Asking cause you say you are here to deliver...straight up. Hey, I've been trying to make hardo but can't find anywhere a recipe to make it like Time and Patience in Mobay or Hammond's in Sav. QUESTION: If I was to kneed the dough another 10 after the first rise, like you do with the coco breads would I get a more dence loaf or hard as a rock? Thanks
Thank you so much for this delicious recipe. I watched the video 2 times and took notes of all your wonderful tips and directions. You are a great teacher. This is what I wrote based on your narrative. I hope I did you justice. 1. Sift 3 cups of APF into a mixing bowl. 2. Add sugar, salt, and yeast to the flour and mix well until yeast is not visible 3. Combine the oil and the milk and mix 4. Pour milk mixture into flour mix until it comes together to form a ball 5. Lightly flour your bench or counter top 6. Place dough on counter top and lightly sprinkle with flour 7. Knead for 10 minutes until dough comes together smoothly 8. Shape the dough into a ball 9. Oil the bowl and the dough 10. Cover with plastic wrap and towel and place in a warm, dark place to rise. 11. Let rise for 1 hour 12. Punch dough down to release the gas then repeat steps 5 to 8 13. Pre-heat oven at this point 375* 14. Partially melt butter and and add 3 tbsp oil 15. Cut down into the number of pieces you want ( 6 - 8) 16. Roll each piece into a ball 17. Lightly flour and use a rolling pin to smooth it to desired size 18. Brush on the dough with butter oil mixture 19. Fold the dough over (DO NOT PRESS CLOSE) and place on foil lined baking sheet 20. Repeat steps 17 to 18 for remaining balls of dough 21. Let dough rise for 15 minutes 22. Bake at @ 375* 15 MINS 23. Remove from oven and immediately brush with remaining butter and oil mix
Yesss and also another trick i learnt is to put the dough in the microwave, don't turn it on. Just place it in there coz its dark and warm and it rises like crazy. Try it!!!!
My microwave is too small to use and I live in a cool basement suit so instead I preheat my oven on the lowest possible setting and when it beeps ready, I turn it off, crack the open door just a tiny bit to let some of the heat escape. Then I go mix my dough . By the time I'm ready to put my covered dough inside, it's the perfect temperature for rising dough.

I made coco bread last week using a very popular recipe on RUclips. It was soft and light but the taste was not it. I made this recipe and the only thing i did different was the second knead. I punched down after the first rise and kneaded for only one minute and formed the dough into 6 balls, then rested for 5 minutes, then rolled out the dough as shown in the video. Oh, i also used regular whole milk. For some very strange reason, this recipe tasted more like coco bread than the one i tried last week using coconut milk 😂. My bread came out looking really good looking ngl, but the taste is really good and you instructions are 🔥. One thing i was confused about is the recipe also called for 2 tbsp sugar apart from the 1/3 cup. I could figure out where to put it so i left it out. Thanks a mil for this recipe.
