X2 Clone Wars was my jam back in the day. Two notes, 1. Wolverine does regen a limited amount of health in Clone Wars. 2. Is there a reason the health bar in Clone Wars is cropped off the left side of the screen? 3. Clone Wars is also a co-op game double team it and beat it.
"Gamit is the most 90's X-man." I think someone forgot about Adam X The Xtreme. Though in all fairness, if you're going to forget one X-man, it might as well be Adam X the Xtreme >_>
Yeah, Brennan and Matt brought up a good point at the beginning. Why doesn't Professor X invite the Morlocks into the Xavier mansion, or at least build them a better place to stay with his unspecified fortune? He knows where they are, he knows how to get to them, yet he still lets all these people live in the fucking sewers like animals.
Had this on SNES and it was basically a memory shooter. I learned how to cheese out the mecha in Beasts stage, and I learned patterns for Cyclops. I don't think I ever completed the other stages
Now I'm not one to disagree with Matt when it comes to obscure comic book games but that first game looked way better than the second. No leap of faith jumps because the camera won't show the landing and your jumps don't do different things based on reasons.
I know it doesn't matter, and I don't wanna be "that guy," but 23:22 to 24:00 almost killed me. Like...please stop climbing the wall and just move on. Please.
I played Mutant Apocalypse for years and never had a difficulty with it. The special moves are a bitch with the quarter roll, but otherwise it's a good beat em up. Never had a Genesis so can't comment there. But War of the Gems? Yeah, that sucked. Especially how much they nerfed Wolverine in comparison to MA.
I guess I'll be that person and say I liked SNES X-Men better. I played both alot as a kid, and I never really got into X-Men in the Genesis, even though I got further in it. The SNES is for sure much harder but I really didn't like the sound effects of the Genesis one, and the SNES one looked so much better. I hated the camera in the Genesis one alot too which I never had that problem on the SNES one. I think both games are good ultimately.
Same here. Played both to heck as a wee babby, but felt the snes one was of much higher quality. To me, the only thing the genesis one had going for it was the fact that it was 2 players.
Jean came back to life before Cyclopes cheated on her with Emma Frost and then he tried to bullshit his way out of the doghouse by saying it was just a mental affair.
Mutant Apocalypse is so absurdly better... you just need some time to get the gist of it, but there's special moves, lots of missions... I can't prefer the Genesis version. The animations are stiff, the levei design is repetitive and confusing... The one thing that would make this crystal clear is a tutorial for the moves you have on the SNES game. The game just assumes you'll know, and when you're talking about a beat 'em up using quarter-circles and shit, that's usually not part of the experience.
Better woolie is here. He doesn't get rid of funkopops, he destroys them.

I like that when you look up Brennan's wikipedia page, one of his wrestling nicknames is listed as "better woolie"
"Once you go Morlock, you're gonna want mor....lock"

I actually found the first Genesis Xmen game to be pretty dang good.
@@LafanSaberX I forgot about the assists AND 2 PLAYER COOP
Shit was ahead of it's time
I have never seen anyone die on the opening stage of X-Men 2...that takes real talent....it ain’t that damn hard
I was promised low quality content
Super Saiyan Wrestler Super Saiyan Woolie is HIGH QUALITY
"I see someone who was right." I fucking love Better Woolie.

The genesis game is actually pretty easy and fun. They just suck and keep walking into the same hits over and over
Aw I was waiting for Matt and Wollie+ to get hype over those special moves in Mutant Apocalypse. Really puts that game ahead for me.
A classic game from my childhood
I never understood why Rogue and Gambit couldn't go at it. Condoms exist. Was that really the dealbreaker?
Had this on SNES and it was basically a memory shooter. I learned how to cheese out the mecha in Beasts stage, and I learned patterns for Cyclops. I don't think I ever completed the other stages
LOVED this game. Rented it from blockbuster so many weekends.
Gambit has Bison's scissor kick
ITS HIM! THE LEGEND! THE SUPERSTAR!
Oh hey, Brennan came too.
Something about assimilation by ninjas is hilarious to me.
Gambit: Let's kick butt, mon ami
This sounds like Matt playing games with Bob's Burgers! 😆 👌🏻 Brennan sounds a lot like him! 😅
What do you know? Feb. 5th is Brennan's birthday.
Happy BDay Mr. GBO!
Betsy : Hottest X-woman ever...

Cyclops was right. X gonna give it to ya
Yo, Matt got Majin Woolie on the Flophouse. I thought that this channel was about low expectations?
SONIC TRIPLE TROUBLE
Psylocke is the best character in this game.
Psylocke was THICCC before Chun-Li
Chad Serrant Okay. I'll admit Beast is top tier.
Mutant Apocalypse was the hardest game i played on snes. And I owned Drakken
All these years and Matt STILL won't shut up about Face/Off.
I know it doesn't matter, and I don't wanna be "that guy," but 23:22 to 24:00 almost killed me. Like...please stop climbing the wall and just move on. Please.
Miss xmen in the hands of capcom. And xmen being part of marvel games.

Cool guest!
Great video guys!
Psylocke is so fine
Actually X-Men Apocalypse did incorporate the A in to apocalypses suit

I used to think I sucked at this game. Now I know it's just hard.
Is that future NXT champion Better Woolie that I hear?
What's an X-Men? Sounds pretty forgettable.
Tryhardblackguy They served a function that can be filled by other characters now
@@valletas being part of the worst marvel storyline ever is nothing to brag about
Mutant apocalypse is totally the better game
I want to watch the OMEGA REDDO clip but I can't for the lifd of me find it anywhere. HELP
It is a known scientific fact that Genesis X-Men are far superior to SNES X-Men
And you can play as Magneto in the Genesis game. He is super powerful. Has a shield ability, can hover, and magnetic blasts.
@@jesseperry9602 Yes sir, yes you can!
Zaku!
Damn it matt, stop trying to push face/off.
