I agree the song is amazing and my fav from the album. I did wonder about the reference to a “record store” and wondered when it was written.

Dan actually released it as a single in 1980 & then in 1981 as part of The Innocent Age albums. So great to see it being covered & heard by a new generation of music lovers.

What a beautiful tribute to Dan's musical legacy. I remember Dan well from High School, absolutely the most talented student in our Speech & Drama class. This brings back memories.
you're lucky to have known Dan Fogelberg. I won't lie - this is the only song of his that I know. but to me, it's the R&B equivalent of All Too Well by Taylor Swift. I always add it to the Christmas playlists I make every year. (EDIT: corrected the last name spelling)

This song I somehow never have heard before the BSB cover, but it is so beautiful. Their voices and harmonies make the song majestic and it is definately my favorite sing from the album.
Moreover it makes my voice tremble every time I hear it because it was the song playing in the background when my girl and I found out the baby she is carriying is a son and a new generation of BSB fans

Thanks for paying homage to the late, great Dan Fogelberg. You didn't change it much, which is appreciated. Nothing will ever match Dan's rendition because it actually happened to him and he sang it with great emotion. Perhaps his best rendition is one of the first times he performed it live, which you can find here on RUclips from his Carnegie Hall concert.
I grew up listening to the original Folgerberg song. So glad they redid this song. It's the best of the whole album.
