receiving Hoffman through it

Yeah that’s a win for everyone which is what trades should aim to be. They dont need to rob the other team they just need to improve compared to other teams. In fact if the other team is satisfied it’s a plus because they’ll be open to more deals.

Pens got rid of some anchors and came out pretty even in my book, I expect better results this year with some of the coaching changes as well as some new faces on the roster. People who expected 100+ points are on crack, the pp is key for pens this year
