I will never forgive Poch for playing Kane instead of Moura. A huge disrespect IMO

I hear you, although I’ve always thought Poch would have got more stick if he’d not started Kane and we’d lost. Tough decision COYS

@@barnabyslater_ after that Lucas hat trick? Nobody would have given Poch a stick cuz of that IMO, but i understand what you mean - losing sides always have a reason and "know" where to point their finger at :) . And yes, i think we overcelebrated too early, but it was crazy, cant forget it ever!

I hadn't forgotten any of it but it was a beautiful trip down memory lane. Thanks! The wheels had already started coming off for that team but they were such a joy to watch, gutted they didn't win anything.

We turned the TV off after Sterling scored, and there were a few angry words about being a Spurs fan. Then my sons phone pinged an alert, he said they are checking for off-side, we could not get the TV back on quick enough. Everything changed in those few seconds, from abject despair to euphoria. And the semi, even better.

Great stuff Barnaby, just as I remembered it. I'm pretty stoic but I wanted to cry when we lost the final. And the City and Ajax CL matches were absolutely euphoric for me. It was still a pay-off year for me as a Spurs fan, a new level.

Jan Vertoghens incredible game against Leverkeusen remains the best performance I’ve ever seen by a right wing-back. He’d hardly ever played at conventional right back for Spurs previously, let alone as an out-and-out wing-back, and it leaves me wondering why Poch had been wasting all that skill, pace and amazing crossing ability for all the years he’d been at Spurs beforehand and then afterwards…
