I had this combo that came to me as non runner with an immobilizer problem, however, rather that fix it, I have been requested to remove the immobilizer from the engine module.
In this video I will show you how is done.
In order to successfully disable the immobilizer on this ecu, you might need to do the following:

Great video, thank your for sharing! If you want to perform different kind of attacks on the ECU for testing purpose, is this the optimal way to set it up? I was thinking about manipulating the data inside the ECU to see how it reacts.
Read and write the eprom is usually done this way... for the flash/maps, you also do it through the OBD port on a wide range of ECUs...

Thanks for video. I tried to use my galletto v54 clone thru obd. I could upload from ecu, but after downloading flash it was not able to detect ecu again. Tried few times with no luck. Hi sir today I have done egr delete on pretty much the same ecu MJD 6F3 1.3.
However I am facing an issue which is check engine light when I reinstalled the ecu. But the car doesn't give any DTC when I scanned it. the check engine light is on.
I hope you help me with issue thanks in advance.

Well... there is always a slim chance of damaging/block an ecu while reading or write... true that those increase with the use of clones...

K-tag shows you the connections...
According to ktag you need to connect all 10 wires but you only connect 5 wires on bdm how you find your own connections?
From K-tag... If you look carefully, on the BDM connector, only 5 pads actually make connection...

Where did you got that new file which you have written on the ECU? And how did you know it won't damage the ECU or something on the car?
If I recall correctly the software was the original but modified, from the actually same module...
But if you have the software that is from a secure source and is for that module, should be ok...

I got new ecu and resistor wasn't on it already. should I take resistor from old one after cloning and put back on new ecu or is not need it after cloning? will ecu work with no problems with out this resistor ? thank you
I would put it back... if was there initially...
There a slightly different ecu version, which I believe does not need the resistor... not sure now of all the details...

There are 5 lines from 5 tag and 2 lines on the other port for power.
2 port lines = VCC + GND
5 port lines = TRS, TDS, TDO, TDI , GND ?

What exactly are you looking for?
K-tag comes obviously with all the necessary software to run the device...
If you are talking about the actually ECUs software/maps, that a completely different story... there is not really a place... there is a few payable databases online... then you have forums etc...

hi i have motorcycle repair shop and i want to upgrade my business so ia can do ecu mapping removing faulty codes and dyno tuning. so if i by ktag tool i can read motorcycle ecu and put maps back on to it but can you tell me this what software is the best for motorcycle reprogramming and does ktag tool have info on how to wire up different ecu's so i can read them and map them. Thanks for the answer. :)
Unfortunately I don't have experience with bikes... K-tag does support some bikes, but I never explored it...
Don't really want to say much more... as there is probably better tools out there dedicated just for bikes...

hi I got myself a Ktag and managed to read the data from the ecu but it didn't read like yours. just before reading Ktag said the variant was unknown and only offered me a full back up that was saved as three separate files. a 237kb ,(no abbreviations next to it) 4kb epr and a 513kb mpc file.Im picking up a used ecu in the morning and im not sure what file I should choose when I try to write the eeprom.many thx

Just write the full back up back... but the epr should be your eeprom...

Search for a K-tag that comes with all the cables...

Im never saved eeprom of from my car and they did diesel scandal update on it !! would you happen to know where I can find the file from ? I have a 2.0TDI mt

Hi any way to program Corsa d ecu without old ecu EPROM,got a replacement ecu but my old ecu EPROMs damaged ?
You need the pin from your car and the pin from the replacement ecu...unless the replacement ecu has been reset, which in that case the pin from your car is enough...
From there, with the right tool, is a 10 minute job...

Home put it on the car and it blow the main relay fuse and burned inside of ecu
So don’t want to risk damage again as the ecu has just cost me £200

Depends which side of the ecu you reprogram...
If you reprogram the flash (maps), immobilizer should stay intact...
If you reprogram the eeprom, then there is a change that the immobilizer is affected...

The file was the original file after the modifications... K-tag only reads and writes the files... does not come with them...

In that case I would probably think twice...
If the module has never been installed on a car, why you just don't put it in and with the pin code program it to the car?
@@LMAutoRepairs I wish was possible. There some initial SPS programming (dealer only) I suspect so the diagnostic tools can deal with the configuration (VIN, PIN, etc). Is there any way to reset the MPC563 over BDM?
I never programmed a new one... did a new airbag module with SPS... but never had to do an engine ecu...
Get hold of the correct flash for that particular module then... and flash it with K-tag...

You can do it with winols... providing you have the original dump...

You could do it in old ECUs... when the checksum was easy to calculate and the algorithm were simple... nowadays it is much more complicated... an it is nearly a science on its own...
With the original dump, winols can recalculate the checksum and put it on the modified dump... simple as that... providing winols can do it for the ecu in question... there is other software out there cable of that...

Ah... got you... The EDC is the ecus from Bosch...
The ecu is usually labeled, so check the label...
Some ecus don't show that, but will have the part number, just search by the part number....
